  1. well done mate...now, as the Silver Fox said in the previous post...keep the bloody thing.
  2. Have closer look at this picture.
  3. some more... cams are in backing plate and Tomei vernier cam gears starting to look the part new idler and tensioner complete with new stud and bolt. cam belt on...keen eyes will notice the finish on the inlet ports (it didn't come up real well in the 1st lot of shots) The sump is off to the fabricator for some enlargement...once its back i can seal it, crate it up and send it off.
  4. it wasn't an earthquake...Ash just dropped his little black book. hehe
  5. The car is entered for Compak Attak next Sunday at WSID. Setting up suspension tomorrow as its still set-up for circuit as our circuit car borrowed all the suspension for Superlap last year. Ride height needs to be raised and camber, castor and toe settings need to be changed. Mark will be flying down next Friday night to tune it in Sydney on Saturday and ive ordered a special brew for the tuning at $13.25 a litre it sure is pricey as its leaded it cops a heavy carbon tax. Ouch. He's confident of an output around 850+whp without too much trouble. 9.44 is the target ET. but if i leave the track with a PB thats a success as far as im concerned as i havent raced the car for 11 months and will have 200whp more. It sure will be a handfull.
  6. are you trying to run an old tune on previous firmware? I believe if you update the firmware you must open a new tune file and copy and paste the numbers over. It should then log ok then.
  7. A twin entry cooler is actually more effective than a single due to a more even distribution over the core. My car still uses a twin entry with a single and CRD's 8 second drag car that went to India used a twin entry with a single from the get-go for the same reason as stated above. Both cars use the Trust core...the best! I have the twin pipes in aluminum that join up to the HKS twin turbo piping kit to suit this cooler if it helps anyone. They were professionally done by Hypertune in Sydney.
  8. 2 great posts in a row...the silver fox is on fire.
  9. Got me...nice one. Lets move on eh?
  10. yeah your sig looks like you really are willing to let it go. if you have a problem respond to my PM like an adult...your childish jibes on here are ruining a good thread.
  11. Hey Marko, its only 1 person...the rest of it is just friendly banter. Ive sent the fella a PM to see what the 'beef' is but unfortunately no reply. Like i said to him...you cant be friends with everyone, but if i piss off a handful helping a hundred im miles in front.
  12. that resembles a similar race at Powercruise a few years ago...Twoogle vs 2rismo.
  13. A good head job is always the most satisfying way to 'blow' your cash. PM me a price on the 280's Aaron...i might take them. Thats an unfair advantage Guilt-Tripper...you tuned it!
  14. Robbie i see you are smart enough to not post pics on here...wise move. Protecting your engineering by not disclosing exactly how you do it and seeing potential faults and pointing them in the right direction but not telling them exactly whats going on is a smart move. Investing time and effort developing your product to a world leading standard takes a whole wad of cash...handing that R&D over is not going to happen easily. Well Done.
  15. ill post some more progress pics up tonight.
  16. The Mickey's wont handle the dyno...they will shred rubber like a black hailstorm behind the car...ive seen it 1st hand with my car.
  17. All the best for the upcoming series Dunc's good luck
  18. Trust 'drag' grommet type head gasket...these are now discontinued and if you can get hold of them they command big $$ head gasket fitted. she's on and JUN cam cap studs fitted reliefs machined for cam lobe clearance
  19. time to kickstart this thread again... the head...this thing has been a painstaking effort almost 60 hours alone invested here...but it was worth it...its the best head we have produced to date. Its actually better than the one in my car. exhaust port work...all hand finished and swirled. inlets...apoligies for the poor camera work guys bottom end must have been wondering if it was ever going to see any head!...head studs in.
  20. the topic title and the statement above is ass about. the OS Giken kit is pull to push conversion. If your bellhousing has the bosses cast into it for a push you can convert it using the genuine Nissan parts...thats what i did...just drilled and tapped the bosses and bought the required parts to convert it.
  21. My financial situation is always in a crisis...i own a GTR. So the current situation is no different to the way its been since i purchased the car in 2001.
  22. hey leave the VG30 brigade out of this...you will have Johnny P in here soon asking "did someone say boat?"
  23. Meth, auto, lightweight, slicks...id say it will be an 8 off the trailer.
