  1. yeah but you start to hit problems going too rich aswell. seems alot of people think if you just go richer it makes it safer... not true. GTRNUR, cant be sure on the nizpro car, was too long ago. cant remember anything about EGT's either which is obviously the main concern running a tune like that... might have to try and dig it up

X2 for A:F ratio isnt as bad as everyone is making it out to be. to the guy on the previous page, your motor died because your running lower quality fuel over here (lower oct. rating, meaning your ignition timing was too far advanced) NOT because it was running at 13:1. even with a richer mixture, odds are the same thing would have happened anyone ever read up on Nissan's Le Mans car? cant remember which one it was specifically, but they ran a lambda of 1 for the entire race. (not going to say 14.7 to one coz i dont know what fuel it was run on specifically) nizpro have also done tests, running an XR6T motor from memory flat out on a dyno, at 14.7:1 also. detonation is cause more by ignition timing that A:F ratio from what i've found
  3. can you get a reliable source of it? you need a pilots licence to buy it *legally* now afaik. dunno how stringent it is though

  5. if you wanna push it harder, you will need bigger injecors. the tune may be alright, just have less margin for crap fuel etc. what was your last ride before this? an R34 GTR with 380rwkw would be an absolute weapon, if its a street car, stick with what you got, as your just going to add more lag with gains that probly arent all that great, and you may find that the car is actually *slower* in most typical 'street' situations if u wanna race it, strip it bare (coz its free) and go run some numbers

  7. in terms of fuel economy, for those interested. im pretty sure this car was used for an article that involved tuning specifically for economy, and they got it from mid 14's down into the 11's (litres per 100km).

  12. you wont (*cant*) get a propper tune on the street. why are you being so tight about it? at best you may save $100, is it worth the risk of doing your licence, popping a motor etc, and end up with a lower quality tune just to save $100...... think about it. now think about it again. ok foget it, you dont know whats good for you, just go put it on a f*cking dyno *the 'can't' thing is just my opinion, i know people on here do it somewhat succesfully, i dont believe in it personally though*

  16. yeh i saw that on wiki aswell. it dosnt say that 02 models were only NURs though, im thinking they still might of produced 02 vspec I or even standard GTRs?

  22. 17's do NOT come with the car. also, it can still be driven on the street till the 23rd. after that you'll needa clear the defect.

  24. if you have to ask if you can use the original auto... its probly not a conversion you should be undertaking yourself...... you want to put a non injected 350 into a 300zx..... its probly not a conversion you should be undertaking at all..... if you have to do it, everything will have to be custom (mounts/crossmembers/some wiring/everythign in general). get the biggest fistful of cash you can, find some-one smart, exchnge cash for smart, do a skid in your new 350 300 PS - is your real name shaun perry? if it is, i like the no bullshit approach with your screen name
  25. thing is, i've never really seen a mechanic do a service after a given period of time, they all go off km's.... thats what i've seen anyway does oil actually 'go off' over time? and yes i was going to crank it without starting it to build oil pressure flatbedding it home isnt going to happen. 1, he lives too far from me and 2, if it is f*cked, i wanna know before i buy it, not when its in my driveway
