  1. email me a copy of that. btw have a s15 varietta that I think you will like once I'm done with it.
  2. dont think yours will do it (did I put nav in yours?) though.
  3. just rip it out... much easier. pioneer Oz wont touch it anyway. they did do TV and some of them supported a hardwired carkit as well. its NOT useable leave it at that.
  4. really. do you have hte firmware to do this? unit is jap based and the DVD side of it is locked to another region so its useless as well unless you wish to burn DVD to open region. in regard to the plenum - last 260 RS I did had 90k on it and it looked the same. think about how much heat is under there.. correct. nope unless you wish to do as I already stated. its easier to rip the lot out and start again. the radio you can save. chuck a $30 band expander on it and use it. if you are in brisbane I keep these.
  5. nav,TV are useless. I ripped that EXACT setup of of a S15 varietta 20 minutes ago.
  6. not at all. the one I use is the earlier one. $7.6k aud ex japan. (and it's NOT mine.) it does auto detect so it will drive the early RS232 based nissan , early v35 (j2534) and the true CAN based cars. that one would be on my wish list if I knew it would drive these cars. shenzen is where most of them are made anyway.
  7. and if you set it up properly - YOU DO NOT HAVE TO HANG AROUND!.
  8. other tool. Launch x431 is what I am using.
  9. GiSMo . DEI product. same idea though. its a separate module.
  10. Oz designed made in taiwan. how about you tell me what you are trying to do taht way I can help you.
  11. nope look elsewhere. half the stuff that fellow has sold is imported. the alarms are too cheap and I dare say imported. call mongoose in sydney and ask for a priceon that unit. it's well below what I pay.
  12. http://www.raws.com.au/SEVSRegC.asp give the last few lines of that a read. http://www.raws.com.au/SEVSRulingC.asp?RulingID=336 then ring a few people about it. suggest having a long chat with shogun myself.
  13. unsure. last 6spd I did had heated seats. yet to see another.
  14. short version. take the traditional cable that you know and replace it with a computer in the middle. your right foot at one end and a electronic actuator on the other. add to that the abililty to change things on the fly (EG skid control- computer backs off throttle even if you do not.) and it makes things like cruise that much easier. instead of having a dedicated module for cruise it now becomes a number that the computer can remember when the cruise button is pushed and that number is passed onto the throtle actuator. that help? as for the next post - steering has a angle sensor on it but thats it. you still have direct control of the car
  15. yep its a myth. all the ones I have pulled down are wired for it but thats it. seats are not wired for heat.
  16. if you have a spare $90K lying around go for it. $30k for the car $60 for when it fails and has to be retested.. driftt and Iron chef have enough on their plates from what I gather. I'm not far behind them. they are. any one from 2001 on was DBW.
  17. may I suggest looking the car in question up on the sevs register. to my knowledge it doesn't comply.
  18. nope they would be a common part amongst them from my thinking. best to try first. I would still have the keycode handy though. yes I dare say nissan can key it in but they would alos assume you have the keycode as well. put it this way the tool I use asked for a code when I went into the NATS side of it.
  19. compliance anyone??
  20. no. the immobiliser is part if the car and integrated into the ECU. the reason your was done was to satisify ADR 82/00. the original unit in the car does not conform to this. in short if the code is not in the original books with the car or you do not have the key tag then you are in for a bit of fun when it comes time to key a new key. nissan MAY be able to look it up for you but I would be doubtful on this.
  21. read the word doc, I know a few people that will have fun with this..
  22. I come out when requested. someone pays a fare down and back and I'm there. when I'm there I'm in condell park. the whole upgrade is 2-3 times that depending on what you do. Ipod video on screen I'm out of currently (micah brennan has the last one.) but the one I mentioned runs from the original radio. who is doing the swaps down there btw. revolution went out of business I thought.
  23. not bad. lets see what comes out in the wash now that you have one.
  24. SWC- yep! if it has the OE integrated radio in it - no problem. as I said I have done it SEVERAL times. nothing to really show. there was a blank spot on the left of the wheel and I filled it with a set of OE buttons, did a bit of fiddling and it works. most of the M35's I have been in had the curtains. leather versions mainly. as for the TV/NAV/whatever - NO problem! I do a LOT more than just nissan for this. at last count I had 15+ cars for this alone. feel free to ring me on monday if you like. details in sig.
