  1. yes I think there might be a few... obviously none of portable van type kebab places though.. There's at least 30 european/greek/lebanese/The land of goat sphincter rings type places in the book. Stalactites in the city has kebabs don't they? I know they're in the book. Anyway you can do a full search here: http://www.entertainmentbook.com.au/entert.../melbourne_0607 Cheers
  2. from memory no But I guess you could use the gokart voucher, steal a gokart and then save $$ in premium petrol hehe. (how much mileage do you get with a gokart??)
  3. Entertainment Books will be available again next year, thankyou!
  4. maybe his aggression was his way of saying he likes you hehe lol I think that dude at chasers has been playing too much GTA like the rest of us
  5. He's alright, feeling much better apparently. He won't be out of hospital for at least a few days, maybe a week and he will be taking it real easy for a while. Anyone that wants to drop anything off is welcome to leave it here and I'll take it over.
  6. My friend who is a TMU officer went and asked superiors caus he wasn't sure and was told: nothing higher than 30cm from the bottom of the dash or it's an obstruction of vision. And yes we both agreed that was ridiculous. I'm not sure if he was specially referring to a 180 but it's pretty ridiculous either way, I don't even know what you'd count the 'bottom' as... maybe the cluster or the plastic piece below it? I think mounting on the pillar is even defectable in QLD now. Definately not legal in VIC.
  7. Alan's right.. for the majority of import (car) owners on here it IS 90db Anything before 1983 is 96db And its actually on the EPA website somewhere. Apparently those exhaust control valves you can get from nengun etc are illegal too, but I guess thats only a problem if you get your exhaust inspected by vicroads/EPA. Edit: here you go http://epanote2.epa.vic.gov.au/EPA/Publica...31?OpenDocument
  8. id like to know how they plan on testing it on the side of the road. If they're not required to test it straight away, it seems a little too open for them to just impound whoever they like.
  9. lol she'll be much more comfortable in pvc you know http://i21.ebayimg.com/02/i/07/b0/11/1c_1.JPG someone has just GOT to photoshop this pic (not heteromale safe) http://i12.ebayimg.com/02/i/03/97/7e/3c_1_b.JPG
  10. more dinner type nights sounds good! PS I vote we go to entertainment book places.. besides anything those places have already been voted as top melb restaurants
  11. For those who couldn't make it last night, do we now have a better model for the jackets than 'Handsome Dan'?
  12. I was pulled over there as well a couple of years ago in the gazelle, I was 'driving too slowly'.. (because we were trying to find the house that was vacant) on an empty street at night.. pfft.. apparently there's a power station or something there that would be the #1 terrorist target in melbourne.. but that's only according to the TMU chick that pulled me over. I think there's something to this socalled 'blitz' but it's not only around those areas.. I haven't been hassled once around here (northern burbs) until last week and a few days later I personally saw about 4 cars getting defected in the same area, all on the same day, including a ricey supra which was pulled over right in front of me. And then 10mins later the same cop was sitting on the side of the road, ignoring a bunch of people speeding/being 'hoons' etc and obviously waiting for a ricer to drive past. Also been told by a workshop that they're getting everyone around here for ground clearance atm. Maybe they're trying to pump everyone's tax returns back into the govt.
  13. teehee yeh you tell him.. girls are always right pfft
  14. preston, bell st is open late?
  15. no! I need a stock exhaust! MINE! Of course if I end up getting a custom front pipe tomorrow it won't matter probably. what did he get defected for? ground clearance by any chance!? cnuts! I might have some rods, will check tonight, whereabouts are you?
  16. grr sick last month and a school meeting this month.. will see if we can get there but won't be early, at best.
  17. indeed its not up to a customer to know what they need done, or else what good is a mechanic other than saving me from breaking a nail or 2. PS damn you! I just realised I'm probably up for 100k service too!
  18. you have to wonder how he was driving to the boat if he didn't have trader plates on.. maybe it was a dodgy private importer?
  19. yes but not long ago they did a roadside blitz out in airport west to catch all those people with outstanding warrants for not paying their parking fines.. might not be a problem now but the next time you get pulled over.. they can actually arrest you, so 'dont pay the fines' is really bad advice (no offence).. Also I had a sheriff turn up to the door once with a warrant looking for a previous tenant so it does happen.. I pay by bpay so I make like $10 payments and then they send you a letter saying you cant make part payments, please pay the (fine minus $10) in another 14 days from date of this letter.. keeps getting extended for months with no fees..
  20. wow how convenient that all those factors made it very easy for someone to steal the car and just 'happened' to be at the servo during that 2min window (conveniently lots of mods that can be easily sold too) Anyway I hope you get it back and in one piece.
  21. *sent you a pm
  22. Sorry to hear that Mic Are they not listed on your insurance policy? No cameras in the carpark or on the street either? Hope you get them back, or it'd be even better to get a payout for the market value of those wheels so you can buy a new set
  23. grr last 3 piss me off.. but the worst is tailgating at 100/k hr.. also on the Ring Rd are the worst tailgating pricks (yes tradies are def #1 offenders) who sit 1m from your ar5e even though there's 2 lanes full of traffic and at least 1+ cars directly in front of you holding you up.. I don't know what/where they expect me to do/go but some of them don't even back off when they have brakelights suddenly flashing them even now and again.. use Bec's method when really necessary too.. even if it holds up 5 more cars behind them.. some people just don't get the msg tho.. and they are all out today of course, grr. One other problem is at the Montague St entrance to the Westgate.. they do not look at all before they move into the left lane.. (its added lanes not a merge).. had to swerve/brake a few times now to avoid having a fatal collison with a truck or 3. The other thing that really annoys me is morons who think they need to prove that their sh1tboxes are faster than the 180, and try to cut me off or change lanes RIGHT in front of me only to go under the speed limit. Doesn't happen even half as much in the 32 gah. You guys don't have enough bandwidth for the rest of my ranting..
  24. have a great birthday berin
  25. We normally get our import paints mixed up at the rear of Kia Preston Motors in Campbellfield VIC.. they have PPG paints there and do it on the spot. You can get it in litres or get a spray can done for about $20 (from memory) if you only need it for touchups/small areas. Hope that helps.
