hehe Tony, ur probably running the Winmax Sports pads that BEL is selling right now - $190 incl fitting according to website, awesome value. fei chai's endless VN8500 on his S15 cost $190 pads alone last time, and that only goes up to 300 deg! i find that my old faithful Endless SSS doesn't squeal until after a trackday. Endless NA-R squeals full time, very loudly... but so awesome on track next year i'll try CC-X or something hehehe.

sounds like Ben is a good name for a tuner lol... drop Ben from BEL Garage a message, www.belgarage.com.au road tune for part throttle mapping + response, dyno to clean up top end, won't let anyone else tune my car

R32 - braided brake lines question
mist replied to CerealKiller's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
now i remember, Project Mu lines are cheaper than Endless.. so whatever I paid was including fitting. Didn't buy the lines from musecret nor did I get them to fit them, got them from another workshop in Sydney. -
off topic, but remember to budget for (if u haven't already got them): injectors, upgraded fuel pump, and preferably an aftermarket ECU as well as labour + tuning

R32 - braided brake lines question

i'm using Project Mu lines, no problems with them. Look nice too, in Project Mu green hehehhe. Endless/Project Mu, $500 + from memory -
loves to flutter as in ur turbo is suffering reversion? that isn't good.... ?
-
the quality of the solenoid used by APEXi in the AVC-R is very high... I'm using a URAS/Blitz SBC iD D1 Ltd Ed. myself, and it's very stable once you've set it up properly, but I still prefer the A'PEXi unit. have heard good things bout the HKS unit but haven't used it so can't comment.
-
AVC-R is already one of the most stable on the market. I wouldn't worry bout such a small amount...

no idea mate, i have not bought them in Australia b4. I used to run P-Zeros overseas in Malaysia. But looking at the Pirelli website, for that size, u'll be needing the P-Zero Asimmetrico tyres. Melb dealer is Bob Jane (03) 9329 6311 according to the page. well, i was running the D01J for a long time, so when I went back to street tyres with the RT215, my car felt so smooth and quiet !! don't really notice the tyre noise, but a friend reckons they're a bit noisy - he's using the Falken ST115. Wear wise, seems alright so far after 4 trackdays. First time I'm using the RT215, so can't comment on overall life, etc.
-
Pirelli P-Zeros are very good. If you can afford them, they're pretty much the best all-rounder. Have driven them hard extensively, and they have very good grip in both dry and wet, excellent braking performance, and when they slide, they do so very progressively. my 2c
-
errr, okay, ur needs are exactly opposite of mine! hahaha i used to run Dunlop Formula-R D01J, now running RT215. They're both track tyres, tho the RT215 is still a street compound, not 'R' rubber. if ur gonna set aside a set of rims just for drags, and u still want to be listed under street compound, try Nittos? I think thats what some ppl use, tho I know nuts about drags

225s on the stock 6.5" wide rim will probably give you lots of sidewall flex & understeer me thinks i used to run 225s on my R32 GTR 8" wide rims, now running 215s (stretched over the rim Jap drift style, much more positive turn in/feedback).

Best value brake upgrade for GTS-t
mist replied to B-Man's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Hey Brendan, My setup: Front: R32 GT-R calipers (for bigger disc size + also angled cooling vents - R33 GTST rotors are about the same size, but with non-angled vents) Endless NA-R brake pads Endless/Zeal Straight6 Rotors Endless RF650 Racing Fluid Project Mu brake lines Rear: R32 GTST std rear calipers Endless NA-R brake pads Handles heavy braking @ Wakefield + Eastern Creek all day long (60-80 laps at wakefield!). Car has HKSGT2530 turbo running 1-1.2bar & PFC, so carries decent speed into braking zones, and I brake pretty hard. My opinion: Unless you're doing supersprints, racing all the time, etc., - overlook the AP/etc calipers, and spend the $$ instead on high quality brake pads both front and rear, discs, brake lines and brake fluid. -
the crazy TODA 2 litre Type-R that was at REXNET's recent wakefield trackday was using the WINMAX brakes. Ran all day without fade - lap times were ~ 1min 11.5 sec - very quick for NA car, and very heavy braking. Type-R is lighter, but with a temp range up to 600+ deg, I don't think it'll be a problem for skylines. I ran Endless SSS for all of last year, 0-530 deg on my R32 GTST. Lasted almost 10 trackdays (8 wakefield, 2 EC) and I still have around 40% left. Believe me, I brake pretty hard, so if the SSS can take it, I think the pads ur talking bout should be good, with extra temp margin too.

give BEL Garage a call, if I remember correctly they have some SARD regulators in stock for less than that. tell them KJ sent ya heheh. 02 9763 7022 or www.belgarage.com.au anyway, in my own experience, SARD regulator + std injectors + R33 GTR VSpec fuel pump with std turbo on RB20 - after extensive tuning with AP PFC, std injectors were maxed out, had to run higher pressure via regulator. Don't like doing that, and with recent turbo upgrade, bought a set of 550cc injectors. had to buy the GTR resistor pack too, as PFC requires std impedence. Couldn't be bothered waiting for parts to arrive locally, paid almost $1.4k locally - not that bad for local price actually. Ah well, bizs have to make money, and I couldn't wait

JUN Sump Baffles **NEW**
mist replied to Merli's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
hey andrew, i've asked around b4 but never got a sure reply - are these baffles only suited to the RB26 sump? i'm thinking probably, as they're diff shape aren't they? - 4WD: front driveshafts going through the sump? if they somehow fit RB RWD sump, let me know -
tall people with R32's - sign in!

i'm about 6' - 6'1" R32 GTS-T, no sunroof. I sit pretty upright, had no trouble with stock seats. probably due to lack of sunroof. I have a R33 GT-R driver's seat now, and I fit in the car perfect with helmet on and 4 point racing harness sitting very upright for circuit. may sell the seat soon tho, thinking of going for a full bucket if my bro gets a car (hence my car won't be a daily driver anymore)..
