R32 Rb20 Revs Take Ages To Drop
WazR32GTSt replied to Hibino's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
check the location ofthe TPS its a small grey box on the side of the throttle body start the car, then get an 8mm ratchet and loosen the 2 bolts that hold the TPS in its position. move it left to right. you wil hear a click and hear the revs drop when it gets to its right position. from memory, it should be held in place just after it clicks and the revs drop. tighten it up after that. then adjust the idle back to normal in the normal way (find the AAC valve, disconnect the maroon plug, and turn the screw. reconnect maroon plug when done) this should fix your problem -
Tiptronic: Diy Change Of Direction
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
ok i have just re-done this thread and edited the first post this is an amazing mod i recommend EVERYONE with a 5sp auto to go and do it right now! -
cool, i wasn't sure why you left them anyway. do you need them soon or whenever? i still have to copy those top gear DVDs for you i can pass them along at the same time if you like
-
chris, do you want the spare audio (left hand side of steering wheel) buttons you left in my car? i obviously have no use for them!
-
lambo definately threw the race at the end and goign wide when they show him braking with his left foot then both feet?? not a convincing win, but it had the fastest lap time which was nice also, the lack of power on the straights was a bit concerning..
-
got the one i had from UTR (ultimate tuning revolution or something like that) from the USA they sell from their website and from eBay it didn't fit the coupe bootlid very well though..
-
are you thinking in terms of getting cars on sale by 18 months from first production? if this is the case, not necessarily.. they could easily bring a few cars in on time just to shut down low-volume grey importing ..but it will probably impact the volume of aussie releases as we seem to be very low on the japanese priority list, and as shit flows downhill we will certainly be left browned
-
damn, oh well, thanks anyway for testing it out mate!
-
of course its manual, its a DSG which means its a manual gearbox, no torque converter present. clearly you aren't switched on enough to have read through the R35 section already, do you need me to rephrase that for you? there has been millions of threads on the gearbox already..
-
no GTRs are auto.. DSG is not an auto
-
that's a V36.. not a V35

my old horns can be had for $20 + delivery to anyone that wants them
-
ok horns are installed.. First, the install procedure.. took me 10mins max picture 1: tools required - 10mm ratchet, flat-head screwdriver picture 2: remove 6 plastic screw thingos that hold the front grill in place. to remove, simply lift the centre part up with the screwdriver and then the outer part comes out picture 3: once all 6 are removed, the grill can be held forward to give you a little more room. the grill does not need to come off picture 4: locate the horns (right in front of you) picture 5: to remove them, use the 10mm ratchet. its one bolt for each horn now, take your new shiny sport horns and swap the connectors over between the horns. there's one plug in the centre and one on the outside picture 6: install the new horns by bolting them back into the stock location using the 10mm bolt you removed previously. the horns point down in the stock position so make sure you put them in the correct order picture 7: enjoy the bling of the new horns! so how does it sound? to be honest, not hugely different at first, but 2 things that i noticed were different first, it is much louder than before second, its more high-pitched than before i have attached a before and after sound file for your information. this was recorded in the drivers seat with the drivers-side window down. taken out on the street so as not to deafen myself in my garage! its hard to really appreciate the difference with the sound clip, but the new hown has lost the dullness of the old horn. the stock one, while low-pitched, seemed flat and a bit girlie. the new one, although higher pitched, is louder and more in your face. enjoy! cheers, Warren V35_stock_horn.WAV V35_sport_horn.WAV

i do a lot of driving and will continue to in the future changing work locations frequently with the work i'm in the concept of a proper spare is an appealing one for me. i care not for the added weight (maybe 5kg?)
-
an R33 wheel would be fine, the overall diameter is goign to be roughly the same as the spare i was thinking more on the lines of width.. can you maybe throw it in the spare tyre location and see if the carpet goes over it like stock? or if it bulges? that would be awesome!
-
i have been thinking (yes it hurts).. i really hate the idea of a space-saver spare, especially on a car like the V35 i was wondering if anyone has tried a different rim to see if it fits into the spare tyre location? eg a R32 rim? i'm sure something like a R32 rim could fit our car, so if it could be fitted into the boot withoug fuss we could have a full-sized spare for nix has anyone got one lying around at home they could try to see if it fits? cheers, Warren
-
hmmm i might be able to, i could use my phone or camera, but not sure how good the quality would be..
-
yeah the OEM horms suck majorly.. air horns.. well that's a teeny bit extreme for my liking.. i don't want to give old granny's a heart attack when i press it, just scare them enough to soil themselves!
-
look what arrived they're the optional "sport horns" that are supposedly both louder and meaner sounding than stock! i know they say "Z" but they are for any VQ35-equipped car ..as any V35 owner would have found out by now almost anything is better than the stock horn! i got these from eGay from a place in the USA. shipping took about 1-2 weeks not bad at all i will install them tomorrow (if i can get home early enough). i'm thinking of running them in series with the stock horns for twice the horniness but not sure on that just as yet.. might see how they sound first. anyone else run 2 sets of horns before? cheers, Warren EDIT: see post #8 for the install process and a sound file comparing old to new (.wav file, uses media player)

i had them in my R32 fit was great, quality was great i highly recommend them..

V-series For Sale Section?
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
well funkymonkey in the other thread said he was happy to impliment the forum and said he would be doing it, but it never happened i agree on the moderating thing, but if its the same person who moderates this section then there shouldn't be any issues. it wouldn't have a huge number of things for sale anyway.. -
For Sale White V35 Coupe 2003, Prem, 33k, Neg.
WazR32GTSt replied to gt-v35's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
man that's crazy cheap considering its white and had a lot of options.. will sell quickly at that price best of luck with the sale -
What happened to the V-series for sale section that funkymonkey promised us? i tried sending him a PM with no response, so hopefully he will respond to this.. it is a great idea as parts from cars like V35, M35, Z33, etc are not compatible with the R32/33/34 cars and it would be much easier to have a separate section to be able to sell items rather than having to go through 500 threads from the for sale section to be lucky to find 1 with parts that fit your car the other alternative is to let us have free reign with selling within the V35 section feel free to discuss everyone! cheers, Warren
