  1. I'm going to talk to him tomorrow - I'll find out.
  2. its the dealer fitted alarm enable/disable switch. I remove them at compliance after having SEVERAL F'UP and strand the car. with it enabled it drops a CAN line to the ECU and the car does not go. great idea absolutely crap fitting. they are all put in with scotch locks and most are loose. if you have the ability remove it. you should also have the ultrasonics on the dash and a battery backed siren behind the glove box. as a bonus most of them controlled the mirrors on reverse. (they dip down.)
  3. ok - if you were QLD based I was going to tell you to come see me. I would find a autoelec used to working on BMW/benz as those cars sort of follow your rules. the idea on what I have said is to switch current off the battery supply rather than the acutal lights. you use the lights to trip the relays.
  4. I get a lot of turned heads when I'm driving a V35 around. I get kids racing me when I drive 33's old guys waving me when I'm dring a 34. mostly drive 35s around now.
  5. probably not. if they did as you said then I would find another one. where are you?
  6. take it up with deloitte. I lost a $50k contract over this. (if you think you are hard done by..)
  7. I dont know of any up here (apart from bruce gearing) that are doing them due to cost. 2nd the dollar drop- I'm feeling it with the bits that I bring in from tokyo.
  8. to my knowledge its game over. thats according to my regular contact inside that company. I was a dealer for them.
  9. some modules do one at a time some do all at a time. in your case -no.
  10. looking at this he's the only one listed. http://raws.dotars.gov.au/rawswebpublic/RA...rch.asp#results
  11. yep - relays! use one of every circuit and tie the other side to +12 via a 10A fuse. the car runs on a limited supply as the lights are LEDs.
  12. I need to go see him. he does a few other cars as well. that means he has a test car lying around somewhere.
  13. that looks about right to me the neons alone take 2-3 hours at best. the audio side of it is fairly involved. the front/rear speakers will need work to make them fit. amps - depends on how they are done for me I would mount them on a panel time wise its a full day job at a minimum.
  14. show me the unit. if its the one I think it is I have a spare transport here.
  15. will do. I'm dropping a car back there in the morn so I'll look at it then. PM me the Chassis # of it pls. the radio can be done at teh same time. do you have a dash shot of this car?
  16. nah he'll see it. I'm faced with a MUCH bigger problem than you. I have a city fleet running this system..
  17. see above.
  18. that you tony?
  19. ok thats another stagea that I have to do there... (I do carmens electrical compliance work ) top fellow. check out the two legnums whilst you are there. I've had my hands in both of those and they have naviagtion on them
  20. autoelec won't have a clue! what is the make/model of the OE radio. should be a clarion of sorts.
  21. I knew about this two days back. I got a call from brisbane city council about it. looking at go finder now.
  22. tom, I'll dig back through my notes. there's one that has the backdoor codes listed for several of the modules. I found one that does rekeying via K line and serial as well. use NATS 5 as the key for google. it involves a bit of circuity to make it work.
  23. its probably there. click back a page or two.
  24. there's a few of these things flaoting around. the russians have several versions as well. most of them have a promise of sorts. all cost $$. Free is good in my books. there are a few back doors into these BCMs . google will locate these.
