  1. i use castroil magnatec jsut changed from penrite hpr10 and very happy that i did...
  2. as the title says, i'm looking for the smll section of pipe that is elbow-shaped that bolts onto the compressor outlet of hte stock turbo cn anyone help me out? you can leave a message, or PM me... cheers, Warren PS i'm in brisbane
  3. they will all do the job... brake caliper cleaner and carby cleaner are pretty much the same thing from what i understand...
  4. do you have the elbow shaped bit of pipe that extends from the compressor outlet? willing to sell separately?
  5. cn i check if ive got the lines already from the bonnet or do things have to be removed?
  6. 92 model if thy needed custom lines.. is this an expensive jobbie? or can the workshoptake care of that too...?
  7. GTST - as always, great advice.. thanks so do you think its worth finding hte rb25 "elbow pipe" before i fit this, or just modifying the rb20 one? keeping in mind that i will be taing this to a workshop and saying "do what you need to make it fit" i'm thinkin of going to mercury motorsport so they know their skylines backwards and have probably done this uprade a few times... that way if they need to get gaskets they can organise all that jazz, and whatever needs to be modified is done by them and added onto the price
  8. do you think its worth running my old boost controller, or just leave it alone with the rb20 actuato.. if i run my old 12psi boost, i know i'll get loads more airflow and i don't want to damage anything
  9. i've got a 3" dump already from BATMBL..
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...topic=90242&hl= ok the above thread confirms it is an r33 series 2 turbo with the nylon compressor wheel , and i paid $410 for it unfortunately i am not able to do this myself, even though i can hold a spanner... what do you think as far as price for a workshop to do the install?
  11. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=109532 this is the turbo.. (pics there) it says 45v2 does that sound like one with the nylon compressor to you? can someone elaborate? its a little more $ than a standard rb25 one, but if its got the nylon wheel then i would pay it.. PS i did search and nothing concrete about what to use.. thanks gordon for the link!
  12. am thinking of purachsing an rb25 turbo from a series 2 R33 (apparently with the nylon compressor wheel)... EXACTLY what would i need to make this fit onto my rb20? eg oil/water lines? any other things? also, what markings would this turbo have on it to ensure i am getting a series 2 turbo and not getting ripped off? And.. when i get the turbo, should i get it checked out, or just get it bolted on? finally, how much would labour be you think? cheers, Warren
  13. get a custom exhaust and you can have whatever you want... see your local exhaust shop for a price mine was $550 cat-back including stainless muffler and exra large resonator and its extremely quiet
  14. for those others outside of the know-how, here is a terrible pic of the fuse box that i took with my PDA whilst holding a small torch. the consult plug sits attached to the top left corner of the fuse box (this is on an R32 GTSt)
  15. already have a cig lighter car charger ok i have a new issue seeing as i have a 92 r32, i just assumed i could find the consult plug however, coldn't find anything hanging under the dash. Where would it be if it wasn't hanging? I assume nissan wouldn't just hang the plug down. rather plug it in to something when its not being used.. does someone have a close-up of the plug? cheers, Warren (computer-illiterate idiot)
  16. can i confirm: "serial consult interface" = cable that goes from consult plug to rs232 plug EDIT: sorry you edited your post and answered the question!
  17. oh, btw, i can confirm for you that the software works fine on windows mobile 2003 SE
  18. ok so.. consult to serial cable from caz ($100) then null moden and seral sync cable? or just serial sync cable? (available from ebay i unerstand..) seriously man, think of it as if i know nothing and then try to explain it to me..!
  19. i've downloaded the software and i think i will try the setup using the cable from caz ($130) coupled to a "USB A female to mini USB male" adaptor (can be had for AUS$5 + postage on ebay) as its an O2 XDAII mini, the only cable input i have is mini USB at the bottom of the device (www.see02.com) if this doesn't work then i've no idea how to connect it! here's to hoping it works on my PDA, and i'll be one very happy man who will definately donate something to the author of the software cheers, Warren
  20. any of these cables still available at the group buy price? cheers, Warren.
  21. anyone that has working cables from the group buy link above that doesn't want them anymroe, PM me and you will have a customer...
