  1. forget everything that has been suggested so far and speck to Andrew from AM Performance, He is based in Adelaide (workshop is near port Adelaide) and the quality of his work is far far better then many workshops in andelaide, Andrew did my R32 and i asked for a split dump and a nice sounding exhaust and he delivered a quality product that blew me away! enough talk... pics speak a 1000 words Andrew [email protected] Ph: 0401 865 373
  2. what about a RB20 gear ewill that fit on the intake cam?
  3. they are the same flywheel, you can even use an RB30E flywheel on there. clutches are all the same size also. Im also 99.9% sure that a r32 GTR flywheel will also fit. no need to redrill
  4. why? i have used expensive oils and the cheaper Penrite limslip oil,ive found that the Penrite oil makes the diff's quieter, has a larger load rating (140 as opposed to 90w) and whats more its a 1/4 of the price of more expensive shit!! if you enjoy blowing your cash on expensive oil cause it helps you sleep at night then go for it but theres nothing wrong with the cheaper alternative. plus ive been using it for 5 years in all my drift cars, NEVER had diff probs.
  5. bump, yes or no is all i need to know
  6. as cubes said, no cat, and japanese tunes leave a lot to be desired
  7. your only half right. its normal for stock turbocharged cars with mild mods and stock ecu to blow black smoke. however a modded car with a decent tuned ecu shouldnt blow excessive black smoke.
  8. the solution is to modify the Rb20 engine mounts (metal brackets) and cut them down some 20 mm then reweld them up, this will lower the engine to a more desirable height, however the sway bar will foul and the sump will be lower then the crossmember, so spacve the bar down and fit a bashplate and these issues are then nothing to worry about.
  9. if your interested in buying from japan can i suggest emailing Streeter (he normally trades on ns.com) far far more reliable and cheaper then neugun. his email address is [email protected] awesome reputation also so have no fear ordering from him
  10. so you went from 400 rwkw to 300 rwkw just by taking advice from those in the know.... wow some people do acctually listen! as for holding you own around the track, 400 rwkw doesnt mean you'll acctually do this... you'd more likely be whipped by a car with 250-300 rwkw and a responsive set up and able to put the power down better. more power doesnt always = faster....
  11. haha yes well, as i said the stock O2 sensors are nothing more then a cruise map lean out tool.... not the best for getting AFm readings from anything else other then that. if you want accuracy your going to have to fork out for a wideband
  12. Penrite Limslip 140w oil is what i have always used in the past for all my 2 ways, its around 25 bucks for 2.5L and works awesome, no additive needed
  13. 0.1 lean 0.9 rich a normal narrow band or 3 wire o2 sensor isnt capeable of much more.
  14. Will stock RB25 cam gears bolt straight onto RB26 cams? thats all i need to know
  15. hey guys I have been using this stuff in my rb25 ever since i made this thread... and its seems to be really good! oil temps are always around 85/90 degrees flat out on the track, i havent done an oil change for around 3-4 track days and the oil is still gold. for the price. i love it!
  16. crownwheel and pinions are always matched sets. just grab a SR s13 diff, they are 4.1
  17. i have always drained the oil via the bottom drain plug, then filled the oil according to volume listed in manual via the shifter hole, so much easier since we dont all have hoists with fluid pumps on hand
  18. seen a lot of competition drift thats for sure, now ive just gotta price up a rebuild kit for it
  19. stock gtst is 4.3, which i have and ive got no probs with holding 3rd or 4th with that, i i had even more torque again (like what you have planned) i would change my diff to a 4.1 3.9 isnt really needed, bugger all difference between a 4.1 and a 3.9 anyway and 3.9's are a lot harder to come by.
  20. i would say it would run like a sack of shit... wouldnt do any damage tho
  21. my 33 box has a filler plug the same design as the drain plug, need a 1/2 breaker for it.... maybe some have these and some have the other type
  22. broken like a mofo its a tomei traxx i have found out.... getting an LSD overhaul kit (which was the reason why i needed to know the brand/make of it)
  23. 1/2 inch ratchet or breaker bar is all you need mate
  24. 4.1 for you mate. a 4.3 will just rev out too quick with the power and torque you have, you'll be able to stay in a gear for longer with the 4.1
