unless you take the wheels of the car and chain it to the ground - I'll take the car - simple as that. the system you have there relies on a variable - the installer. now 99% of people /installers couldn't give a rats arse how the thing is fitted if it works - who cares. that makes my job easier. find the unit - rip it out rejoin what is cut and I'm off again. you showed me what the unit looks like so I can now find it and rip it out. the system you haev relies on a transponder setup that when the main system loses contact it trips a timer and stops the car. not really that different from some of the other systems (IE autowatch 573) that works on a similar principle. there was another similar system on the net that had the installation instructions on the site. that made the system useless by my standards. think like a thief and you will soon realise nothing is unstealable.

yep rip it out. it will need a NTSC feed to work though. JVC do a 7 series unit that will work with it.

and you live where? I do the swaps on these and the V series cars. there is NO OZ DVD/CD for the MAPS. the system is made by Xenavi.

and I sell them as part of a compliance package when I do the cars here in brissy.

I can put what ever I want through it. in this case it was sat nav. routing audio is the fun bit depending on the radio used.

yes you can. that's the way the customer wanted it. I use the TV button to toggle between the two. the nav system talks regardless of screen display anyway.

I have actually worked on that car. (was in SCR kingsford in 98.) had an alarm issue at that time.

dan, that is teh stock MFD. modded it internally to take the garmin nav. teh one linked below I like but looking at it they used a different screen.

that I like. took a bit of work by the look of it. I spent 2 hours from start to finish on that one. Skins on it fit the theme of the GTR as well.

did this a few days back.. its a M Spec NUR started with this turned the key on and had a fiddle with this.. ripped the screen open , modded it and added this to it been modded to run via the drivers door speaker as per factory.. I thought it was quite a nice car.

actually no. nissan has agreements with suppliers of maps world wide - ZENRIN - US market. Xenavi - Japan market, Siemens/VDO - Oz market. been down this path already and I donated a siemens disc quite a while ago. have a quick dig on this. it has been covered already.
