    Super Bad

i'll have to go against the grain here and say it was lame only had 2 really funny moments
  2. there's a degree of interaction removed i guess, but the difference such a system makes to quick lap/sprint times would be substantial
  3. now everyones on the same page
  4. I wuz there to witness the occasion with mine own eyes! , and have a cheesy pic of myself next to the freshly applied RH9 sitcker. lol 'Grats Paul
  5. The difference is a bit more profound than that. Some M-series Beemers, Ferraris and Lambos have used computer clutch controlled semi-auto gearboxes for ages now- But DSG is a twin clutch setup, that pre-engages the next gear up or down depending on the driving style. The control computer disengages one clutch while engaging the alternate clutch as soon as the other one has stopped driving the input shaft. So you have a near seamless gearshift, and almost no idle-time in the power transmission.

    single pegger?
  7. Yes, the latest Golfs have DSG too It's one of the reasons why a Veyron can run 0-100 in around 2.5 seconds
  8. The Veyron is the only one so far. VAG (who own Bugatti) were the first company to use it in a road car- The Audi TT. Although the gearbox in the Veyron was developed in conjunction with Riccardo. Over 50,000 man hours worth of development, apparently.
  9. A friend of mine had one of these Coppermix twins in his 32 GT-R- It was heeeaps nicer to use in traffic than my old Exedy twin. I'm sure you'll get used to it.
  10. The same joke was used recently in an email forward we got at work about a guy selling a road bike hmmm....
  11. i guess you can be thankful they weren't the especially low breed of idiot that keys nice cars they'll never be able to afford
  12. How about charge $2000 dollars for a ticket, but sell 'em with a $1950 cash back guarantee if you get the stub validated inside the event? That'd sort the scalpers out
  13. I'll only watch it if the Honda's are running SR20 Spoon engines, and if the GT-R's and Supras can be on full throttle for about 2 minutes, and still only just be getting to 160km/h, after changing up through 17 gears. Oh, and every NAAAAAWS powered car needs to have at least 8 NOS tanks to be taken seriously. And this dude just has to get a role in the next one
  14. Don't mean to be rude, but 14 seconds seems like a huge margin over 3.1 kilometres.
  15. Homologated weight of V8 Group-A touring car in '92 : 1350kg Of a '92 Group-A GT-R : 1500kg....20kg heavier than road spec. No wonder it was harder on brakes!!!
  16. Hmmm...good point I suppose by the time other Euro/Jap stuff gets here, we've seen enough of the spy shots months earlier from o.s that no-one bothers to take much notice of the 'imports' getting a local shake-down when it's about to go on sale in it's domestic market anyway.
  17. MS may have the records behind him now, but HE could have done well to study drivers of yore that had speed and race-craft by the bucket load (ref: Senna, GV, James Hunt etc etc) but managed not to come across as a shifty SS-Operative in training
  18. Mebe he could get some tips from Herr Schumacher Snr's dirty trick playbook- Esp. the chapter titled 'How To Understeer And Make It Look (sort, kinda....if ur dense) Like It Wasn't What You Wanted The Car To Do' re: Monaco
  19. the board has the greasy Spaniards name on top of it
  20. I heard a while back that He's contractually forbidden to ever be seen in a Skyline on a race track again But that could just be bumf How could an R34 GT-R not chew up and spit out the current crop of V8 Stockcars Supercars if they were allowed to race and be as non-factory as the Falcodores are.
  21. Pretty good if they've managed to avoid the photographers from Wheels and MOTOR But what other cars do they ever homologate for Australian conditions specifically?
  22. Yeah- I used the Esanda site to come up with $2200p/m over 3 years assuming a 65% retained value at the end of the term. Now I just gotta start a company where I can write off 50% of the kays for business use....
