  1. how do access yahoo japanand what is it? is it like an ebay sort of thing?
  2. you can't bring in cars that have been in an accident under the SEVS system...
  3. does anyone know of any wreckers in Oz that stock V35 half cuts or OEM parts as yet? there's a small thing that i'm after but mainly it woud be good to know where to look if i need serious parts one day cheers, Warren PS i know of many wreckers so i don't just want a list of parts importers, i want to know if anyone actually knows that a place has parts.. thanks
  4. there's always going to be a base model going around with no features (eg no premium pack), high kms, etc..
  5. if you mean a drop in the price of V35's in australia, then no i think the release of the V37 doesn't affect us for 2 reasons: 1) the cars are new and thus expensive - people that are going to spend that much rarely import cars but rather buy locally so that they get a warranty etc 2) people have to get SEVS compliance for the car before it can be rought it - if we look back to what that involves, they have to buy a car and wreck it for testing to prove its compliance. not many companies could afford to do that just yet in short, the V35 won't be dropping for a few years until the V37 starts to filter through to our shores, and this is a while away in my opinion...
  6. i think the reversing pack was: rear camera, fold down mirrors, auto fold in so maybe you hadto have the rear camera to have all those features?
  7. sounds good mate, keep us informed!
  8. a few problems there.. firstly, yes the unit will probably work if you want to fit the new DVD-rom and computer into your V35 BUT 1) there are no australia maps made by the company that makes the unit 2) it will display everything in "infiniti" instead of nissan 3) not sure if all the features (eg avg fuel consumption) are the same with the G35
  9. this seems to be only an issue with manual "rev up" engines in the US..
  10. well no, my fronts are suede and leather like the backs you either have swapped-out fronts, or swapped-out rears i would say..
  11. fair enough mate, each to their own what other mods are people planning? i have just ordered the rearview mirror from the G35 in the states. its got integrated "homelink" and automatic dimming i don't think it was offered in japan from what i've read and seen.. i'm also wondering why they didn't offer heated seats with the black leather/suede combo?
  12. do you have dyno proof of the spacer actually making a difference?
  13. on g35driver, the only really worthwile mods they have described are exhaust and ECU they try crap like intake manifold spacers etc but most are lucky to see 1-2rwkw extra with those i have heard a few people with unichips on Z33's and have spoken very highly of them, so that might be a worthwile venture
  14. found a set, thanks
  15. have a read on g35 driver.com a few have said to press and hold the eject button for a while and eventually it pops out
  16. the standard alarm doesn't have the auto window-up feature but the does automatically fold in the mirrors when you lock the doors! and it re-opens them when you turn the key also, as mentied, it says "bose" on the rear speakers and on the headunit on the flap where the tapes are supposed to go

  19. no, that's a separate dongle thing you're thinking of, Al i have that also - its a proximity sensor that needs to be within a foot or so of the ignition barrel when the key is inserted otherwise it won't start..
  20. interesting.. thanks mate so how do i use it? and what does the dealer-fitted system do?
  21. --> see attached pictures my car came with 2 of these, i attached one to my keyring not sure what it does, i suspect it has something to do with NATS (nissan anti theft system) but i am not sure what? anyone with any ideas? cheers, Warren PS.. how awesome is this new V35 section!!
  22. the clubs are completely separate and it depends on the state you are in eg Vic club is very car-orientated and holds heaps of big meetings and car events Qld club is very socially orientated. there's a group of about 10 people each week that meet for dinner. not very car-orientated. most events that are held are run by non-members and everyone can go eg cruises, dyno days, etc. i was a member of the qld club and didn't renew it because i never used the membership Vic club was much better but i don't live there anymore it's up to you but do some research first..
  23. and how oftem does the manual say to change engien oil? personally, i change engine oil every 5,000kms and transmission oil every 20,000kms but that's just me - i am very into maintenance.. must be my medical training - prevention is better than cure!
