how much boost you planning on running? 9.0:1 is stock CR and i personally would choose this to keep the off boost driveability. If your planning on running big boost then the 8.5's may be better
price is Dependant on size/offset...
pull a rim off the car and look at the back of it.. it should have the size (width) written in a number followed by jj offset should also be stamped on there. tyre size wont tell you a thing
yeah there is, the different runner lengths of the new plenumn may kill all downlow that the RB20 has.. so will feel more gutless offboost, while there will be no difference up top.
pick and choose wisely
cheers mate, by all means come over for a G1 comp! or even a prac event G1 is on in 15th of March at mallala i reckon, we could do with some more interstaters
first of all, why not ask all your questions in one thread, rather starting dozens of threads on a similar topic.
an rb26, properly rebuilt with good parts, will last a long time at 300 rwkw PROVIDED the tune is good.
bore size will depend a lot on the condition of your block. have you pulled the motor apart yet? your engine builder will be able to recommend which one to go for.
o2 sensor is not read at full load... its only used to lean out the cruise and idle maps.
Black smoke on full throttle is generally pretty normal... but the better the tune the less wasted fuel there is, if you have a stock ecu hitting rich and retard its going to do it something chronic
Ive got a 3071R with the GCG op6 casting rear housing... and its not laggy at all! spools at 2000 rpm and full boost just after 3000.. cant complain. and thats with a larger compressor housing compared to a highflow.
its all in the tune!
the half shafts will snap before the diff thats for sure. it seems that with anything 300 rwkw and over your walking a fine line with the stock sized halfshafts.
swap in GTR items along with a decent LSD
yup, sounds VERY much like a BHG.
its a largeish job, and the head will prob require machining. so possibly consider doing some performance mods at the same time to make the labor bill worth it.
umm yeah and im calling BS that too...
i've drifted on the track in the wet and the dry, i know which one wears tyres faster each and every time and it aint the wet
