  1. Sounds like a rip off man, its non-turbo (so its less popular) and its the oldest of the r33's i can just picture is faded yellow headlights now... all that for $9,500 plus whatever timming belt costs you, so minimum you are looking at $10k to get this car. Save a little more and you are looking at turbo skyines..... worth the wait if you ask me! That car would be book value of $8k i would think, I would be getting third party, fire & theft... $5-600 approx for you i would think Because think about it, you get comprehensive, say you onw the car and you are into second year of ownership, and u write it off hevan forbid... So you will have paid 2 years of comp premiums.. $3k approx, plus then you have made a claim..$1.5k... so that $4.5k you have forked out on a car worth $8k.. does not make sense to me unless you are a nervous driver etc
  2. AAAAAAAAAAHHAHAHHAHAHA... Seriously man are u just bashing the keyboard and hoping it closely resembles correctly spelt English words??
  3. Can you post a link to it? Would make it a lot easier to give an opinion on it. And as mentioned above, dont even consider getting the auto and converting it to manual..... at the thought of it
  4. So you critisise us for having a go at his incomprehensible post and say we should give him advice on CARS as he asks..... But its okay for you to critisise us AND give him no advice on his CAR choice.....
  5. Track times bring in countless variables, the particular cars condition, the drivers skill, the tyres each car has and it goes on and on. What is fact is that the R32 GTR when new did 0-100km/h in 4.7 seconds and 0-400m in 13.0 seconds... Neither the R33 or R34 GTR can match that time! AND if you read the original post #1 in this thread it assumes the cars are as new from factory (which makes sense as its a level playing field)
  6. Could not disagree more, that is one of the primary reasons I personally would not consider the rex, I hate the sound of them boxers....
  7. + 1 .... haha, i have no fkn idea what the original post says...
  8. Is it illegal to accelerate to the speed limit of the road you are on as fast as your car will allow? Im sure it is, if not the good old 'reckless driving' law would cover it, yet car magazines all flaunt cars 0-100km/h times when really you can only ever do this on a track AND if maximum acceleration is not allowed then where is the line? 80% throttle? No break in traction? I spose the laws will be made to suit so that anyone that the Police want to fine/impound etc etc they can
  9. When the update is complete will we see when someone is online/offline as it showed previously in the same window as their avatar/information, etc?
  10. Tell your mate to shove this original brochure image up his arse, case closed...
  11. This is common in skylines, I think it is normal and not a problem.... Also, your car is not an M-Spec.... Its a Type M.... pet peeve sorry. As far as the faded headlights go, you could scrub till the sun goes down and they will never look clear like the lights on a SII r33, maybe some aftermarket headlights or r33 GTR lights will look a lot better... http://www.fizzautosports.com/lighting/lig..._headlamps.html The ones on that site (towards bottom of the page) look better but the price is crazy... im sure there are better options that are similar.
  12. http://www.redbookasiapacific.com/au/vehic...hp?key=NISS96FB But as mentioned you get what you pay for... and as far as mileage, most skylines' odometers are wound back, judge each car on how it runs, mechanical inspection not the number on the odometer
  13. BA Lights on a 33 are a disgrace also...... Its a Honda with well recognised Nissan Skyline lights, seriously why bother.... If you find that ok I guess its kool for me to put a Rolls Royce "Spirit of Ecstacy" statue on my bonnet yeah?? Hrmm that would look really kool and impress a lot of ppl......
  14. Yeah, cause the R32 GTR never proved itself on the track..........
  15. If you bought any GTR and did not do this you would have to be crazy.... ESPECIALLY a highly modified example.. imo
  16. He can't go to a wreckers and find some prelude tail lights?? Regardless, there is NO forgiving putting nissan skyline lights into a honda prelude....
  17. I thought the AE92's were all carby.. and the AE93 had the EFI ?
  18. Sorry to go off topic, but whatever, my Sister was considering an AE92 as her first car, which I am all for, I cant count the amount of ppl who praise the name of these corolla's. The only thing that I wasn't overly thrilled about was the fact that it has a carby.... is it worth spending a bit more for the AE93 to get fuel injection?? Any advice appreciated
  19. You serious? You dont know of the Mclaren F1.... until veyron the fastest production car ever made ??? tisk tisk I have always LOVED this machine of a car and still do This one had a number plate, only on the back, it was like mclrf1 or sumthin like that, cant member wat state the plates were even, hahah, i was wayy too focused on the car...yummm, gold plated engine components!!
  20. I found this outside and found it much more impressive than most of the cars inside
  21. Get the R32 4 Door.... gts-t obviously
  22. Yeah the 33 seems the most versatile choice... It is one of very few vehicles that is amphibious - A boat and car all in one!! You can’t beat that....
  23. Im confused, im sure im missing sumthin and look dumb, but whats the problem?
  24. I would discontinue the friendship if he proceeded to get them fitted.....
  25. I would not buy a hyundai personally, under any circumstanced even if it was the bargain of the century... Some of their new cars however are really comming up in quality/style.. i was quite impressed with the new sante fe at the motor show, but for your purposes, $1500 I wouldnt touch em
