    Vicroads Section 8

wat i would like to know is what vicroads clasify as series. if indeed they look apon series like like dezz said. base model falcons being compared to high end XR6s, it should apply with skylines aswell. the new R35 sports 20 x 9.5" (front) and 20 x 10.5" (rear) . which would hopefully mean i can run my 19x11s on my car

theoretically you were to go on the bases that 15mm was the largest/smallest size package, you could essentially have 25" wheels so long as the tyre is small enough to compensate for the 15mm no?

your point about a r32 compared to a r35 is taken is but i think your failing to see the point here. bigger wheels half the time are used to help handle better. its half the reason why you see monster GTRs with something like 18x11 wheels despite then having no where near that big from factory. wether your using drag applications or track, sometimes you jsut gotta go bigger. i would like bigger wheels on my car and would like knowing its legal........thats all

i also wanted to raise a important question about the document. this was taken from section 8 in regards to wheel sizes. it states that wheels are determined illegal is they are above 25mm from the wheel spesified on the car OR car series. what does vicroads clasify as series? Series of the Actual car (eg R34 GTR or GTT or GT) or Skyline series? (R32 R33 R34) would that include the new R35 then? if so R32s (which came with 15s) could have wheels as big as 20x10 and be legal? Personally i always thought of it as Brand = Nissan Make = Skyline Series = R32/R33/R34/R35 Model = GTR/GTT/GTST/GT discuss

thanks alot roman. i would recommend anyone who has modifications on their car to print this out and keep a spare copy in the car, and get very familar with it. p.s i would recommend SAU do something like sticky these sort of important documents.
  6. by any chance does anyone have a pdf copy? cheers
  7. dont bother with the SAFC, get a power FC or similar
  8. not your clutch. could you explain the problem a little better? you put your foot down, and the revs drop down? but only for a second then it takes off like it should?
  9. rego stickers are bs for weight. my mates soarer says its 1250 lol i dont think there would be much in it, either way, but its still got no low down torque, especially when you look at results of turboing the RB30, or mod the v8
  10. like 1000-1500. go on calaisturbo and look for the rb20 thread. lists all the parts you need for the conversion, and everyone whose been nothing but let down by it. theres just no low down torque for big, relatively heavy car. most people start with an RB30, and the conclusion was your beter off to turbo that, starting from a V8, i'd do as suggested above
  11. 100% serious. the old mag rocked. hasn't been that way for years tho
  12. dont know honestly. might just be easier to work with what you got. where are you from? i got a complete VLT loom here if you want to buy it, although i personally wouldnt think its necesary
  13. i'd be more worried about you stalling, not the car ^yes, its great for that. if you've got a room temp 6 pack or similar, give it a quick hit with a fire extinguisher, gets em nice n cold real quick
  14. sounds like your taking a shot at dirtgarage/ray hall? have they been hanging shit on haltec or something? forgive me for not keeping up with all the drama, and no, i havent read very much of this thread.
  15. yeh, it'll probly just be easier just getting a 6cyl K frame.
  16. i can tell your gonna get along just fine around here
  17. sell both and buy a skyline.
  18. 1. find nearest cliff 2. proceed with flat sticking what do you mean 'is it bad for your car'? you thrash the f*ck out of it and cant see any potential problems?
  19. its because your not touching anything when you get out of the car. you must be letting go of everything and just spinning sideways on ur arse, then putting your foot on the ground and lifting/stepping up. when u move across your seat like that it builds up alot of static electricity (obviously). rest your hand on a metal part of the car before u lift ur ass out of the seat, and leave it resting on the car till ur out. it will 'earth out' all that static, so to speak
  20. both those coolers are built for alot higher hp than that, i doubt you would see any difference between them. are you buying a full kit or getting custom piping made up? i'd use whichever one fits easiest/has inlet/outlet in the best spot
  21. Ben 20 apprentice boiler maker just work for a small fabrication shop (5 full time ppl working there). mainly structual but build all kinds of random shit, walkways, strairs, houses, little covers and crap like that. did some work on eastlink, and more recently on the train lines at clifton hill where they're duplicating the lines. shit like that
  22. there can't be a *real* world record for pump fuel, its too inconsistent between countries. you can get unleaded fuels with 116 octane. what record do you want to know?
  23. nudes?
  24. oh yeah and if you can have any input, see to it that they stop running the same f*cking articles in HPI/zoom. latest one wasnt so bad, the E85 article, showing different aspects of it on different cars, but over nearly every issue before that, there has been the same god damn article, like word for word, with almost all the same pics in each mag, in the same month. i buy both religiously and kinda feel a bit ripped off
