  1. probably same as the factory coils, so 10+ years
  2. covered in the PFC FAQ in my signature worth reading - from memory you need FFC3 or X001
  3. go see a mechanic, will be the quickest and easiest way to work out whats wrong
  4. why you would make more changes - i got no idea, you should sort out what is wrong, or at least verify if something is wrong
  5. you cant tune the mines computer, all you can do is plonk it on the dyno and hope the afrs are OK and it runs ok, given you are changing AFMS and injectors, its unlikely it probably wont even idle - so unless you can find a shop to remap the mines ecu (try dr drift) your stuck with a probably unsafe tune / unstable or youll have to replace the ecu your better off changing injectors, AFM and ECU all at once and getting it tuned once for the most safest power you can make then use your brains to control the power or turn the boost down doing a complete tune on one level of PSI, then months later doing it again on another level of PSI is stupid or turning up the boost later and hoping for the best (ie, without retune) is also stupid
  6. check the basics base timing at idle, state of tune, AFRs, check it on a dyno etc could be a few hundred things wrong
  7. hi i normally hate people who dig up old threads, but this may save someone some $ and time mythbusters ahoy, "FC Pro" sticker on the PFC case does not mean it's a PowerFC Pro unit it means the unit can be tuned by apexi's power excel software - full details are added in the FAQ so if buying a "Pro" unit, please check it via ETC, VERSION before http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Fa...55#entry4598155
  8. updated corrected - What is the "Power FC Pro" and do I need it? updated - What does the PowerFC look like inside? added - What does the "FC Pro" sticker mean? Why is it there? Mythbusters ahoy! FC Pro sticker means sweet f**k all it does NOT mean its an FC Pro unit
  9. hello we are looking for an RB25/RB26 PowerFC but it must have a specific serial # the serial number must be in format 96XX, 97XX, 98XX, 99XX ie PFC RB25 9702-?????? like these ones.. (ignore the FC pro sticker) drop us a note if you have one for sale hand controller or no hand controller
  10. can you post up both serial #'s from the PFC's please - looking for a specific model #
  11. can you post up both serial #'s from the PFC's please - looking for a specific model #
  12. can you post up both serial #'s from the PFC's please - looking for a specific model #
  13. doh forgot clutch too, theres another $1k my stadnard one died around 180rwkw
  14. all im saying is, if you going to effort to build a turbo comparison chart - why include results that are either way out of scale, not the typical scenario or are mislead it would be like me doing one with T88 making 245kw cos the injectors max out and a GT30R making 295kw cos the fuel system could keep up is it a comparison? yes is it useful? no cos everyone knows a T88 makes 500kw+ it is useful if you include typical real world results on an optimum setup, not botched installs / lack of supporting mods etc imagine if Intel compared all their CPU speesd but for the Xeons they didn't add fans to the CPU so the clock rate was heaps lower on the graph hardly useful?
  15. again? whats the point of that? you can make 200rwkw on the std turbo and stock ecu but is it useful? of course not
  16. no what im saying, is, the figure for the GTRS is pointless no one in the right mind would expect a GTRS to cap at 190rwkw - regardless of mods and doing it with stock ecu is silly it just adds confusion and misleading information - it would be the same as including thizzles 300rwkw GTRS its not correct, its way outside the norm and its not the typical result a person would achieve the point of a comparison chart, like yours (which is a good idea) is to compare typical results one would achieve if you throw in a 190rwkw GTRS graph people may be get confused etc and we all know GTRS is average 250rwkw
  17. you might find the 3040 will peak near 290rwkw ish so its probably too much power for your requirements and budget as you climb the power band, the cost $ per killowatt expotentially increases ive had 200rwkw for about 5 years now and i have no issues with most cars on the street i think ive had probably 2 vl;s and 1 or 2 v8s beat me properly so you dont need 280rwkw to be quick on the street for example if you got a hiflow or 2nd hand stocker and spent some $ - maybe $2k on suspension youll make the quicker and handle heaps better
  18. the results are bogus, why would you even bother plotting at 190rwkw GTRS sure good work, but i would even bother with the whacko figures
  19. hi for that turbo you will need turbo manifold external wastegate exhaust dump pipe changes powerfc boost control kit (or elec boost controller) fuel pump (nismo or 040) injectors (550cc or GTR might be ok with resistor pack, 550cc is probably easier) z32 airflow meter budget around $11k supplied, installed and tuned, no problems with 270rwkw youll have problems with traction however the cheaper solution? but a 2nd hand R33 GTST turbo for $300 and be happy with 200rwkw
  20. updated - (first time in over a year) added; How can I translate/check my serial number - What does each part mean? USB Inline serial port debugger?
  21. not good glad to hear you werent involved tho!
  22. i got the password, but what username/host do i connect to? the old details dont work - check your email please
  23. hmm is THR same as TPS - logic says so, youll probably find the SLIP system expects the TPS signal from the ECU much like Active LSD does, the PFC wont know/expect this and wont relay the TPS signal to the other computer so it fails, well at least in my case, thats what was happening you are best finding another ER34 PFC user and ask what they did at install time i think Dan666 has used ER34 PFC - ask him
  24. i like how you say "only" if TPS isnt working, its a pretty crucial sensor did the car run OK with the std ecu in? ie did it have the engine check light on with the std ecu? i cant see why the PFC is pissed off, it cant read the TPS sensor, throttle body sensor no idea why its not working - the sensor is either shagged or the wiring is mangled or something else is wrong do you know of any other ER34 PFC users - do they have the same issue?
  25. please? i want to do some more work on the FAQ without the password i cant do anything and my data is held hostage on the server
