well how often do you need to replace stuff like windscreens, etc. remember we have a relatively new import, its rare and as such wrecked cars are rare. i know of a place in NSW that has a wrecked 300GT sedan if you are desperate but if you have insurance then don't worry - in an accident you just pay the excess the cheapest way to get parts is from the USA. have a look at www.g35driver.com or parts places such as www.everythingg35.com shipping is cheap for most stuff like headlights etc

sitting inside an R34 is nothing on sitting inside a V35. completely different class of car. one is a sports car, one is a luxury sports car. they are both equally slow and equally handle quite well although i am biassed as i own a V35, but hey i owned a R32 and sat in about 500 R33's and R34's in my time on SAU and while looking for cars

having driven a V35 sedan i would say the V35 every day of the week..

hi jaxxon, have a read of this thread and as many threads as you can in the V35 section of the forums.. there are heaps of options available on our cars. its a good idea that you want the premium pack, which is essentially the bose stereo, auto-off headlights, dual climate control, and buttons on steering wheel. try for leather as well if you can as the cloth seats aren't great. the number of kms on the car also varies a bit from 5,000kms to 50,000kms depending on where it was owned in japan and if its been used in australia before. for price ranges, it varies a lot between states. for example, WA and VIC are expensive, while in NSW and QLD V35's are much cheaper. i would say for an 03 don't pay more than 38k private or 40k dealer, but that's assuming you get as many options as you can on the car and not the base model. for an 04 expect to pay 5 thousand more and an 05 even more again! also, if you want black or red you might have to pay more, while for silver or white its again cheaper as there are more around. let us know when you buy something!

Retro Fit Flat Flexi Wiper Blades
WazR32GTSt replied to cookie--monster's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
in a massive bump for a 4 month old thread, i would just like to add that i changed my wiper blades yesterday after ahving shit blades for the last few weeks in the stupid brisbane rain.. i was at supercheap and i looked at regular replacements.. then i came across the bosch "aerotwin" range so i went home and did my research - turns out bosch are the original manufacturer or these blades and they seemed to be great.. they are OEM for mercedes, audi, etc. so i bought some plus, they were on sale at supercheap for $21ish each i bough the 600mm one for the drivers side, and 450mm for the passenger side (they were closest to the rough measurements i did with a tapemeasure). they fit perfectly (and don't alter the stock wiper jets as someone above mentioned). and the best part? they work great! as in, better than anything else i've ever used before! i can highly recommend them -

Why Do People Remove The Rear Spoilers Of Gtr's?
WazR32GTSt replied to menace's topic in General Automotive Discussion
if you want to save weight then i assume that you also run a gutted boot and no rear seats. also, whats the point of a rear bumper when you're at the strip? or that passneger seat? give me a break, the "saving weight" argument is flawed.. -

Why Do People Remove The Rear Spoilers Of Gtr's?
WazR32GTSt replied to menace's topic in General Automotive Discussion
totally agree with the person who started this thread sometimes being different or unique isn't the best thing. emo's are different, but they sure as hell aren't a good thing! in my eyes, removing the GTR spoiler is like taking the icing off a chocolate cake. the underneath is good, but withut the icing its just not the same thing. -
350Z brembo rotors and calipers could set you back over 2k for less than $500 i just installed slotted rotors which are a nice upgrade. have a look at my thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ch...de-t184642.html

New Motor Mag. 422kw Maloo. Wtf
WazR32GTSt replied to R33GOD's topic in General Automotive Discussion
its not a holden or HSV release, its just a regular maloo (62k) that someone has taken to Walkinshaw and had highly modified. its no different to any one of us taking our car to a performance workshop and getting a bigger turbo put on. for 36k worth of mods (yes, that's how much the guy paid!) i would rather buy myself a second car or put a deposit on a house than have a p.o.s. car that still looks and handles like arse. -
yeah good point..

Priming Oil Coolers When Changing Oil.
WazR32GTSt replied to Shaun's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
some taxi's do - but i was getting at the lack of cold start conditions as their key to long engine life from what my mate told me (he did a fair bit of research), a lot of truck/logistic companies use them as standard on their trucks on his 300zx, when he turns on to accessories he sees oil pressure. that's before he turns to start the engine. it doesn't get much better than that. if i were to do any kind of rebuild i would definately consider this, especially if my engine is worth more than my car (as in your case) -
Priming Oil Coolers When Changing Oil.
WazR32GTSt replied to Shaun's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah but when you consider that most engine wear is during cold starts its cheap insurance for a 20k engine (that's how taxi's run for 900,000kms on a ford engine) -
i love suprechargers, they are a great upgrade on an NA engine.. hell i would love to put one on my V35. a guy on WA had one on his V35 before he sold it.. but for an engine that already comes out turbocharged, like the rb, it just seems silly to bother going with the R&D of a supercharger when you can just bolt up a different turbo if you're not happy with power. that alone is reason enough not to bother in my eyes

Priming Oil Coolers When Changing Oil.
WazR32GTSt replied to Shaun's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
what about using something like a prelube system for future oil changes? i have a friend with a 300zx that uses one: http://www.aus300zx.com/forum/showthread.php?t=251548 -
yeah i think standard Z springs might be a good option mate
-
yeah but why order when you don't have to? i htink chriswas saying that it can be wired in with knowledge rather than having to fork out for an expensive pre-made harness..
-
i remember chris rogers saying something about being able to use the bose amp with an aftermarket headunit.. he was showing me the amp when he was pulling my car apart.. maybe try sending him a PM or better yet calling him
