Rear Mounted Turbo For V35
WazR32GTSt replied to THE_350GT's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
1) horribly inefficient use of pipework 2) turbo is near the fuel tank (this can't be good in an accident!) 3) what happens when the exhaust side of the turbo gets water on it from a puddle? (i imagine the metal would crack) 4) what happens when you go into shallow water and the turbo gets flooded with water? (i imagine the turbo would shit iteself) 5) no muffler? the list goes on... i would be SHOCKED and AMAZED if this was actually for real and if it ever passed an engineer's test -

i've ridden on 16s, 17s, and 18s in all of the cars i've owned including 18s on my current V35.. and i've noticed next to no difference in terms of "ride comfort" between any wheel or tyre combo i personally believe in goign for the biggest and best looking wheel that works with the rest of the car

Twin Turbo Or Supercharge?
WazR32GTSt replied to 350GT350's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
if cooling is an issue, why not upgrade to a thicker aluminium radiator? that way you can keep the stock bumper which looks awesome in stock condition... -
Heated Seats On All V35's?
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
up is for high heat, down is for low as in the thicker and longer bar for up, and thinner and shorter bar down low can you do us a favour and open you console and take a pic of where the wires go form the switches? its as simple as - pull down the plastic around the bottom of the shifter - pop out the pin - lift off the gearknob - lift up the armrest - then lift the console from where the switches are this takes about 2-3mins and requires no screwdriver or anything i would just like to see on a coupe where the wires go after they coem out of the switches thanks mate! Heated Seats On All V35's?
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
yeah you are getting confused - there were 2 similar posts about this on g35 driver.. but the crux of this thread was that they found that the loom and heating elements are already there in the STANDARD seats as long as they were the power seats and not the manually operated seats this is on the sedans anyway, and jons car (also sedan) has the plugs poking you in the face when you look at it i'm hoping that on the coupe they are tucked away somewhere but to be honest it didn't look like it when i had a brief look earlier today -
Heated Seats On All V35's?
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
i know, its frustrating that jon's are right in front of your eyes! even all the pics that i have seen of cars on g35driver they are all very visible, be it coupe or sedan, although its been impossible to find any exposed dash pics on g35driver.. eg this pic, although this car already has the switches as standard: http://g35ipod.com/images/install/25.jpg i might have another look tomorrow. it seems the correct part of the loom runs down the passenger side of the console. but failing that, i might have to leave it for you in a few weeks time chris.. in th meantime, everyone else go have a lok to see if you have the plugs! less typing, more searching! -

WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
yeah but i can't find it as yet.. he also said to me that he had seen the same loom on all V35's so i hope its somewhere.. -
Heated Seats On All V35's?
WazR32GTSt replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
i know it sounds great i am really dissapointed that i couldn't find the splugs under my console now but i'm hoping skizo clears up the seat issue as if the seat has all the hardware already then its going to be easy to wire up a switch whether its got a connection on the loom or not.. -

thanks duncan... if you don't go ahead with it, and i can see some reasons you would consider to not go with it, can you give some feedback so that we can know why i personally think its a great opportunity to help SAU grow just think in 10 years time how many V35/V36/R35's will be on the road and coule benefit from this cheers, Warren -
ok so i came across this thread on G35driver.. http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=199456 and it turns out that in the USA, all G35's that have power seats have the heater elements pre-wired into them! all you have to do is find the plug under the centre console and plug in the OEM switches and the heaters work note that this is on the sedan in the above thread so i was thinking, i wonder if the seat setup is the same for the V35? i know that heated seats were offered on the 70th anniversary V35's it would be easy for us to simply use fast to see if there are different part numbers for the different seats. if not, and they have the same part number then its probably simply that the seat is the same but usign a different cover for the 70th anniversary seats i have ordered a set of the switches from the USA but unfortunately i cannot find the said plugs in my car as they are pictured on the sedans in the above thread. i am hoping they are jammed away in a hidden spot somewhere or slightly different for the coupe. maybe someone else can pull their centre console off to have a look if they have the plugs? let's hope we have unlocked a nice hidden secret here! cheers, Warren

hi skizo, i have a request for you if you have time.. can you do a search for a replacement 2003 coupe seat? i'd be interested to see i the seat is different between the normal coupe and the 70th anniversary coupe that had the heated seats what i'm really trying to find out is if the seat is the same or different and thus if the normal seats have the heaters already installed in them or not i've just come across some info on G35driver that apparently the non-heated seats in the USA were all pre-installed with heaters in them as there was only one type of seat that could be bought, thus making the heaters work was simple wiring cheers, Warren -
would be a great idea i think but you're right, the purists like those who have been crying about H-pattern manual's and rb26's are going to hate the idea but this is 2008 and times are changing.. a novel idea is great
