  1. ha ha RACQ giving a good experience with an import? you crack me up...
  2. i have no idea of your car, markimak, i was referring to the original poster who started the thread if you see a car for sale here in australia, or at a dealer, then 99.9999% of the ones with less than 100,000kms are fake denial is the only thing that will make you believe otherwise of course there is the very odd exception with evidecne you seem to have markimak, but that is very mcuh out of hte ordinary for most buyers..
  3. awesome, i was hoping someone would say it was a good idea
  4. if you see a 15 year old import with less than 100,000kms then you are seriously kidding yourself if you think they are genuine... then you've got to say to yourself.. if they have changed the kms, then what else are they lying about?
  5. what about for suede protection? i was contemplating spraying that leather/suede protector stuff on it that you can get to waterproof your shoes but i am not sure if its a good idea or not.. i used meguiars protectant on the leather parts of my seat...
  6. i have a set of 6 rb20det coilpacks for sale for $130 delivered if you want them.. i'm not willing to sell one on its own as then the rest of the 5 are worthless! pics: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=70598 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=70599 http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...st&id=70600
  7. well its standard on most lexus / merc and other top end cars, but who knows how much thieves know about cars? i don't see it as being a major issue, just a theoretical issue really it gets its 12V from the cigarette lighter so it needs the key in to get power. if you wire it from a constant 12V source then they would only need to break in to activate the switch!
  8. the fuel door is manually operated ie you get out of the car and push on it to pop it open it only works when the car is unlocked, as when the car is locked the fuel door can't be opened manually
  9. that's funny, because i like the front much more than the rear... the rear can look a bit chunky from some angles, but that frunt bumper is very nice. the only thing i don't like about the front is the shape of the headlights..
  10. chris, PM me i can help but only on weekends..
  11. actuaully, that was only the manual "track" version, not part of the premium package...
  12. that's a nismo front bumper too looks great mate!
  13. go the V35 mate, you honestly won't regret it!
  14. thanks for sorthing something out chris.. you know that if you get a plug-and-play system working for the nav you are guaranteed heaps of customers... (well me at least!)
  15. well actually i have had a bit of a think, and i am thinking of not programming the remote at this stage for a while see i alternate which car i keep poutside at the moment as we have only one garage space and 2 cars so i don't want to program the remote and leave it outside. if someone breaks into the car they could just wire in 12V to the remote and open the garage door! but if you keep your car inside it would be fine. but just on the auto-dim feature its worth it i think - its stupid to think that its not standard with the premium pack like in the USA.. here's a link to a mirror: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Infiniti-G3...152880803QQrdZ1 ..but that one doesn't look like it comes with the loom.. this is hte exact one i bought from the exact seller: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Gentex-Auto...emZ130135574974 the model as standard on the G35 is the "Gentex GENK40" it fits onto the standard window wedge
  16. ebay (.com not .com.au), $150 it came with the unit and the wiring loom. plug ang play i installed it today and it took all of 30mins the change of mirror was literally unscrew the old mirror and slide the new mirror over the existing wedge sticker on the window - no need to re-glue it to the window then i just ran a +bve wire fromthe ciragette lighter and grounded the loom to the chassis and i'm laughing! i tested the auto-dimming with a torch and its fantastic! i haven't programmed my garage remote yet but will do that in the next few days cheers, Warren
  17. plus dealers offer a 3 month statutory warranty which is another bonus... importing is always going to be cheaper but its up to you if ou can be bothered waiting for something you've never driven or seen in person
  18. ABS? when did you use that at the drags? nice time though
  19. i got 9k off the advertised price when i got mine (from a dealer), so they are in no way firm on prices if you go in actually looking to buy. of course, if you just go to enquire then they won't give at all because there's no point unless they know you are serious
  20. actually, the cigarette lighter isn't actually inside the dash is it? it might be pretty easy to hook it up from there.. shall post pics when i'm done of the homelink + autodimmer
  21. hi, jsut want some advice i am going to install tomorrow the G35 homelink mirror that i recieved today from the USA i just wanted advice from anyone as it might save time in searching for the wire that i want does anyone know of a good place under the dash (within easy access) to get a +12V ignition source from? thanks for your help, Warren
  22. its a small round button with a little sticker on it that has the image of a side mirror on it
  23. yeah i had a look into it actually and even enquired about getting the buttons sent over from the USA but i am waiting to hear back from a few people the electric throttle helps i don't think it was offered on ANY 350GT's in japan the G35's seemed to get a few options that we didn't. eg the auto-dimming reversing mirror with homelink that just arrived at my place today from the USA
  24. but if you burn DVD's with a program like anyDVD running in the background then it removes all DVD regions anyway
