  1. get it re-tested. only call-out mechanic i've seen that has diagnosed a car right was a blown head gasket on an EA falcon, even then its about 50/50 he'd be right even if he guessed. to suddenly lose all compression, its gotta be in the head, snapped belt or something, maybe tensioner has let go, moving the came timing heaps but not enough to smash it/make heaps of noise? dont know if thats possible but cant think of much else, if it genuinely has no compression that it.... again, get it retested by someone in the know
  2. yeah i must say i havent actually done it in traffic, but on the freeway its a genuine possibilty, especially at night on fri/satday, coming home from the city n stuff, when its real quiet, dark, its almost 'logical'. only problem is i listen to hardstyle/house, really need some slow R&B or something but it just not my thing...
  3. anyone else ever just flop it out and have a little rub? u know, nothing too dedicated, just some gentle affection to pass the time?
  4. i'm not in plumbing but its probly the best/second best apprenticeship to get into IMO. good conditions and good money, very few trades have both of those. providing u can handle unblocking the odd toilet, you should be fine. when your qualified, get your qualifications to be a roof plumber, i dont know whats involved, but call a roog plumber and just ask him what it costs to do some basic things.
  5. if they dont pin you when your behind the wheel, then they *cant* fine you, unless you get scared and fess up. just dump the car and get back to your house, wait for em to rock up. play dumb. easy **they can do whatever they want but you should be able to get out of it easy enough** as for not being able to open the bonnet, i heard of a story from a mate who knows a bloke with something a little bit hardcore. think it was an old commie with a pretty serious 26 in it, and he rigged up some special way to open his bonnet so that he could say the bonnet release wasnt working. the cop spent an hour and a half going over it till he worked it out lol. needless to say there was a pretty serious reeming after that you just gotta hope you get a good copper pullin you over, if they dont like you, your gonna get a canary no matter what. i one for a blown headlight globe....
  6. sorry, was wrong about that last bit, he does have a sister. and for some reason i cant edit my posts, hence the triple posting
  7. spunky munky, care to elaborate as the driver doesnt have any sisters as far as i know.
  8. just found out today that the driver is actully a mate that i havent seen in a couple of months, and he's a top bloke, if you dont know him, dont go talking sh*t about him. he made on very f*cking big mistake, and it's just so unfortunate that in this case the consequences were so great. everyone on here would have done stupid things in there cars, some by drink driving, driving on drugs etc, and i rkn nearly everyone on here has done stupid sh*t in there cars and lost control completely, but most come out unscathed, that doesnt make you all saint's, just because you came out clean doesnt make you any better than the driver in this case, just luckier
  9. i was looking for one a week or two ago, but for bike purposes. found a decent M2R one, full face, for $110. but go try a few on, get one thas comfotable
  10. vice/edge of a bench and a hammer?
  11. should be in your car, i think it was only the R34 that has issues coz its got its own daughterboard in the factory comp. someone confirm?
  12. yeh honestly, i dont think you can ask your mate to help pay. why didnt you see his car? you cant just assume that no-one will park there and you can just reverse out, you still have to look where your going...
  13. o2 sensor shouldnt change ur A:F ratio at full throttle, only light load and low revs
  14. yeh if the vibration on the dyno was bad it could have been messing with your knock sensor, retarding timing, although i dont think knock detection changes your fuel map?
  15. yeah i was under the impression it was to keep the guys in suits happy, government officials and that type
  16. as above, pretty sure its legal if its behind the rear most opening window
  17. thats tough
  18. yeah my bad, just copied it straight off another site
  19. did a quick search for stagen but couldnt find it, feel like i've seen it on here before at some point. just saw it smashed on the side of the road before, was wondering what happened? didnt look like a good place to leave it....
  20. did u get a single spinner centre? or weld the LSD centre?
  21. just do it, i drive my VL with a spool daily, you get used to it real quick, only thing i would sugest is putting some stockers on back/all round coz it'll chew out ur tyres real quick even if you drive it soft. of course thats just for street driving, if it will genuinely only be to the track and back then yeah, just leave ur rims on then edit: forgot the other part of the answer, your other options are a rebuilt VL turbo LSD/r31 lsd, or any BW78 series diff(i think its the BW78) but VLT is probly the more common one. allow a couple of hundred for geting the centre, and another 4-500 rebuilding it. if you do get a tighter spring in the centre, like 200-300pound, but then it will probly start ating like a locker anyway. keep in mind these diffs are notorius for wearing ot quickly when doing burnouts etc, i htink the 300pound spring will fix that somewhat, but is it really all worth it for a cheap drift hack?
  22. VB-

    Frankston

probly best not to post peoples addresses on here, maybe just go knock on his door?
  23. R34 GTX is 4wd from memory. i think one model came with an RB20 but nobody wants em i think you'll find in your first post that all but one or two should NOT be over 206kw
  24. i think maybe with the class sydney kid had to run in he had to use stock turbos (i think it was a supra, not a 2J skylines also) and that could have had issues with the brakes, but most people go medium/big single and then it should be easy enough to stop heating the master cylender 1JZ>RB25 imo
  25. turbo for sure go drive an NA skyline then jump back into a turbo, see what you like more.... keep in mind the gap only gets bigger when you start modifications
