  1. Deffinately !!!, I have heard from countless people about the bullet proof reliability of these things, some are a little expensive for their age on carsales, but look after them and they will go forever!! To me for around the $3 - $5k mark you cannot go past this car!
  2. Not as fast as a car that has had $15,000 spent on mods should be.... Regardless, putting the iconic NISSAN Skyline rear lights on a HONDA Prelude... UNFORGIVABLE And on second thought, it probably does a 1/4mile in like 4 seconds... V-TEC YO!
  3. In one of the pictures, the red one is having its front mount test fitted, but both have them connected and working.... Im sure that was money well spent.......
  4. Yeah, just like my car did 0-100km/h in 6.5seconds when new.... It still did 14years later when i bought it, stock....! And I assumed that the question was assuming the cars were as new, otherwise the comparison is very hard, but realistically, a well looked after/maintained R32 GTR should still do the factory acceleration times.
  5. People are not understanding, this is not an opinion, its about facts...which car is quicker... The R32 GTR when sold did 0-100km/h in 4.7seconds and 1/4 mile in 13.0seconds! That is quicker than an R33 GTR and an R34 GTR.... DISCUSSION OVER!!! And dont start talking about N1's etc etc because we are just comparing the base GTR's and 32 is fastest, GAME OVER!
  6. If you look at the original post, question 3 mentioned an R32 GTS - This car came with an RB20DE. The car you are talking about is the R32 GTS25... a different model. But I would expect that model is deffinately quicker than an R33 GTS but not sure about the R34.
  7. At what point does a car become "fast" then, by your definition?
  8. My r32 when i bought it was stock except for a 3" exhaust but only from the cat back... This exhaust was one of the worst I have ever seen, terrible drone and if anything was causing a loss in power, when i changed it down the track I noticed the difference straight away! Anyway, with that sh!tter of an exhaust I g'teched my car and ran 0-100km/h in 6.5 seconds. I personally dont consider that slow... but its all in perspective i guess.
  9. This is in complete contradiction to your original thread AND why can i no longer find that thread?
  10. "To safely and reliably accelerate to 400km/h, the Veyron makes use of custom-designed Michelin tyres, which utilise what has termed the Pax system. The tyres are capable of dealing with the stress of 400km/h speeds, and they also have a special pressure monitoring system and run-flat capability, so that even in the event of a high-speed puncture, things won't go all pear shaped." http://www.webwombat.com.au/motoring/news_...ts/bugatti1.htm And im almost positive they will give up after 50 minutes at 400km/h not 15 minutes...
  11. Oh and to further add to the disgrace these cars have been turbocharged: Seriously..... why bother, the red one has had $15,000 spent on it...
  12. When i was shown these pictures i was speechless... but the guys on preludes australia seem to find it quite impressive:
  13. But its not really about opinions, its about facts, the R32 GTR did 0-100km/h in 4.7seconds... The R34 GTR was not as quick, mainly cause of all weight added I "think" it did 0-100km/h in about 5.0seconds
  14. 1. R32 GTR 2. R34 GT-T* 3. Its definately not the R32 with its rb20de... But otherwise im not sure. *The R34 droppped the GTS-T and instead uses GT-T - Sorry to be so anal but this is a forum all about skylines
  15. My friend went from 32 gts-t to 32 GTR (with another car in the middle, but we wont talk about that one) I have driven both and own a 32 gts-t myself. The GTR is a monster, the combination of that engine with the AWD system is phenominal. You do not appreciate how fast the car is till you look down at the speedo and get the shock of your life!! It has ferocious acceleration and cornering ability. Lightly modded and they are more they I could ever want... To own a GTR is to own far more than a car... As a side note, make sure you compression test any GTR you are seriously considering and goodluck! Be sure to post pics in the R32 Pics Thread (Photography Section) of this website.
  16. Reinforcements which come in handy during a possible side impact... I guess if you look at what what car I have there are no points for which one I would take.. But in all seriousness, I prefer the second generation of the R32.. if it is a 92 or 93 is of no real difference, except u can say it was the last year that car was made if u had the 93...
  17. OH MAN THAT IS HOT!!! Luv it... looks very tuff!
  18. Where you get them? how much for 18"s??
  19. They go up to 18 x 10... but i highly doubt that is the width of the rims that are on an s15.. here is the total list of all the size combinations: http://www.enkei.co.jp/en/p_detail_rp03_pri.html What would most ppl think would be on an s15 and would they suit an r32?
  20. I was wondering if 18" Enkei RP03's will fit on an r32 gts-t which will then be lowered. If so whats the widest, front & rear that will suit?? Here is a link to all size combinations for these rims: http://www.enkei.co.jp/en/p_detail_rp03_pri.html I love these rims and want to know all the possible sizes that will fit and that they will clear the brake calipers on the front?? The set I might be able to buy are currently fitted to an s15 if that helps.....
  21. Yeah, Chaser for sure!
  22. Wow, nice man, you did well for a $20 can. Looks quite good in the pictures. Yeah i think i will get the rims and then get them coated or wateva to look the way i want.. ill post pics of the result!
  23. Well given the above, i think you are an appropriate person to ask the following: The Wheels I want no longer come in the finish i want, instead only flat silver. I was thinking of buying the flat silver ones and getting them painted or powder coated. But i really dont want it to look bad. When your are spending over $2k on something you want it to look good. Do you think painted wheels are likely to chip or deteriorate??
  24. Mine is a 93 and came with White and Red "GT" Badges on the sides. I de-badges the car when i resprayed it though..... Now the badge just sits in my wardrobe
