  1. 2004 + no emission testing for them DESPITE them being advertised on jspec. if you wnat to be the first then buy the car. you will be waiting a LONG time to drive it. the engine may be a 3.5 V6 but its in a TOTALLY different car requiring a full test and anyone that buys a car later than nov 2003 will get screwed bigtime. the earlier cars have SWC. if they do not then its a VERY easy upgrade. if you look on carmen imports site there is a red 35 coupe there advertising that the controls were added there. they were. I did them. as for airbags - yep 8 of them. seats, curtains, front. have seen them in the roof when working on the car. servicing- your call there. I know of a few people with El Grande vans that go to nissan for that. they have no problem with the service software and are happy to go there. as for modding the cars with A/V and doing the jap TV/nav swaps - yes thats me.
  2. correct. I should really write a FAQ for all this stuff..
  3. if its still there ABC spares had a 33 with the rearend intact. may be worth a look.
  4. I have a fellow there that can do it BUT he doesn't have the unit. I do. if you do not have a spare $450 for it then you may wnat to give it a miss. I do have another method as well that uses to OE radio and steering controls as well. your call there.
  5. no. did you get the keycodes with the car?? without that nissan can program the key to the car and get the remote entry working but will not be able to program the immobiliser side of the key. now without that the car will spin over but not start. the NATS system cuts the fuel via software. IE no immobliser keycodes = no immobiliser data to the ECU = no fuel. does that make more sense. the code will be on a steel tag attached to the key if you have it. (write it down if you do!!)
  6. make sure they have it IN STOCK before you pay them. PM for why. most of the electrical bits are correct. there are some though that are V series specific and are best grabbed from japan.
  7. more of the issue is the immobiliser code they will be asked for and you probably do not have. the key side of things is easy.
  8. jon, replied there. looking at a few things as well. if you wish to be teh mule for the SWC thing let me know.
  9. no but I'll sell you the correct bits to fit that radio bose or non bose?
  10. 1 - I'll leave that to andy. 2. up to you . budget $4-800 for the necessary bits to do it correctly. (top end price is for bose.) 3. no. I did a stagea in sydney (yes I travel ) and retained teh screen by request. 4. yes. and it can run full time if needed. one point though. FORGET the EBAY rubbish. if you were going the 2DIN route do this: AVN6000 with IPOD, B'Tooth and a HITV box. best $4k you could spend. as for me. I work on them daily and I have a LOT of solutions for them. forget the V36/37 series btw. 36 is on the RAWS list - NO-ONE has done the$30k emissions test on them and to my knowledge there's not one in the country yet. 37 series is too new. questions on the 35 AV system - ask
  11. looking at that the car has no stereo and two pocekts ion place. no navi makes it a easy fix.
  12. ring them. nigel is quite easy to deal with.
  13. +1. I do a bit of work for them and they are VERY easy to deal with.
  14. based on the dealer fitted unit that I pull from these cars daily putting the key in the door and opening it sets it of. likewise does tapping on the glass with a coin. the sensors are ultrsonic based and the alarm will go off if you leave the windows down in wind as well. installation of these things leaves a LOT to be desired. 90% of them are in with scotchlocks and when I get them they are usually falling apart. max, sorry for the hijack.
  15. stylyn car audio - boronia 9739 8866 - adam - mention me.
  16. show me the car in question if its on the net
  17. you have a mongoose alarm fitted to that car and I dare say its a M80G. the sensor you showed is the glassbreak sensor. SCORP, do as waz suggested. yours does work as I set the thing off a few times.
  18. later xtrail uses it as well.
  19. I'll have a dig. uses the OE screen and keeps whatever radio is in the dash. nice to see lifestyle doing silly prices on them.
  20. tell that to one of the guys I do work for. have a van here (nissan thing) that I have to totally rework for htis market. has two screens and he wants the LOT to work here. so nav,tv,dvd, radio and a few extras. it has to be zoned as well. have it for as long as I need it thank god but its fun. put it this way I have a scope, sig gen, meter out pinning the thing out.
  21. hehe! I'm not perfect you know
  22. garmin maps. AVN is $2.5k before you add a reverse camera to it.
  23. after 22nd is fine by me. let me know.
