  1. well you know that lovely feeling when your seeds cop one...the one that travels up your groin towards your hip...i had that for 3 days solid...morphine tablets were my best friend. All good now...im only on 3 types of medication now including 6 hourly double doses of Panadine Forte. Im able to properly stand and walk not looking like someone has clouted me in the jewels.
  2. i left home last night for the 1st time since monday...did i dash to the dyno to get graphs....no i went to church with my daughter.
  3. Look they are both nuggets that empty my wallet, keep me busy, make me drink a lot, force me to spend less time with my family, make me loose hair, made my nuts twist in their sack etc...etc... Some like pepsi...others like coke... some like racing cars...others like stacking pallets... who cares...pick an engine and love it, flog it to death, have some fun and scare the sh1t out of your mates with it. I love the RB engine from RB20 to RB30... My engine will out torque nearly all RB30's ive encountered and matched the ultimate torque engine RB29 from racepace in all but the very low rev range and was all over it in the midrange where it really counts. Even the RB25 i just built for NYTSKY matched torque figures with a 400KW 2JZ...its not what you build but how you build it. Just because you use a bigger bottom end does not save it from being a bucket of sh1t. Wait till i get into the RB30's...ill have a few surprises im sure.
  4. SK made a lot of claims during his time here...many of which were proven by myself and others on here to be total fiction. This is why he no longer shows his face here in SAU but has moved on to easier 'fodder' on other forums. Speak to Heasmans about what you require or ask some of the experienced suspension modifiers on here of what you require.
  5. i said increased capacity...i dont see anywhere where i mentioned robbing the trusty forklift of its power. im building a 30 though...its gonna be big...its going in a VT Commodore wagon. nice one silver fox...ill pay that for sure
  6. cause i build my own and have my own machine shop...$19000 is just parts! But to be fair to Robbie...that was when $1 bought 100Yen. Same build would now be very expensive...if you care to look back a page or two i actually admitted i was wrong...which is a bit of a rarity on here for people to do even when they know they are wrong. When you look at it in today's money $19000NZD is about right. Also it takes more than 1 build to develop a car to sub 10 times...im on my 3rd engine now to shoot for 8's, my 3rd turbo set-up, my 3rd different type of gearbox, my 4th type of clutch, my 2nd type of diff...shall i stop now? You dont just tick all the boxes in the parts catalogue, bang it all together and go and run the numbers...it just doesn't happen that easy...i wish it did.
  7. There is more to this story though....the T04z was tuned to make every single KW...13.0:1 at 24deg GT-RS's were using a run in tune... 11.5:1 at 18deg. Engines using STD cranks...87mm forged pistons...similar head porting and camshaft profiles (circuit 280deg drag 288deg)...both z32 power fc cars using blitz boost controllers.
  8. we overlayed our circuit cars dyno chart with both power and torque against the GT-RS's on the drag car and you would swear it was the same car. The low mounts at 22psi and the T04Z at 24psi...same power but the low-mounts power was made a little earlier and held on for longer...same with the torque...both are HKS powered cars but the circuit car was on Sunoco and the drag car was on BP98.
  9. your going to touch 'it'...thats par for the course anyway Doof. we wouldn't have expected anything less.
  10. id prefer my low-mounts over a single anyday as well...but low-mounts restrict top-end power needed to run the times im after. When i achieve what im gunning for im not ruling out going back to the GT-RS's and even a larger capacity bottom end...did i just type that?...a larger capacity bottom end...yes i did...the Mark Berry low-mount record is in some danger when i get the low-mounts back on. Im building up the engine for it now so it may be a simple engine swap and im away. Leaving the high mount set-up there if i feel the need to go back to it. Ahh the luxury of being able to build your own race engines is a good one.
  11. keen for a cruise this weekend bakes?
  12. good to see someone at least waiting to see if the car will at least run a 9 before putting rh9 plates on...lol

  20. We have them here in Newcastle too...all walking around in groups at night intimidating people who are usually on their own or in a smaller group. They all think they are 50cent. But honestly i dont even think they are 2bob.

  23. yeah thats a bit better...lol I just think the only time i feel comfortable being called champ is by the old fella's at the RSL club.
  24. GTR bov's are some of the best ever made...replacing these with anything would be a downgrade in my opinion.
