  1. apparently it sets in 4hrs to a good strength and fully sets in 14days i'm going to take it in tomorrow so its as early as possible to make it as easy to get off as possible.. expensive lesson learnt for me - i think i'll leave the car as stock as i can for now..
  2. yeah i'm putting my exam first, just stressed that's all.. i'm considering just getting it removed tomorrow, i might just go back to the no spoiler look.. and sell the stupid lip spoiler or something i'm a bit impulsive at times..
  3. common cause of stalling is an intake leak like an aftermarket blow-off valve or a loost intercooler clamp common cause of cutting out when the engine is warm in the AFM find out whether your car stalls or cuts out. if it cuts out, swap the AFM i guarantee you its the problem
  4. i have a serious exam tomorrow for uni and i'm furious about the stupid spoiler.. hope i can get it out of my head before the morning i'm going there straight after my exam and getting them to re-do it. if the urethane doesnt come off without scratching the paint i'm going to get them to re-paint the whole boot and they can pay for it man its just been eating at me all night since i got home.. another pic of how its supposed to look is below. if you compare it to mine you can see how its supposed to flow and how mine is way off.. its partially my fault. they said they can't mount it flush with the rear as it doesn't sit right, and i said fine. i didn't think they would mount it half way up the boot though..
  5. here are some pics from others that have installed it.. you can see what i mean by them mounting it more forward.. the red car is the one from their official unlimitedtuning website.. does anyone think that it looks ok where it is now, or am i right in feeling a bit dissappointed?
  6. after initally wanting the stock spoiler when i was looking for my V35, i deceded quickly that i didn't like it at all. so i went for the no spoiler look. a while back i finally decided i wanted a rear lip spoiler, and after searching on g35driver.com i found the one i was after its from Unlimited Tuning, their G2 lip spoiler.. ordered in from the USA well after recieving it a week back i finally had it painted and fitted today.. my first impression when i picked the car up was the mounting position. from the pictures i saw from g35driver, it is supposed to be mounted about an inch rearward than it is. i asked the painter and he said that this position is where it fit best over the bootlid and any further back and the front of the spoiler lifts up a little.. the colour is a great match and the finish of the painting is awesome upclose to be honest i'm happy that the spoiler looks as i wanted it, but i'm a bit dissapointed with the mounting position and to make things worst they used some kind of glue to mount it, the same thing they use to mount windscreens in place, so its not as easy as peeling it off and re-mounting it. i'm not sure of if or how they can remove it i'm going to take it back tomorrow to get them to move it rearward however they can, i'm really quite dissapointed well thought i would vent a bit and get some opinions while i'm at it and see if anyone has experience with this glue they talk of cheers, Warren
  7. nice, i'll try it tonight how do you get out of diagnostics mode?
  8. where is your workshop located?
  9. sorry there isn't that much for sale in vic at the moment, but this one looks tops as its 70th anniversary with stone interior, heated seats, premium pack, plus it has a sunroof (quite a rare option) http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/deale...amp;Make=NISSAN i would be definately having a closer look at that one i'm actually jealous of its full leather interior and sunroof! i wouldn't worry about the 2005 updated interior its purely cosmetic. there are hardly any of them and they fetch a high price without any other options. its all about kms and condition..
  10. here's some ok ones in QLD: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/priva...amp;sort_type=2 http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/deale...amp;Make=NISSAN http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/deale...amp;Make=NISSAN here's some ok ones in NSW: http://www.carsales.com.au/used-cars/deale...amp;Make=NISSAN just a quick carsales search for you.. most are white, some are silver, hardly any are blue / black / red
  11. the only blue offered in coupe's wasthe carribean blue (light blue) is that the blue you're after? there are heaps that match your description for sale, post links to any that you are looking at i'm happy to go over it in regards to options it has and value for money if you like cheers, Warren EDIT: what state are you in?
  12. read these threads and then post up more Q's if you have any: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Newbies-t191705.html http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Ho...33-t187067.html http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...ar-t193549.html http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/V3...re-t186599.html
  13. hey mate remember that what you read on the forums is the problems or issues that people need help with i don't get home in an evening and post a story about how i really enjoyed driving my car today and how i think its the best value-for-money car around. that's because its my opinion and doesn't require its own thread. it is however, a very reliable car that is well worth >$50k now your Q's 1) V35's don't have cruise control unfortunately except the rare few sedans with active cruise conrol (don't worry about them) 2) first coupe's in 2003, updated in 2005, mostly interior design the rest is the same 3) you would be silly to get anything but leather (or the leather/suede combo if in black) 4) the "black" interior is multi-shades of grey and black. the "stone" interior is all light grey, and the "willow" interior is all cream 5) 70th anniversary only means that they are full leahter rather than half leather/suede. this is only for the stone nad willow coloured interiors 6) yes that's the very rare reversing camera - a bonus if you find one 7) yes that's about right 8) there are HEAPS for sale in NSW and QLD tell us more about what you're looking for and we can help more. as in auto/manual, what options, what colour, modified/stock, nav screen, etc. have a read of ALL the threads in this section, it will answer most of all ofyour questions. this forum has HEAPS of info in it for you good luck! Warren.
  14. financially they're a loss but that's not why we mod cars is it.. we mod it for the enjoyment that it brings to driving the car.. and that makes them worth every cent!
  15. i recently sold my auto R32GTST for just under 12k --> http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/19...ml#entry3334761 i bought it for 12k about 4.5 years earlier i advertised it on carsales and it sold 4 days later and i was contacted by 6 people within that time. i suppose i could have asked even more if i wanted as it sold so quickly but i wanted it to go asap yes i spent a LOT of money on it but at the end of the day that money was well spent because i enjoyed almost every minute in it plus that money i put into it gave me some better resale value the issue i think is really: what do mods do for resale value? 99% of people think that $3k worth of wheels on a car makes it worth $3k more than its market price. its just stupid. many cars will never sell because the owners are dreaming. they end up having to "de-mod" it to make it sell. it is strange that the price of R32s has held where it is. i think they might have almost reached their baseline value. the equivalent year ford/holden might be worth 4k, s13 worth 8k and r32 worth around 10k i have to agree with GTST on this one its kind of weird that R32's have been so expensive. part is dreaming, part must be in their image and that they are approaching their baseline value
  16. have you seen the stock 19" sport wheels? they are 5-spoke they are rays wheels and an option from nissan from the factory, plus they look AWESOME and are a factory part they are also quite cheap in the USA (check on eBay.com) if you can afford the shipping
  17. you probably won[t gain any top end but it will bring boost on sooner and shift your power curve left this means power is available earlier across the whole rev range ...very worth it on the rb20 which we all know lacks balls below 3000rpm haven changed cam gears on my rb20 with rb25 turbo (i made a thread about it - do a search), i say go for it!
  18. yeah shan.. the big question is when will the V36 be coming here? i'll be selling my V35 the day the V36 becomes available...
  19. its great for them - saves on manufacturing of parts its great for us - makes for relatively cheap upgrades if you don't have the top of hte line model.. baron25 - you sound quite ciritcal of one of hte oldest tricks in the book.. i notice you have an R33GTS25, just remember that without the R33GTS25t and GTR there wouldn't be exhaust upgrades, brake upgrades, bumper upgrades, spoiler upgrades etc that are bolt on from the upper spec models. personally i love that my V35 looks very similar to the Z33 350z and upcoming R35 GTR
  20. hi mate have a chat to "spikey" he seems to go through wheels quite often and might be able to help you cheers, Warren
  21. hmm ok so you definately don't have leather atm.. that's a big loss sunroof is a big gain, but only if you're short and can tolerate the loss of headroom again, the series 2 blue/silver colour isn't the greatest and black is rare i candefinately see the advantages of the one you're looking at, its really up to you i think but remember even 1 track day can destroy a motor its up to luck really. driving flat-out for >20mins non-stop is never going to be good for an engine/gearbox
  22. i wouldn't do it but its up to you personally i love gadgets/options on a car and couldn't live without hte sat nav screen etc but you don't have leather now? that is a must.. personally i think it you're going to track a car then a V35 is a bit of a waste of a perfectly good car. you're better off buying an old R32 or S13 and tracking that and ruining it rather than ruining a V35 at the track its up to you but that's my opinion
  23. awesome.. my ears are pinned to SAU! don't forget to call NESA about that DVD player (DVD8000) it would be uber convenient if i could get them both put in during the same visit next monday..
