  1. ... I can't believe they banned Paul? He contributes alot more he takes... Who do we contact to get him back on? Who want's him back? Justin.
  2. I'd love to see that magic trick... actually I'd like to see that magic trick in reverse! ha ha ha Alloy is cheaper than beer... I cant wait to see the intake... If it works out well, I'm totally going to plagerise... ha ha J.
  3. I'm glad to see your looking after your car and not just throwing go fast parts at it like -ALOT- off 33 owners. Is the BMC filer a dry filter or an oiled filter? If it's oiled, take it out and re-clean your AFM. Just check your AFM plug for corrosion, also check the AFM wiring harness- checking for cracked/split or stretched wires. Borrow a fuel pressure guage and mount it to the outside of your windscrean so your passenger can see it, then go for a drive... you have to watch to see if it dips to low on accel. If it dose, ask your alarm place to re-wire the power supply for the alarm... or take it out. Good luck buddy Cheers Justin
  4. Ha ha ha... I would. Especially while you have it out still.. It should be a fairly simple modification, just get the flange re-welded back on by a competant welder/fabricator as the manifold gets very hot and turbulant right there... a poor weld will fail quite quickly. Bump- Crunch- Woops... Cheers Justin
  5. wif??? oh with... To understand why you cant use a z32 Air Flow Meter WITH the factory tuned ecu, you will need several things: -Basic understanding on how a modern engine managment system works -Basic understanding of how a hotwire air flow meter works -Basic understanding of the relationship between the two My suggestion is to get some education on the subjects above. All the info you need is well covered with in these hallowed forum walls OR you can find plenty of BOOKS (those thick paper things) written on the subjects. Cheers Justin

  7. Yeah that was my BAD... all the other Weldon pumps are rated for gasoline-meth/nitro mix and anyhting inbetween... just not the inline pumps as it seems. Try this pump on for size: http://www.weldonracing.com/product/19-6/D..._Outlet%29.html http://www.weldonracing.com/product/19-6/D..._Outlet%29.html -They're not cheap, but either is leaning out and engine and killing it. Weldon are considered one of the best pumps in the world. http://aeromotiveinc.com/products-page/fue...ator-fuel-pump/ http://www.sx-performance.com/18207INS%20%201824270711-1.pdf http://www.magnafuel.com/products/efi/pumps/MP-4301.htm I know of two well built (expensive) engines that have leaned out and gone boom using 2x 044's, because the failing pump was very hard to diagnose... One of the setups the failing pump locked up and started bleading fuel back from the high pressure side to the low pressure side... If you do go twin pumps, install a non return valve on the suction side of each pump. I'm not totally against twin pumps, but for the cost for 2 pumps and the additional plumbing hardware, you can buy a single pump and keep the whole thing simpler/more reliabale. Australia seems to have a love affair with 044's??? My advice Matt is to ask your tuner/builder- at the end of the day, this is an internet forum and not exactily the word of god. Cheers Justin
  8. Hey Toff... Been good mate- buisy, soaking up the rum, sun and fun here in the caribean and the medditeranian and Alaska and Bahammas.... hahahah... I'm a superyacht engineer, so rich guys pay me to fix they're toys... 180ft boats, cars and the odd helicopter (well I just help out with the aircraft). It's cool, but it's still a job: I miss my car though... So I'll probably be comming back in 8-10 months. My going away party was killer- so maybe a comming back bash is in order??? yeah I had to watch the video clip 3 or 4 times to make shure it was him... I'll more than likely run e85 in the big girl... Just got my Injector Dynamics ID2000 injectors wooohooo!!! I used to buy barrells of 98 when you couldn't buy it out of the pump, e85 will be the same. Cheers Justin
  9. ha ha ha ha.... amen
  10. 400rwkw is about the safe limmit for a single 044- depending how much torque your puting down... I would go with an aftermarket pump, rated for e85 and with a higher flow rate... like an aeromotive A1000? Or a Weldon inline 1100 http://www.weldonracing.com/products/Produ...line+Pumps.html . I don't like twin pumps... J.
  11. Ha ha ha it took 6 or 7 years to get 98.... Probably going to take 10 to get E85!!! That was kutzie.... ha, interesting. Weeell little Nicky is awsome, so I should expect nothing less.... I cant wait to get back and give that dyno a good work out. Cheers J.
  12. I love that shape celica... I used to have an '83 celica hach back, with a dealership fitted tubo kit... so awsomely old skool kool!!! it was laggy as hell, but once the old T3 came on to boost, it was like weeeeee!!!! and hang on! Draw through carbie, 2lt OHC and a nasty T3... It was my first car AND it got me addicted to boost. GL J.
  13. My dyno sheet is too skinny.... bboooohoooo waaaa snif snif snif.
  14. A whole nismo catalogue of parts- dose not make "good suspension" especially not for drag racing... If that's your knowledge level, expect 13-14 sec 1/4 mile times. Oh and "wide as f**k rims" are what 10 inches??? 12 maybe? Bahahahahaha! And destroys the pretty carbon parts and super custom awsome go fast paint job.... yet again Bahahahahahahah! Shure dose... who cares how fast a dyno queen goes.... GTR= Win GTT dyno queen- Fail GTT well set up and manual- Close second, higher trap speed. J.
  15. My bone stock rb26 with T517Z's and supporting mods made just shy of 400rwkw.... I drag raced (add 50hp of N20 for the track)- ran mid 10's for 2 seasons and daily drove/thrashed that combo for 2 years. The only reason it broke was my fault (too much boost- wrong fuel). Don't get too carried away with numbers and parts. Find a good builder/tuner and trust they're advice. Cheers Justin
  16. Hey Guys, Is there anymore footage of the night? Was that Kutzie on the right hand side??? Cool run... Nick's done an awsome job with the dyno cell!!!!!!! Is anyone racing they're 1/2 megawatt GTR's??? Ha ha ha...... Are there any servo's with E85 around Hobart yet? Cheers Justin
  17. I have driven a GTR with a stock box and an Ikeya shifter... It was horrible. We spent hours trying to adjust the thing.... The same car ended up getting a dog box... The shifter worked better on the dog box, but it would jam and slam all the time- your dogs will wear out faster. I have the helical cut PPG box, there is no way I'd ever put an Ikeya sequential shifter on it. There is no feel or timing using the shifter- it's hard to explain. J.
  18. Hey guys, I live and work on private superyachts, so I spend a fair amount of time in the US- mostly south Florida. The new camaro's are everywhere! There are alot that get modified from the factory/dealership too.... actually they're getting to be almost too common on the streets. They're cheap 2nd hand too, a buddy of mine just bought one for 25k with rims and exhaust/intake/re-tune. Next time I go past a chev dealership I try and take a photo- they litterally have 20 or 30 new camaro's sitting in a row, all wearing different paint and body styling. why dose it cost so much to get them converted? Also, there are roumors of guys in South Africa getting factory right hand drive mustangs and camaro's as a special order... Somthing to look into? Cheers J.
  19. I'm in for a clutch line deal... especially if it's a super awsome hugemungus DEAL!
  20. Has anyone used the "powered by max/gtfactory" super steering angle kit on a 32 gtst? http://www.gtfactory.jp/cms/page.php?15 J.
  21. Honestly, if you want to invest 30 or 40 years into one box... Snap On is hard to go past. I've worked on alot of superyachts... the only tool boxes that hold up and still work perfectly are the snap on boxes/draws. A constantly moving/ harsh marine enviroment is hard on any equipment. J.
  22. A correctly built OS box should be nice and smooth... Yeah they are rated at 1200hp with a 9k rpm shift limmitation- OS recomends 800hp The input shaft is the splined shaft sticking out of the front of the gearbox. It transfers the rotational torque from the motor/clutch to the main shaft in the gearbox. These are a "weak" link for high hp GTR's. Unless your planning to run 400rwkw or more- it's not needed. The OS gearsets are designed for the later r33 GTR box. J.
  23. There are auto elec workshops around that you can send your wiring looms to and they will patch them together, then label them. It's about $600 from memory... look through zoom and hpi mags for the contact details. Whatever you budget for the conversion... double it. Also, while it's out- have the bottomend inspected and throw in a crank collar and oil pump. If your going to swap the turbo's, do it now too. J.
  24. Take it to a decent workshop. J.
