  1. nice! pics? yeah fair enough question then.. you'd be silly not to take the free airbox and at least see if it fits. its going to flow at least as good as the R33 box if it fits good luck with it
  2. what have you planned, GTST? i don't think you'll be able to change an airbox (from OEM to OEM) and gain 10rwkw if that's what you're thinking did you end up finding an R33?
  3. thanks for the link its funny because the folks at the ls1 forum are more open minded than we are (as a whole)
  4. i think you need to take the bumper off in order to actualyl take the headlight out.. or you can jsut loosen the bumper so that it comes forward enough to get the the required bolts. that way you wont have to separate the bumper from the aerodynamic lining under the engine
  5. ...so many R35 haters out there.. where's the love?
  6. if you take the front wheel off and jackthe car up its only about 4 or 5 bolts to remove the wheel guard lining thingo that exposes the whole back of the headlight assembly i just changed my parker lights / city lights from stock yellow rubbish to white LEDs to match my xenons i should post some pics..
  7. what kind of driving do you do? i do 95% city driving at the moment giving it a fair workout around my area and get 400-500 as a usual tank take it out on the highway and watch that open up to >700 in a tank
  8. yeah if you're buying from a dealer use one of the few advantages that they give - get them to do all the paperwork for you! when i bought my V35 from a dealer i negotiated a price (including rego and stamp duty) they paid all that stuff and i siply picked up the car! they have plates already at the dealer and give you a temporary rego sticker while vicroads will send out the real one once the paperwork has gone through
  9. what size are the wheels? and the tyres?
  10. awesome... simply awesome!
  11. that stuff is too unique to try to sell off.. no one is going to like your image as much as you do i personally think it would be a waste of money.. you're better off painting it black and selling it to some ricer..
  12. can't remember exactly, i think just shy of 5L
  13. the good thing is that the V35 and Z33 offer a great range of bolt-on wheel options for us without us having to go aftermarket unless you really want to... even the standard 17s aren't bad, just that our guards are huge thus making everything look small! my favourite 350z wheel is the 25th anniversary wheel, its chrome 5-spoke 18" and looks great. a lot of 350z's have them as standard now they are a great looking rim. i'm after the 19s for size and the look! i'll let you know how i go with vspec2 as if i get his 19s then you will be the first person i contact with my 18s! mine also have a bit of gutter rash on the front L&R sides, they were like that when i bought them from spikey (another SAU member with a V35 coupe). but the tyres are in great condition and yokohamas's too! the standard 18s look quite good on the sedan as the offset on them makes them sit out more on the sedan than on the coupe (i think). there are a few pics of sedans with 18s on them on g35driver.com
  14. Ben, what car are you talking about? (you have R32 GTS4 in your profile) when i changed the oil on my V35 coupe, i just put in about 3L, gave it a few minutes to settle then checked it. i did this adding about 500mL at a time from there until it read full then i started the car, let it run for about 5 minutes, then shut it off and let is stand for 10 minutes then i read the oil level again and topped it up a little (as oil fills the filter etc after it has been run for the first time) i then checked the oil level about a week later to make sure it was full and it sure was! as for reading the dipstick, remember to pull it out, wipe it clean, then insert it fully and take it out again. always read the second time after you have wiped the dipstick. you should easily be able to see the oil level that way
  15. if i find some 19s, you can buy my old wheels from me if you like they are the stock V35 7-spoke shadow chrome 18's with 80% yokohama V550's on them (i replaced 2 tyres at $500 each!) thanks for the info on vspec2 i will PM him. do you have any more info on those ones he is selling? i found another guy in ACT selling a set (username: paragon) but he has painted them and wants a bit too much $$ for them..
  16. i'll take a picture of my plug and see if its the same for you...
  17. hmmm really not too sure on this one there's no light sensor on the front so might not have a dimmer built in, but why else would it have the wiring loom? also, it connects to the window differently than my stock one did try shining a torch into the mirror when the car is in your garage and see if it dims
  18. ..you could buy a new one, or for the price of NOTHING you could fix your old one, using a soldering iron and a knife...
  19. in the boot under the passenger side plastic cover take the carpet off to expose the spare in the middle, the jacking equipment on the right, and a plastic cover on the left undo the bolts that hold the left plastic cover in place and hey presto - you have a tv tuner!
  20. hi Jon, can you put up a pic of your mirror? if there's a lug already going into it then it already has some sort of function built into it.. thestock one has no wires going into it, i had to splice into the back of the cigarette lighter to get power for mine
  21. welcome mate! check out the V35 section: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Se...lines-f170.html read all the old posts they have heaps of information about the V35 it might answer all your questions! also, solutions are available for - stock nav to a different unit (still using stock screen) - engligh translation for buttons (see here: http://search.ebay.com.au/_W0QQsassZdrose3655 , or there is a more expensive solution repalcing the buttons with US buttons)
  22. awesome.. PM sent.. i won't clog your thread up with more about that
  23. cool.. i'll be in touch later this week to sort out a time for the following week (i have the whole week from 17/3 to 20/3 off) you can have the car for a few days if you need to sort out whatever you want + the last of the stuff i want (assuming you have it all sorted by then!)
  24. so you want a stock car? well you know you can have mine after this friday (end of exams for this rotation) is that soon enough?
  25. I'm looking to find a set of OEM nissan optional 19" 5-spoke wheels from a V35 350GT coupe they look like the image attached i know how much they are worth, and i am keen to find a set locally rather than having to go through yahoo autions or get some from the USA (i would rather avoid shipping from overseas if i could!) alternatively, if anyone knows where a set is please let me know (ie they know that an importer has a set or something) thanks in advance Warren.
