OMG, you just dont get it do you. Cars that drift have to be well balanced and handle well as a start to be worth turning into a drifting car... and dynamically if you think a 4 DOOR SEDAN is equivelant to a 2 DOOR COUPE because the 4 door was the lightest of its kind then i dont know what else i can say to you....
-
I dont mean to be rude, but this topic has been done to absolute death, just about every gts-t is a type m. The primary difference is the 4 pot capilers front and 2 pot rear... the rest is interior but honestly is you search this topic you will see it has been covered endlessly. Also some ppl confuse type m with m-spec... completely different.
-
I see now, you were comparing a 4 door sedan r32 to a coupe r33. In my "opinion" thats is not a comparison that can be made and i think if you had a coupe with the suspension setup you mentioned: BC Racing adjustable coilovers Front and rear strut braces Nolathane front upper arm bushes Then it would be a very competent handling car. R32's are used for drifting but I have not seen on all the dvd's etc any r33's......
-
Your r32 must have been a sh*t example because i have driven at least 3 r32's with stock and/or modified suspension and i would never describe it as "sloppy". And as above, the quoted time for an r32 gts-t is 6.5 seconds not 7...
-
The dials in the instrument cluster are blue... if what you say above is true you need to have the VIN run through fast because i think you will find its not a late 92 model!!
-
I dont think that is a 1992 model It has "rb20" embossed on the head, blue dials and black smooth finish dash surround which are all on the first generation r32....
-
and i spose you think this is not true of r33's.... only 32's right?
-
"Kills" ..... I think that might be a bit of an exageration... no question the 33 stock is faster than the 32 stock but i wouldnt agree with the word "kills"
-
Hrmmm, im confused
-
Why exactly do you hate r32's so much? Im not a big fan of 33's but I respect all skylines and still appreciate the car for what it is. I chose an r32 because i prefered it NOT because i couldnt afford a 33, i didnt want a 33.... but whatever ppl that write things like you do dont listen to other ppl that disagree.

In Search Of The Right R32!
r32line replied to nissan_R32's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Ditto, when looking for mine, I would look on carsales week after week and most of the cars I would not even consider looking at or they were too expensive. If you are like me you will want a stock one that is less likely to have been driven to the sh*t, but its not easy. All I can say is be patient, the right one will come and you will know it is what you want! Best of luck and when you get it make sure you post up pics in the 'r32 pics only' thread in the photography section of this site.... -
I don’t think I agree with your analogy comparing a turbo to a condom... the turbo always entices you to go faster and rev out gears etc, once in spools the power is addictive... as far as the kilometers that each of the cars have done, with any r32 I wouldn’t trust the odometer as far as i could throw the car!! You can judge when looking at wear etc and how it drives the condition of the car because most of them are wound back unfortunately. But have a good look at both and check insurance and finance first and see how you go! Best of luck.....
-
Well after reading the two cars you are deciding between i have one question first off: Is the turbo skyline an N/A that someone has put a turbo on, or is it a gts-t cause this is not clear from your post. If it is one that someone has put a turbo on then personally i would not even consider it. To me it sounds like your decision is made for you, the turbo does not really seem financially viable for you, cause if you cant insure it then it is not an option. Driving uninsured is not acceptable because its not fair to everyone else on the road!! Also if your stretching that much just to buy it then you have no money left to fix inevitable issues and if you yourself think it may be too powerful for you then its not a good idea to get the turbo. If you can drive both and see how they are, i have never been in a non-turbo r32, i have been in a n/a 33 but that has the rb25 and it seemed to go fine, but i duno what the 32 is like. Maybe it is better to stick with what you have for now and get some more experience and save on more expensive insurance for a little while until you can deffinately get a car that you want and can insure etc. Thats my 2 cents anyway

93 Or 94 R32 Gtr....normal Vs Vspec Vs Vspec Ii
r32line replied to jeff's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
As above..... if it is a genuine 32 vspec II and its in good nik then without a moments consideration i would get it, that is one of my dream cars!!! -
Impressive lookin pics and car padey!!! where bouts are those locations? im guessing not victoria cause they dont look familiar to me....
-
Not sure if this is exactly what you are after, but i was recently in the Omori Factory in Tokyo and took these pictures:
-
the ferrari looks poo imo, but i dont mind the GTR proto and cant wait to see it on the road!
-
Fair enough, one is as bad as the other i guess, but regardless its a fishy smelling car!
-
Haha, well know this, dont buy that car...and i dont think the owner selling it knows much about skylines either, he has but it in as an 1994 r33, when it is clearly an r32....

Why Are R32 Gtst's So Overpriced?
r32line replied to R-SPEC's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hrmm, I think you have missed my point, but it doesn't matter... If you are happy with your car then thats all that matters..i was just giving my opinion as you were yours -
Im in japan at the moment and we happened to pass the omori factory and had to pay a visit of course... We walked into the garage entrance and first we saw an nismo r32 gtr s tune, next to which was an r33 gtr 400R, next to which was an r34 gtr ztune. We got to sit in it! Under the bonnet was the plate which showed it as being no. 1 of 20. This car by far is my dream car but its pretty much impossible to aquire even if I was loaded, but to see it and sit in it was an awesome experience and the keys were sitting in the ignition too haha, but they wouldnt start it!

Why Are R32 Gtst's So Overpriced?
r32line replied to R-SPEC's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
If you are not prepared to pay what people are asking for r32's then ofcourse you think they are overpriced.. but other people are paying those prices so it just seems they aren't a possiblilty for you.. r32's are not as common as 33's and some people like the history associated with the r32. Im in japan atm and i saw a car dealership's advert which had the following 2 cars which were both in original condition: R32 GTR Vspec II 10,000km 3,700,000 Yen $40,000 AUD (approx) R34 GTR Vspec 20,000km 4,200,000 Yen $46,000 AUD (approx) The r32 has a lot of respect here, my friend and I were talking to a guy who pulled up in a porcshe gt3 rs with volk rims (lol) and we were saying how nice his car was, then he asked what we drove and my mate told him about his r32 gtr and he asked if it was there cause he really wanted to see it, he says he loves the 32... that is why prices are higher than some people may think is resonable, because others will pay it! -
Led Dash Lights R32
r32line replied to zandi2000's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Hey man, they look pretty kool, but how difficult is getting the instrument cluster out and changing over the globes to LED's??
