  1. where are the ballasts located? can they be seen form the engine bay? when i look down at my headlights all i see are 2 red wires that dissappear downward behind the headlight unit...
  2. cheers! awesome info!
  3. no, no fog lights - i don't like them anyway... yeah on the sig, i decided that its the best way to advertise and get the word out there of the new section
  4. or are you referring to something on the actual headlight, in the car?
  5. wow, quick response! i'm not sure what you mean exactly mate.. do you mean the long thing that runs from the tip of the globe back to the base on one side? because it all looks intact.. in fact, the 2 globes are in a sealed pack with 2 wires that look like they've never been opened
  6. so i have been reading and it seems that the V35 350GT came out with xenons as standard, but that these are removed at compliance... i picked up my car today and i also recieved (in the glovebox) a set of headlight globes that look like phillips xenon globes... can i just plug them in or is it likely that the whole headlight has been modified for the non-xenon globes? cheers, Warren
  7. yeah i found that forum quiote helpful also, but i can't seem to register at the moment, it says registration has been disabled? weird..
  8. again, thanks for the info where did you find it? it seems like we're the only ones posting in here.. maybe we're the only ones with V35's?
  9. awesome find mate! how many kms has yours done? i used to hcnage at 10,000kms with coppers on my rb20 but now i think it might go closer to 100,000 given the VQ is an NA and that they are iridiums...
  10. Anyone have part numbers for replacement things like oil filters, fuel filters, etc. ...and not stock part numbers, i mean aftermarket parts like valvoline filters and the like feel free to post in here so we can all do our own oil changes! cheers, Warren
  11. awesome news on the springs... so this is for front and rear? and they're a direct replacement without replacing anythign else?
  12. i have the stock orange side indicators if you're interested but they're not round, they're an oval shape shoot me a PM if interested.. i'm in new farm
  13. the locations are on the shell australia website, i remember looking ages ago when it first came out at the bowser i fill up on coronation drive in milton
  14. looks great, mate the stock wheels aren't too bad actually, i wouldn't write them off altogether what's the go with 350z springs? are they a direct replacement?
  15. thanks ash, much appreciated, especially since i just bought one yesterday! (a v35 that is)
  16. i just bought a 2003 V35 350GT yesterday!! so excited, but also a bit nervous that i bit the bullet finally.. i pick it up dext weekend from the dealer 2003 with 25,000kms 5sp auto with tiptronic silver duco with black interior black leather with suede inserts on seats stock 17" 6-spoke wheels / no spoiler - thinking of putting my volk challenge f-zero 18" rims on if they will fit bose stereo electric seats tinted windows reversing camera sat nav and TV (does not work yet obviously) all the crap that comes with that model like traction control, 8 airbags, ABS, dual climate control, 6-stacker CD with steering controls, etc. i've been looking on g35driver.com for heaps of info but we should get this section up and running as an even better resource my only 2 real questions at this stage are 1) are the wheelsthe same offset and stud pattern as previous skylines (so, will my 18's fit on the G35?) 2) what parts from the 350z are compatible? i've been reading that the whole exhaust is the same (thus making it easier to get exhausts here in oz) not to mention the engine and gearbox... Warren.
  17. PM sent
  18. let us know how you go... i'd be keen to get a stock manifold extrude honed for down the track when i go for a bigger turbo.. maybe you could organise it cheaper if you could get them to do 5 manifolds or something?
  19. and remember to use thin coats.. i gave mine about 5 or 6 coats, each very thin, and it came out perfect! 3 years later still looks great
  20. exhaust cam gear's gaims, in my experience, can be summed up as: - boost on significantly earlier - more power/torque down low - a little top end lost (i lost 3rwkw up top but gained up to 25rwkw in the midrange with exhaust cam on already existing tomei poncams)
  21. surely it would take hardly any time to install.. might only be an extra $100 on top of tune for the install.. if you can afford a unichip, you can afford $100 extra, right?
  22. all z32 300zx's run a z32 AFM.. that's 89 to 99 or whenever they finished production z32 is the model of the zed, equivalent to r32 or r33 or s13 etc. and is no the name of the AFM per se try www.aus300zx.com for more detailed information
  23. i'll be in Wondai over that period so can't commit to being able to run the car, but if i can make it back for the weekend i will definately come and watch
