  1. rob, all japanese domestic cars are electroniocally limited to 180 but you're right it will probably reach well over 200kph if tested in a safe environment (ie off the streets)
  2. all colours canbe catered for although only black currently.. its a minimum of 10 sets for each colour we need at this stage it looks like we will have to wait a few more weeks for some final testing so that we can be sure the colour and finish is right i will post up the final pictures with prices then. hang on guys won't be long now!
  3. oh, i see.. thanks shan, will consider it the thing is that i don't want to be the person responsible for the distribution mainly because i won't be around for the next 4 weeks i think it will work well with just having them for sale on eBay.. i might even put a link to the eBay page on my signature at least then it has exposure to other aussie V35 owners and V35 import owners in the UK that are not members of SAU hopefully there is some interest from here other than myself and damien as others seemed interested before!
  4. thanks shan i know he can't sell them on here, which is why i have asked him to put them on eBay essentially this thread is a "look what i found on eBay for our car" thread, not a for sale thread.. EDIT: beat me to it damien!
  5. stickers are ready! i have attached a pic of the produced stickers as sent to me form Dave (the guy who had them made for us). i have not been able to do a second test of the stickers as i am going away on holidays next week and won't get them in time to do a test. but.. the guy has 10 sets and it looks like he will put them up on eBay when he can. i will post a link to the eBay page when its up. they look good in the photos and he has changed the finish to matte and the colour to match our buttons
  6. do those buttons also control the radio like the standard buttons when the phone setup is not in use? or are they only for the phone?
  7. jsut an update.. the stickers are being made and are talking a little longer than expected for manufacturing reasons. hang in there.. they will 100% be coming its just a matter of getting them done right first!
  8. email jason from riverside infiniti in the USA.. he wil be able to answer any questions for you about the compatibility and will be able to sell and ship any genuiune nissan part to you jmendelson (at) riversideinfiniti.com
  9. 53XYN - is that the "R" badge from the audi RS4 / RS6 / RS8? never seen that form of rice before - european rice anyone?
  10. an even simpler way is to unbolt it, turn it upside down, and bolt it donw again that way, the heatsink faces up and allows the heat to dissipate, yet you use no new parts and it mounts in the stock location
  11. tomtom has a very nice user interface, mush nicer to look at and use in my opinion but don't forger the garmin models - some have software that actually says street names out to you - this is pretty rare in the GPS market and well worth it imo (i have tomtom on my PDA and i'm about to get a hardwired garmin unit in my V35)
  12. they don't seem to have as much brushed metal in the cabin on the 300GT from what i have seen. also, most that i have seen are cloth interiors. there's no reason you can't find one with all the options, its just going to be harder also, i have not heard of the VQ30DD being in any locally delivered cars, it might have been a japan-only engine maybe? at the end of the day, it still looks awesome, handles awesome, and is super comfy inside.. if you find one you like then go for it!
  13. glad to hear you found something mate hope it works.. best of luck!!
  14. sorry my bad the 250gt must be the only 4sp auto..
  15. all i know is what i have read on this forum and from magazines, but it all points towards that style of manifold doing NOTHING except making you LOSE low down torque. waste of money imo.
  16. where is the light mounted? pics please
  17. haha this is funny shit honestly, i know what you read, but think about it logically.. why would nissan make a car with so much R&D in it but make the engine expire in 100,000kms? logic is a great thing sometimes. (what i'm trying to say is its all a load of shite)
  18. this is exactly what nissan wants to do with their image do they want to be known as the manufacturer who has a pile of shitboxes running around the world with tin cans strapped to their exhaust manifold? nissan does not want the owners of R32/R33/R34's to own an R35. they want someone who has a 911 / M3 to sell up and buy the GTR. with the new GTR they are trying to make the nissan version of the 911 turbo, their flagship car. they want you to desire their flagship car and buy a lower model - that's how all manufacturers work. how many people want an M3 but buy a 318/320/330? 99% of BMW buyers. that means the GTR will have EXCLUSIVITY subsequently, they are going to cost more, hold their value better, and provide the manufacturer and the driver with a certain image half of the point of owning a high end car is having something that others desire and respect (obviously the other point is having something that is an absolute BEAST that drives and looks like nothing else..)
  19. anything that is bigger than the stock turbo on the rb20 is going to pose a response issue. its just a matter of how much lag you can live with.. after all regardless of what turbo you put on it, its still an rb20.. which means a small stroke and gutless at low rpm i'm not the best to give advice on turbo setup, other than i had an rb25 turbo and response was essentially unchanged over the rb20 its only a very small upgrade in the scheme of things. a 2510 would be awesome i would have though, but $$. 2530 is supposed to be great but again even this is going to give lag, it all comes down to what you're used to and whether or not you can stand the lag issue if you want response, consider an exhaust cam gear instead of an aftermarket inlet manifold (which you mentioned) which will probably do absolutely nothing..
  20. ps testing out the ABS is a great idea, you need to know how it works.. but from 100kph? that's a big test! you should be able to engage it by slamming on the brakes from 60kph-ish i would have thought
  21. the common oil pressure sender fault usually manifests as a problem with the pressure reading, but i have never heard of the oil light coming on with an oil pressure sender issue... i would be keeping a real close eye on it if you ever see the light again, shut the engine off immediately but if it were me i would be considering getting an expert opinion, because if its the oil pump that is dying and you don't fix it, you could be up for a new engine..
  22. $14 pedders 28-point steering and suspension safety check that's not a lot of money and a lot of information that they can give you, plus it only takes an hr
  23. if it's got cruise then its aftermarket.. only factory cruise was the active cruise and i think it was only on sedans. there's a big IR sender/reciever on the front grill on those (see attached picture) EDIT: not sure who's car that is - sorry if its yours i'll happily remove it
  24. just to update everyone.. went good on my exam had a patient with a "borderline personality disorder" that i had to interview andmake a management plan.. not the easiest thing in the world went good with the boot --> spoiler removed, no damage to boot or spoiler! spoiler now for sale, and potentially already sold to Unique!
