paint codes are the same for infiniti and nissan they most probably ship overseas. there's a few websites like the one i linked that all do OEM parts as well as aftermarket parts. that one (everythingG35.com) comes with recommendations from g35driver they get a lot of parts through them just send them an email and ask if they will ship to aust http://www.g35parts.com/9083/osc/contact_us.php or call them: 1-888-216-5328 -
V35, What Have You Done.
WazR32GTSt replied to CHO50N's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
fair enough.. personalyl i can't understand doing these kind of mods on such an expensive car but each to their own it will sound awesome with the right setup that i have no doubt having pulled off the door fascia the door is factory sealed (like one would normally do with dynamat) so nissan have really thought about how things would sound, not just thrown something together.. -

what are you trying to say about the demographic of V35 drivers, Shan? yeah this is a good idea.. what's also a good idea is if we have our own for sale section like the stageas have! R32/33/34's can interchange parts but we really can only get parts from other V35's so searchign through a whole FS forum for 1 thread isn't high-yield.. on a separate note, I saw a silver V35 sedan parked a few times in the Redcliffe Hospital while i was there for 4 weeks, anybody here? -

are you planning on running a cinema in your car? the OEM bose setup is pretty decent cpnsisting of 6-stacker, 8 speakers all amplified by a bose amp plus on the premium models it is integragted into the steering controls which you will loste with an aftermerket setup is it worth spending thousands on something that might only be a little bit better, if at all, with no steering controls? you can add a sub to the stock setup if you like, search on g35driver.com there's heaps of info there do you have any pics of your car? -
AWD? i don't remember seeing a front diff! i think there was a model of G35 sedan (maybe called the G35x?) that was AWD but that doesn't apply to us from what i know but for us on the V35 that's a snow/hold button, same as with R32/33/34 automatic cars when pressed, it: - takes off in second gear from standstill - cuts a lot of power to the rear wheels to prevent wheelspin - doesn't allow the car to drop down gears suddenly when accelerator is ressed (thus avoiding wheelspin when you drop down gears and suddenly take off)

make sure you take pics! good luck mate! -
no, same engine, same specs in fact, the V35 has japanese maps so in theory it might even put more power down at the rear wheels than an equivalent year 350z well i am 24 and paying $1100 with just car insurance for full com which includes protection of my rating one can't ask for better than that with my age! also, its basically the same car (same engine, gearbox, brakes, suspension) but has rear seats and a nicer interior check out the V35 section for more info they are a bargain car at the price they go for
-
so, i'm right then? hehe

considered a V35?

sewid.. are you trying to say that "this person" you keep talking about (and giving us no details!) will be getting a BAND NEW gtr through the SEVS scheme, as in not the second-hand rule, the new rule. meaning the car will roll off the production line in japan, onto a boat, to be sold "new" from the import shop in Australia?

V35 Skyline Premium Vs Non Premium
WazR32GTSt replied to MFC05's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
find the "mirror folding" switch on the left of the steering wheel and make sure that it is pushed to fold out, not in the neutral position (leave it in that position) then press the small round "mirror tilt" button to its on position then see if that works when you reverse from memory, chris rogers said that a lot is connected to that mirror folding wiring and its a bit of a nightmare back there so i hope it hasn't been disconnected for your sake! -
the standard fittment is a light on the door that shines down, and one light in the boot in the middle the optional fitment was a light in each footwell and 2 extra lights in th boot pretty easy to wire in, i was planning on wiring something myself oneday to light up the footwell's when the doors are opened, just tap into the +12V source from the door light (the bottom one that shines down) just don't throw stuff out!

Tyre Placard - Oem Optional 19s
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
thanks jon! yeah i hope so, i sent him an sms and he said he would be contacting me soon i was a bit dissapointed that the tyres were shot so i hope his price reflects this accordingly.. -
Hi, i was after some help from any V35 350GT coupe owner unfortunately my tyre placard only lists the OEM 17s and 18s on it.. can someone have a look at their tyre placard (mine is on the passenger side where you open the door) and can they tell me if it lists the OEM 19s on there? if it does list them, can that lucky person tell me the OEM rim size, tyre size, load rating, and speed rating of said tyre that Mr Nissan recommends (basically all the info that is there on the 19s)? this would be much appreciated! i may have found a set of OEM 19s for sale but the seller says i may need to source new tyres as the tyres on them are apparently useless.. cheers, Warren PS alternatively, if someone else has OEM 19s rims+tyres for sale, with useful tyres, send me a PM and i'll take them off your hands instead!

chris rogers knows his stuff that's for sure, it must be a top shelf system he recommended.. back 5 or so years ago when i got my R32 i had a "zylux" alarm and immobiliser fitted at hi-fi supermarket in melbourne (zylux are apparently made by code or so i was told). they did an ok job and the alarm never faulted me. one thing i noticed though was that they just jammed the control box for the alarm behind the dash without attachign it to anything and it kept falling out - i had to secure it myself later on! also, not the greatest place to "hide" such a unit as its kind of obvious cost me about $250 + install, and included remote central, siren, backup, and basic immobiliser personally i would put a focus on someone that knows what they are doing when installing alarms. unfortunately with places like jb-hifi etc the installer at one place has nothing to do with the installer at the next place. one guy could be awesome and the other hopeless. there's no way to know really. hope it all works out!

Problems With A Crank Angle Sensor

moral of the story: don't touch stuff if you don't know what you're doing! i myself will happily adjust the timing but will never remove a CAS as i don't know how it works. same reason i won't tune an ECU myself or attempy to rebuild and engine -
How Many Kms Are Everyone Getting Out Of Their V35
WazR32GTSt replied to MFC05's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
good thinking bobby.. now that you mention it, i always fill up at about 1/8 full, and have never realyl taken into account what fuel was left + reserve and how that could contribute to the kms given on a tank now if only i could be bothered recording / calculating...
