  1. just call owen. that was what I was going to tell you.
  2. so what have you been fiddling with?
  3. call owen at cronulla car sound 0295455577 and mention my name. he will have the bose lead there ready and waiting. time to toss your radio in.
  4. in a nutshell yes. personnally I think you need to get your life in order first.. why add a 30k debt to an already out of control budget.
  5. true. the reason everyone can make money from china is the living standards are low and wages are too. give it 10-15 yrs to catch up. thailand is the next one to watch. ford/isuzu/mazda already make trucks there and I figure that it will take on other things as well.
  6. I know that nissan are doing the same thing for parts. I have issues at times ordering electronic assemblies and sometimes panel work. they simply say they are stopping production until the production target is reached. two aftermarket companies I deal with do the same thing. I will request stock, wait two weeks for an invoice and wait a further 2 weeks for stock to arrive. when talking to them the are making the order when I order it. for someone at my level (small business) it is fine to hold minimal stock but I can't really see the logic in the process they are using. that could well explain why most are sourcing from china now. whilst japan is sliding down the ladder financially and labour costs are high china is winning due to low labour and the get it out there attitude. already been through a fisical japan year. I get reminded of sales targets to which my reply is: oz is 22milion people. so the entire population will just about fit in the city of tokyo. something that most jap suppliers seem to miss.. ( big country - small population) FWIW Oz ain't doing that much better. there are days that I'm twiddling my thumbs because the markets are right off pace and then days that everyone loads up the credit cards again. there is not a even spread of market like there was 3-4 years back. same issue as japan - the overspenders aren't doing it anymore as the money is not there. the RAWs situation is the same. they are struggling for a market s well. its a global issue overall I think. my 2c
  7. it is called rubberised coating. I have a panel shop that redoes a lot of them for me. $100 a pop.
  8. almost sounds like a remote issue. what does brant have to say?
  9. metro - see david metion me. or I can get bits as well.
  10. mark, you have hit it bang on. I do business in japan on a daily basis and I'm finding that everyone is VERY close to calling it a day. if the gov't would let the yen slide a bit then they may pull out of it a bit. thing being (correct me here) this has been going on for at least 20 years..
  11. trust you to be different air horns on all of mine. the stock ones didn't seem to 'work' for some reason. SCA do a $35 one that is a two tone item.
  12. probably not a bad idea
  13. tim, not really. cost of those things ex japan is something silly. checked with a mate of mine and used/cleared that are well over $1k a set. new price I can get for yuou quite easily (flick me your chassis number) but I wills ay now that you had better be sitting down
  14. shoot me some details of the alarm and I'll try to help.
  15. still lighter though toss another RB25 in it. easier and a lot less dicking around.. based on your idea: RB25 ECU - wrong - car *MAY* start but certainly won't run. box - yes - fits mounts - yes.
  16. will do. call me when you get a sec. cristian, will advise. have stock ready for it. are we doing the steering wheel as well?
  17. run it past. I'll sort it for you.
  18. I would be looking at what you moved myself. who did the car alarm originally?
  19. find someone with a launch diagun (me.) or one of these: both will read your car fine. part of the reason I have one. contact launch for a list of people in sydney that use them. +61-2-9744 8467 short of that - hornsby nissan.
  20. not yet. waiting for a mate of mine to do her run to MLB. I was going to escort her down. mark- would be on the way back up that I see you. can't do it on the way down.
  21. if you DO find one look for a XA107 to match it. you will need that to get aux audio into it. I would look at pioneer myself and change the LED that lights the dispaly. they have rear aux.
  22. get me the keys and I'll code them.. (my machine is due back early macrch.)
  23. new left inner steel guard. no more rough cut one. close up of new left side inner steel guard - showing part number shot taken through the front screen area with me standing up. shows the test fitting of both inner steel guards. they fit perfectly. right side brace after a quick tidyup with a grinder to remove the spot weld points. the underside has bee painted with copper weld paint. right side area where the new panel tucks behind two other pieces of steel. this is inside the wheel well and will need to be resealed. this wasn't that hard to separate and remove the old piece of metal . putting the new one back in place will be interesting to watch. test fitting - right side panel passenger side (left) showing how the panel tucks behind two other pieces of steel. test fitting left side guard something I found when mucking around with door boots. this one is off a Z11 Cubre from door. fits perfectly. whilst its not the 'correct' item it does make the placing of wires a LOT easier.
  24. they are like mushrooms in a way. the pop up everywhere. mind you plenty of them around and a lot hanging around herston for some reason
