  1. I've heard it's on the driver's side of the block, just above (or near) the oil filter...
  2. Two Nismo clutch plates would cost about $1100 + shipping from Japan... Judging from that clutch plate, (I assume there are two, and a centre plate as well) it's a NISMO Spec I clutch... Rated to 900kgf
  3. Oops, sorry mate... Didn't see the part about it not being your fault... I guess it got hidden amongst all those asterisks In that case, you shouldn't have to pay a cent, and they should pay for the repairs and chase up the other guy's insurance company for reimbursement... In some cases, they ask you to pay the excess first to get the ball rolling, and they will refund you the money after the Police report gets filed and you are cleared of any fault... It's a bother trying to find $2000, but it does speed up your repairs if you're 100% sure you won't be found at fault.
  4. Sounds about right. You should have known what your excess was when you signed your policy. If you didn't let that be a good lesson for you. Why would you want to make a claim if the repair is less than your excess?
  5. Absolutely. That's the whole point. To discuss with other owners what mods they've done, and to see the results. I take it you have never been to a Unigroup dyno day then? If you're sitting there for 2 hours, and only see 4 cars run, it gets very boring, very fast. Get the car on, run it, get it off, and you can chat to the owner outside whilst the next car is running. Performance Forum's dyno day at CRD was *EXCELLENT*... One of the best I have been to. There was a line of 2-3 cars waiting to go straight on, it took about 10-15 minutes per car (depending on power and the level of strapping/ballsat needed)... Run the car, get it off and people can go and chat with the owner when it's off... The car doesn't need to sit on the dyno for 30-40 minutes for you to chat with other owners about their car...
  6. Expenses? Bah... Don't feed your kids, they're overrated anyway
  7. You can always buy another two, but they won't be as cheap as these unfortunately
  8. Sure, I can make them fit............. Hmmm they seem a little big for the box... Let me just do a little burnout and wear off a bit of the tread
  9. These were my track rims, but the same tyre:
  10. I can find a pic for you... I used D01Js everyday on my R33 GTS-t... Awesome in the dry (obviously), but you have to take it easy in the wet, which shouldn't be a problem, because you should be driving slowly in the wet anyway... I didn't have any problems with them at all...
  11. I guess this just makes my point. Thank you. The idea of a dyno day isn't to "build a report" with potential customers, or to have a 30 minute chat to them about "what their car is doing"... Neither is it day where "making $ is the prime consideration". The idea of a dyno day is to run what you brung, and compare power figures of cars on the same dyno, on the same day. Get the car on the dyno, run it and get it off, so you don't wait around for 4 hours to see your car run. As for your suggestion of "go somewhere else", I shall take your advice if I ever organise a dyno day, and will pass on your sentiments to anyone else who may organise one. Thank you again.
  12. 2x 265/35/18 Forumla R Semi-Slicks BRAND NEW, Mounted on car, and trucked to car show and rolled around, then trucked back to workshop and removed because they were too big for rims. Normally $680 each, Asking $1100 for both.
  13. Maybe I can use it to make the little plastic fan on my air freshener spin faster...
  14. Apparently Nova is the worst company to work for. JET is much better, so search for them on the web. As for 2nd hand car parts, go look for stores called "Yellow Hat", "Up Garage", and "Crystal".... They sell heaps (and I mean HEAPS) of second hand performance parts for next to nothing.
  15. Whoops!!! Did I just bump this thread?
  16. Firstly, don't EVER listen to a word the salesman has to say. They generally don't know their balls from their moustache, and will say ANYTHING and EVERYTHING to try and get you to buy the car, truth or not. If you have any questions, ask us here, we'll give you the right answer. In simple terms, the BOV basically vents the air the turbo is pushing into the engine when you step off the gas. The throttle shuts, and the air usually has nowhere to go except back through the piping and hits the turbo, forcing the turbo to stop, and spin backwards. This is called reversion, and is detrimental to turbocharger's lifespan... The BOV is an outlet for the air to go, so it doesn't go back through the piping and hit the turbo. It's a good thing. The Intercooler is basically like a radiator for your intake air. Cooler air means denser air, which means more power and less chance of detonation. Again, this is a good thing.
  17. I'd suggest you do your research before randomly advertising your goods for sale. There are many types of NISMO LSDs available. Two main types are: SSS LSD, and Mechanical LSD. SSS LSD has two different types available for BNR32 and BCNR33: 2 Way LSD - 38420-RS205-E 1.5 Way LSD - 38420-RS207-E Both are 105,000 Yen. The NISMO Mechanical LSD, there are 4 types available for GTR: R200 LSD - BNR32 Start ~ 93/02 - 4.111 Ratio - 38420-RS500A R200 LSD - BNR32 93/02 ~ End - 4.111 Ratio - 38420-RS581A R200 LSD - BCNR33 - 4.111 Ratio - 38420-RS581A R200 LSD - BNR34 - 3.545 Ratio - 38420-RS581A All are 86,000 Yen. WHICH ONE DO YOU HAVE? The bill for my time is in the mail. Prompt payment is appreciated.
