  1. there certainly is a lot of confusion as to what is premium the biggest source of confusion is dealerships who all advertise their car as premium and will convince any sucker that their car for sale is a premium model when in actual fact it might not be other think that "70th anniversary" models are premium when they are different altogether see my list in post #5: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3374691 that is adapted from the nissan website for a early model coupe if you don't have leather/suede, bose, dual climate, "auto" headlights, and steering wheel audio controls, then you don't have premium, or parts of your car have been changed to either option it up or down if you have a NAV/TV display, that is separate and a dealer option if you have 18" wheels, that is a separate dealer option max, do some research and you will find that the brembo brakes aren't an option, they are standard equipment for all manual series 1 coupe's. the only thing i have yet to confirm is whether people were able to buy the base model and option in premium things like leather seats, but i think its fair to assume if you have only one of the premium options (eg you have only leather seats ofthe above list) then your car is a base model with the seats swapped out not sure who Craig Moore is but if he sells cars remember to take everything he says with a grain of salt as he will tell you anything he likes to get you to buy the right car
  2. do you have the phone buttons on the steering wheel, or the standard audio buttons or both? from memory, bluetooth was only available on the series 2 cars..
  3. hi matt, a few things, first have you checked out the V35-specific section of the forum? there are a few that already have supercharger kits fitted and you will get more exposure to the V35 crowd there: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Se...lines-f170.html secondly, a lot of info can he had on the g35driver.com forums as fitting TT kits or supercharger kits is commonplace over there. some good info here: http://g35driver.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=24 and lastly, what other mods do you have on your car?
  4. great idea, hope it works. good luck! in the meantime spend a few hours searchign through old threads an read about different experiences people have had with the rb20 and you will learn so much
  5. you'd be crazy to not check out performance jap specialist in campbellfield
  6. that looks amazing on the 350z anniversary wheels! now the only problem is that you can now see more of the brake setup and you need some nice slotted rotors to show off also!
  7. i've brought this up a few times, eventaully in the ideas anf feedback section, and this was the final response: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Mo...on-t216770.html
  8. i'm not sure on merging the threads.. most threads are talking of going in different directions re the nav idea the option chris is offering is known to work but most still are thinking of alternative ideas to try, eg the thread by maximun007
  9. awesome, cheers mate! i'll be around about 8:30am on the 23rd unless i speak to you before then..
  10. do you mean re my PM about that box you ordered? if so, is next friday 23rd any good for you to put it in?
  11. not definately the problem, but it sounds like it could be and is a good place to start as its a part that notoriously fails on the older rb engines.. turbo timer is unlikely to have anything to do with it and its probably just a shit turbo timer some other things that may be the problem would be - auxillary air control valve (AAC valve) - idle air control valve (IAC valve) - crank angle sensor (or CAS) if you want to know moreabout these do a search of the forums archives there is HEAPS of info out there on this already your problem has been solved many times before and its painful to write it out all again start with the AFM and go from there, if you really don't know much about cars take it to a mechanic and ask them to check your AFM or source you a replacement one
  12. you have a problem with your air flow meter or AFM do a search for "+solder +AFM" and you will see how you can fix it yourself with a soldering irom and a bit of electrical/mechanical knowledge otherwise get your hands on a second-hand air flow metre which would set you back around $150 good luck Warren
  13. there are apartments called "skyline" in the city near the story bridge.. huge building too with a blue light at the top
  14. changing rego is easy you have to get the right form, its the same form as registering a new car but seeing as the rego is already in your name there is no fee to change over other than the cost of buying number plates you need a RWC and you need to take this with your form and your car to a QLD transport office then they will inspect your car to check that the engin and VIN numbers match with your form and you're done. you obviously have to pay QLD rego but you will get a refund of your remaining VIC rego CTP is a compulsory insurance that is normally included in the VIC rego already. in QLD they allocate you a CTP automatically but you can choose a different one if you like. this is separate from insurance which you still need to change over to your new plates with your insurance company best of luck! Warren (ex-victorian)
  15. i think its just attached by a few bolts, i remember havign to remove it when i changed the oil.. it should be attached to the flat aerodynamic piece that goes under the engine
  16. and when you get in the car, do you have to open up whatever program you want to run, like on a normal computer, or does it startup with the CD player as default?
  17. so what happens when you enter/exit the car.. do you have to start up / shut down windows on the laptop each time?
  18. thanks graeme, yeah R33's V35's and soarers suffered this due to plastic headlights. in fact, more and more manufacturers are going plastic. the glass lights in my R32 were perfect, but a little bit of weight everywhere adds up over a whole car!
  19. glad to help and given its a large bottle it should give quite a few applications my only concern when i do mine is that when they are polished they will simply oxidise again in a few months time i was contemplating going over them with a layer of car wax of some kind to keep them UV protected but i'm not sure how that would go on plastic..
  20. 2 words: meguiars plastX i have a bottle sitting in my garage that i just bought, but am yet to use but from all reports on the G35 forums the stuff is golden in getting rid of the oxidation on our headlights its hard to find and i could not get it at usual meguiars stockists like repco or supercheap. you might be able to get them to orer it in if you like. i just went with eBay and bought a bottle from an online store: http://cgi.ebay.com.au/MEGUIARS-MEGUIARS-C...1QQcmdZViewItem hope that helps and saves you buying new headlights! just so you know, plastic is a bitch to find a product that will polish it. there aren't many around at all.. cheers, Warren
  21. nice work! i pulled 106rwkw on my first dyno, fairly stock rb20 auto 2 years later i pulled 170rwkw, still with the auto and only a few more mods! its good to get a "standard" dyno figure, as it feels better to be able to see exactly what your mods have done to the car..
  22. 350z gearbox is going to be the cheapest option.. be it an auto or a manual from said car
  23. PM sent..
  24. also, its not a GTR
