  2. there's a place in albion just near the city can't remember what its called, but its near the repco and the car wash in albion do a search - its been covered many a time before
  3. with increasing numbers of V35 skylines and M35 stageas coming in, and nissan platforms now going to VQ engines and differeint interiors to the older R-series skylines, it seems SAU has grown and will continue to grow with many users having newer models each day it was great to firstly see the V-series skylines getting our own section. The V35 (coupe and sedan) is for sale everywhere now and the V36 is soon to follow. Similar cars such as the Z33 350z, M35 stagea, fuga, and cima are also coming in more and more and ar e all based on the same platform now what i propose has been discussed quite a bit already in the V-series section, and has even been suggested by funkymonkey as being a good idea that he has goign to impliment: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...t&p=3722046 the problem we have with our cars is that parts are more difficult to come by than for the R-series skylines. parts that are easily interchangible between R31/32/33/34 cars just don't fit the V35 / M35 / Z33 / Y50 or are more of a downgrade. given the high turnover of threads in the normal for sale section, its almost impossible to find a thread for our cars even if it were available as we never look in there because its simply impossible to find parts what i propose is that we have a dedicated for sale section for "newer model nissans" or simply for "V-series skylines" if you would prefer to keep the skyline name going. it would benefit all owners in the above groups and given that more and more people are buying newer nissans, this will ultimately benefit SAU as a whole and compliment the ever-growing V-series section perfectly it could be set-up as per the current stagea for sale section, where is appears at the top of the regular for sale section but is linked to also appear at the top of the V-series section I would be very keen to see what prank has to say about this idea, and what other mods feel about it cheers, Warren
  4. if you had done any research at all you would realise that a GCG high-flow IS aball bearing turbo now go do a search before you write anymore
  5. how much you looking to spend? considered a V35?
  6. hi Max, this is a good thought in an ideal world... i was thinking of this for quite some time and did a lot of research into different setups that are available. the problem is there isn't many units that do the lot, and even fewer GOOD units. the good ones that do everything are expensive and your best real option is a carPC really, most of that can be covered but the major conponents are GPS, TV, DVD, and bluetooth phone i ended up going with the chris rogers conversion because i decided that i would prefer a good GPS and DVD system and would sacrafice the all-in-one design to have that working properly as a priorty. if you have used a cheap GPS system you will understand why the garmin unit is so good some issues that i have with the all-in-one systems on the market: - they use suspect GPS systems. most aren't big brands and don't tell you where their maps come from or if you can update maps. even fewer offer 3D images, and only the garmin offers spoken streetnames - many TV tuners don't work in australia as we use a different system to japan/usa/etc so you have to source one designed specifically for australia - getting a good TV image on the go requires a good tuner and a good antenna setup ie a diverstiy system with antenna on front and rear of car - many DVD players still only do zone 4 discs and this would have to be overcome - many cheap bluetooth systems are poor quality (look at some of hte good systems from parrot and nokia) I applaud your thinking but there's a reason we have gone down the path we have i wish you luck with your search and hope you find somethign good that suits your needs! cheers, Warren
  7. GCG high-flow of the stock turbo?
  8. hmmm well its not the reversing system then, but it does look like its a dealer-fitted item being the same button type
  9. yeah OEM body parts like front lips.. i would like one of those or even some 06 sport bumpers, the ones with the slightly different front opening on them.. i would definately take one of those!
  10. hmmm interesting.. looks the same as the button that controls (ie turns on/off) the drop-down side mirrors when you reverse where exactly is it? on the drivers side? left or right of the wheel? do you have the "reversing pack"?
  11. hmm can't remember exactly its in the workshop manual, maybe 0.45V at idle?
  12. there is an aux input.. its located on the TV tuner which is under the LHS of the boot carpet but unfortunately there's no simple RCA plugs, rather some jap plug i'll wait for Chris Rogers to jump in and tell you more about how you can get it connected up, he has a nice way that displays things on the screen
  13. the problem is that suspension is a very personal choice and it totally subjective what one person calls a "small drop" and "comfy", the next person calls a big drop and too hard geoff, if you go down the standard 350z spring route, please let me know and provide some before and after pics for us if you can i would be keen to do this also at some stage, but i would want to see how it looks first
  14. as i said, when you put track-work aside, i can't see the brembo's makign a huge difference on the street how do they compare on the street, bobby?
  15. PM sent! tell me more! i know of a V35 down on the gold coast getting complied where the workshop is "thinking" of letting me have them but only once compliance is done
  16. vev, consider this though.. on the street you wouldn't notice the difference between brembo's or the OEM items where as with a sorted out audio-visual system you can use it everyday and enjoy it just something to consider. my opinion - brembo's on the street are for looks only
  17. keen to know this also from what i have read on g35driver.com this should lower the front approx 1" and the rear about .25"
  18. if you get in some of the OEM optional 19s (forged rays 5-spoke) with tyres i will definately take them off your hands - 100% guarantee!
  19. nice work mate - looks mean!
  20. paint them shadow chrome - best colour in the world for rims imo its like a polished version of gunmetal, and it looks wicked on a silver car! PS here's a great DIY i found whole searching for V35 stuff: http://g35driver.com/forums/showthread.php...ight=paint+rims it also shows you the shadow chrome look in all its glory!
  21. headlights - they can look crap very quickly and for some that are beyond polishing might be worth getting a few sets including 06+ sets as upgrades anything that was an OEM option/upgrade - TV screens, leather/suede seats spare ballasts + globes for thsoe without them wheels - 18" and 19" OEM upgrades don't worry too much about engines/gearboxes as they are the same as 350z's (except the CVT-8 gearbox) dash pieces seem to be holiding up ok but maybe some steering wheels for the future? or some centre consoled in case they get scratched up a bit? some smalelr engine parts such as ECUs, coil packs, AFMs, etc that might be of worry well down into in the future stock/aftermarket exhausts for when they start to rust in a few years.. does that help?
  22. chris, did you get the audio controls i dropped off? i gave them to your wife..
  23. i agree on the E-class being more than a small step up on the C-class.. i would trade my soul for an E63
  24. let us know how it goes!
