yes. the radio (in your case.) only plays sound. so if you buy one that has AUX in on the rear of it then no issue. buy a unit that has NTSC video out and then we can do a some cool stuff..

most of you know who I am so I can play thief for a sec: If I see a car I like I'll note the car, wait a few days call a mate of mine with a flatbed and then go get it. failing that I'll go get it myself. alarms wont slow me down. half of them are halfarsed anyway and will only take me a few minutes to get through. tracking alarm may get me if I dont find the module first. (I have 30 sec usually to find them before they start calling out.) if you have an immobiliser only then you made my job a LOT easier. they make no noise so I can pop the window out and pop the lock, hop in pull the column shroud and wire the ignition back together and drive off. now if you do teh old fuel line lock or brake line locks then there is a good chance the car will still be sitting there when you get back - I may get a bit pissed off and smash the crap out of it or torch it but it will still be there. ------ if you are that worried about this car - sell it and buy a shitbox for daily duties. what I have outlined there was a pro thief,smart joyrider and a dumbshit that steals shit off cars. trust me I can be all 3.. those that know me well know that the car they drive won't go anywhere in a hurry and if someone does get in they will go deaf trying. 18 yrs ago I wired a electric fence controller to my car and that worked well. it also got me in a LOT of trouble with the cops. food for thought.

AH ok show me the remote. I can proably lay hands on a diagram for it. when you turn the car over what is missing - IE lights?

in short - yes. anything will work with it BUT you need to have a AUX in on the rear of it.from there you need to be able to rework the DIN lead to spit the audio out. if I get time I'll make a patch lead for it and off it up for sale. how do you guys want it - DIN-> male RCA or DIN ->3.5mm jack?

good DIY. been using that for a while now. only thing being , these guys DO NOT have this setup. they have the popup screen on the top o the dash. ENTIRELY different from the MFD.

you should try working on both. they are QUITE different to work on.

nah - for the AVN unit above that price is right. if all you wanted was nav then that is 1300ish depending on how its done.

let me know of you need help as for the immobilsier - tell me who complied the car and I can probably tell you what the unit is.

start on the left: remove passenger sill trim,remove passenger kick panel, remove visible screw on lower corner of glovebox,open glovebox,remove ALL screws,remove single screw on inside lower corner of glove box, remove visble screws on the pocket, remove pocket, remove gearstick cover , remove two screws. pull off ac display cover. remove screw. not done yet. remove 10mm bolt under hood release. pull that panel off. remove two screws that hold pocket in, remove pocket and undo cig lighter. almost done. grab radio assy and pull outward. the WHOLE thing comes out. disconnect EVERYTHING that is attached to it. take it out and set on table. remove 4 screws that hold the bracket in place. remove pocket. fit radio. order a harness and antenna adpater from me and wire the whole lot up. reassemble! if this gets you I do this for a living and if you are brissy based I will do it for a fee.

that to me is a rebodied Z33. if its ANYTHING like the other nissan drop tops I have driven then it will twist and turn as it goes down the road.
