  1. well i haven't spoken to the dealership since i got the car about 9 months ago now.. they are import auto centre, ph (07) 3208 9992 feel free to call them and ask about FM band expanders and what one they would use if you like
  2. not me, all stations work perfect but mine was installed by the dealer i bought the car from before i picked it up so i have no idea what they used...
  3. the turbo is rated according to SAU users at running no more than 12psi on an rb25 now remember that at 6000rpm on a 2.5L motor there will be more exhaust gas going through the turbine that at 6000rpm on a 2.0L motor. this means that the exhaust gas temp will be higher on the rb25 than on the rb20 this means that the same turbo on a smaller motor can easily handle 2psi or more because the same turbo at 14psi on a 2L motor is doing about the same work as 12psi on a 2.5L motor i ran an rb25 turbo on my rb20 for about 1.5years at 14psi and the turbo ran happily all day every day with me driving it like i stole it!
  4. what actuator did you use? is the wastegate fully closed when the car is at idle?
  5. you can give it a great bit of performance with a TT or S/C kit, make no mistake (have a good read of g35driver.com - there is a whole forced induction section) but the VR38DETT in the GTR is a completely diferent engine, with many parts that are unique and make it as good as it is. plus the car is a whole different beast - AWD, bilstein suspension, etc etc you can never make a GTR out of a V35 but if you have realistic expectations, you can make one very fast and awesome looking V35 that is good in its own right!
  6. the biggest depictors in price seem to be - year made (ie the 2004 and 2005 version asking for more) - kms - gearbox: MT more, AT less as more common - trim options: leather, premium, sunroof, bose, etc etc asking for a lot more - colour (ie the carribean blue asking less, obsidian black asking more)
  7. stupidest thread ever if you can afford an rb25 then don't try to do it illegally, pay the extra few hundred to do it right and get the engineer's certificate like you have to
  8. those sketches look almost maserati-ish i like the idea, but then again, i can see many flaws in in and would be very surprised if it took off
  9. DIY? i changed mine myself.. all i needed was the service manual: http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=107032
  10. did you get the option where the rear left seat can fold almost flat?
  11. that car is porn! i'm a fan of the cima, and an even bigger fan of the fuga
  12. yay! riverside can go fist themselves after how tony is treating us...
  13. the yellow screen then turning image off is when the car is not running it will do it always, even if the screen is up with nothing running (ie showing the nissan logo)
  14. all CVT-equipped cars have paddle shift as well as the normal tiptronic shift on the shifter that is, if you want to switch it out of the regular automatic mode
  15. you can get special plastic polish from palces like autobarn or repco (made for plastic headlights mostly)
  16. you could hook up a garmin GVN52 to it and have an awesome GPS setup on that thing...
  17. steer very clear.. remember that when you go to sell in a few years time it the potential buyers have access to this same information and you will have a tough time selling it
  18. the thing is, after checking out almost every V35 for sale in QLD when i was looking a while back, i realised that the cliche of used car salesman being tools was in fact true. the service and sales at import auto centre wasn't fantastic but compared to others in the industry they are probably ahead of the majority and when things are all done they were quite nice. it was very hard to get a hold of mark however after i had made the purchase and wanting to ask a few q's about the car, but overall a good experience and i would go back again.
  19. i bought my V35 from import auto centre on the southside http://www.importautocentre.com.au/ their advertised prices aren't cheap but i bargained down a fair way right before the end of financial year and got a good deal the car was of excellent quality and came with nearly all the options available have you checked out the V35 specific section of the forums?
  20. ouch... SEI motors...
  21. well where is jason then? we need him! this tony guy is pissing me off and hasn't emailed me for nearly a week..
  22. keep in mind the stock bose setup runs nissan head unit bose amp 2 rear parcel shelf bose speakers 6*9" 2 rear seat bose speakers 2 front door bose speakers 6.5" 2 front door tweaters the sedan also has a sub i think doesn't it? not bad for a stock system, certainly would cost a fair bit to put together this kind of quality off the shelf of an audio store. the only way you'd get better imo is adding top quality items and unless you are into audio massivley you probably wouldn't notice the difference
  23. to my knowledge they are of use in 2 situations 1) in a race car that generates sustained high-rpm conditions 2) in a worn engine with blow-by in a new car with less than 50,000kms, a catch can is nothing but a waste of money and space, and can create a headache for no reason if you install it wrong so.. does your car fit into any of the above categories? if yes, then go buy your snake oil if not, then save your money for useful mods like a GPS
  24. yes, that's why i posted that link! read this one then: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3571673
