  1. I don't get it. I slip-stream them from the start and sling shot past them, I then stay on the race line but they never catch up to me. When they start getting close it's usually leading into one of the corners and then the poofs back off !! It's really starting to pi$$ me off. I really think they should have a road rage version of GT4 where ( in this case ) you can run the other Skylines in the pack off the road if they don't drive fast enough and then drag the driver out of the car and stomp on his / her head until you feel better. Or just combine GT4 with GTA San Andres and while you're racing you can mow the mo-fo down with a hail o 9mm's.
  2. I'd rather get rid of the lot but if I don't have any joy in the next couple of days, I'll get back to you and work something out.
  3. FOR SYDNEY COLLECTION ONLY THANKS. Got the following 4 tyres for sale. 1 x Pair of 235/45/17 FALKEN ZE512 tyres Very minor inner camber wear ( less than 1mm ) but otherwise about 90% tread remaining. 1 x Pair of 255/40/17 FALKEN ZE512 tyres Even wear across the tyres with about 90% remaining. There is nothing wrong with any of these directional tyres. Had these on my car but they did not offer enough rim protection for my liking on 17x8" & 17x9" rims so I replaced them. Price: $450.00 for the lot ( New purchase price was about $860.00 ( Still have receipt )) I'm in Sutherland. PM if interested or call Ph. 0414-862-626
  4. Cudos !! It's a great feeling ( I know ) but a word of advice from someone who's been there, now that everyone ( that includes the *##holes ) knows your car and what's in it, it becomes even more of a target for theft so be extra carefull.
  5. Sweeeeeet !
  6. Glad to hear I'm not the only one having trouble with this one !! It's been driving me around the bend :hellpisd: ( no pun intended ). The best I was able to do was 1.14 sec off the lead car by slip-streaming the pack & sling shotting past at max speed and then running the inner line of the track as smooth as possible until the very last bend & trying to slip-stream the lead car. But as yet ( after about 30 tries ) no joy
  7. I think we "might" be best to see what ed has found out as I just had a look at the Rays wheel Nuts on Greenline and for the longer nuts ( the ones I'm after ) I calculated the cost to be 210.72 ( 17,140 Yen ) PLUS shipping etc. I know that the Rays ones are different since they are 7 sided nuts and not 6 sided like normal / the ones we will be getting. But after saying all that, if this group buy doesn't work out, I'm very interested in a group deal on the Rays nuts if the price is right
  8. Just slapped a set of TOYO TPG's on and so far so good And they look pretty good too in my opinion
  9. That is such a cool thing !!!! ( no pun intended ). Went for a belt on the weekend with both windows down and this little trick activated and my feet were nice and warm while the cold air is in my face.
  10. ed, any updates ?
  11. You might want to try www.discpads.com.au ( I think that's it ). Last time I looked they were decently priced and they are delivered to your door
  12. Those of us with a mortgage and a crappy job I can actually remember the days when if you had 16x8" wheels you were way cool !! :kewl:
  13. Thanks for the feedback on the TPG's Well after an exhausting amount of research, I've come up with the following prices for the sizes I need that I thought I'd share with y'all. TOYO TPG 235/45/17 $189ea 255/40/17 $318ea TOYO T1R 235/45/17 $289ea 255/40/17 $325ea YOKOHAMA V102 235/45/17 $308ea 255/40/17 $370ea FALKEN RT215 235/45/17 $250ea 255/40/17 $280ea KUMHO KU21 235/45/17 $205ea 255/40/17 $245ea GOODYEAR RS-02 235/45/17 $270ea 255/40/17 $389ea CONTINENTAL Sport Contact 2 235/45/17 $307ea 255/40/17 $457ea FALKEN FK451 245/45/17 $250ea 265/40/17 $320ea If you have any better ( recent & genuine ) prices I'd love to hear about em
  14. Yeah that's typical of RB20 gearbox's. Suggest draining the oil and checking for any out-of-the-ordinary metal and if all is OK, filler up with Redline Shockproof Oil and forget about it. With these box's the noisy parts are the revers idler gear and moreso the input shaft bearing. If you use the Redline Oil and treat em with some respect they can last a VERY long time ( with the noise ).
  15. I had a similar thing happen in my HR31 when I fitted the exhaust. I would suggest checking the spark plugs and if OK, reduce the gaps to 0.9mm and while you're there, check the condition of the coil packs very carefully ( replace as required ) . Then check your boost pressure, base timing and AFR's if possible. Hope that helps / works.
  16. ed, Just a thought. You might want make the maximum torque value "bold" on the original post so you are less likely to get people stripping the nuts and complaining. I know many people who believe that wheel nuts are not tight unless you stand on the end of your breaker bar and socket. No Joke !! And just for info sake, 120Nm = 88.5 lbf-ft ( foot pound ) for non-metric idiots like me.
  17. Just out of curiosity, have you ( or anyone else ) tried the Toyo TPG's ? I'm sure the T1-R's are a better tyre but I'm wondering if the TPG's would last longer ( even at the expense of lesser traction ). I do too much commuting to wear down a set of really good tires for no good reason. Otherwise I would fit a set of Falken AZENIS RT215's since I've found an awesome price for them at $1,060 fitted and balanced (F) 235/45/17 and ® 255/40/17.
  18. These are what I wanted to get but they don't have all the sizes they advertise Wanted 265/40/17's on the back to protect the rims a bit better as the 255/40/17's look a bit narrow on 9" wide rims. BTW prices I was quoted were 245/45/17 = $296ea & 265/40/17 = $374ea ( even though they didn't have them ). Do those prices sound about right ?
  19. Yeh, Great news B.T.W. I just saw almost the exact same wheel nuts on NENGUN for something like $230 per set delivered to Aus. I like $110 much better :uh-huh:
  20. Almost everyone I know with a HCR32 has removed their retractable spoiler and put it in the back of the garage as it weighs quite a bit and the benefits are minimal. On HR31's the flip-down spoiler actually worked quite well but on HCR32's it's a waste in my opinion.
  21. HOLY CRAP !! $250 for 205/16's ?!?!?! Is it just me or is that a lot of $'s for a little hoop ?!?! So what would I be looking at for 255/40/17's ( I think the ones I'm looking at are Ecsta MX KU15 ) ? At the moment I'm on Falken ZE512's that cost $250ea for 255/40/17 and $150ea for 235/45/17.
  22. ed, Did I read somewhere in here that these nut's take a socket size of 19mm as opposed to the 21mm Nissan nut ? If so, and I'm not too late, I'll go a Nissan set in Black. Cheers. Just a thought..... If 5 orders gets us a group buy price of $120, then do we get a better price for 10 orders ?? :uh-huh:
  23. Re the Kumho Ecsta's........ OK so most everyone thinks that they're sh!t but in what way ? And what version ? 711, 712 etc ? I guess I'm asking are they OK for cruising and the ocasional belt down Putty Rd ?
  24. Mmmm....Chunky :aroused: ( Hate to see what they cost........ :uhh: )
  25. I had R32 GT-R rims on my R32 GTS-T with 225/50/16's and they fitted great. ( I then got my gaurds rolled and now have 17 x 8 front with 235/45/17 fitted and 17 x 9 back with 255/40/17 fitted and she looks very fat indeed ).
