I dont even use the std shims anymore, use project mu shims, its one shim and its coated in a rubber compound to absorb frequency (that causes squeal) The pads will probably wear in to contact the rotor surface, just give them a hard time. My turbo to manifold nuts came loose at track once, i tightened them up when hot and never had a prob since, no locking tabs or special nuts, no flex joints.
  7. Ive never had to have the rotors on my 33 machined, squealing brakes is not a sign that the rotors need to be machined...
  8. Use a lever under the old pad to push the pistons back. Pull out one pad so you have some room, it will allow the rotor to have small amount of movement as well
  9. Youll get better at it the more you do it, its a 30min job changing the front pads now for me, no special tools required... I find those types of tools just give chance to your caliper paint getting scratched and another tool to grab for the job...

  12. Some crappy dragway brand rim.. Good luck finding them to fit a skyline..... And actually look ok
  13. The hks kits come with all the vacuum line adapters etc... Depending on how you set it up you may not beed them all. Pics would help

  15. Wow, yes different car, dif injectors, different engine and possibly more differences. It will need a tune.. What made you think it wouldnt?

  19. Wow this thread makes it all sound like a headache.. I have a thermostat sandwich plate, oil cooler and defi oil temp and pressure gauges... I didnt have any hassles at all
