Gizzmo K-mon The Best Tuning Tool You Will Ever Use
VB- replied to STATUS's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
how would this compare to det cans ie: copper tube bolted to the block? The Mafia, are you reffering to ionisation current? or something different? -
X2, dunno what it is about golf's, mostly the newer turbo gti ones. i voted hoon. i drive normal most of the time, hardly ever race (cars too slow, theres no point), but theres still those days (well, mostly nights) where i like to go for a run through the factories. minispooled VL ftw

Wtf I Have No Values In My Ign Map On My Power Fc
VB- replied to black sky's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah but owners will play with the tune, it goes bang, then they take it back and convieniently forget to mention the part where they tried some home tuning, and try to put the cost of the rebuild onto the shop that said i still dont support locking ECU's, unless its for EPA reasons -
best pho is in springy, next door to the real estate agent, opposite the up ramp to the carpark for the old shopping centre
-
went there quite a few times when my mate was looking for an S15, guy was really nice, helpful etc. who was the one that was being a dick to you guys? the younger guy (30 something?) wog bloke, or the older guy (think its his dad?)
-
it only costs like $110 to to become an lmct i think it is, and if you are, means LCT doesnt apply to you *info is old and may be different now, heard about this a few years ago

i didnt get that ^ you were going to sell a HSV astra for $1000? and dont lost too much sleep over those 'hard c*nts', they just do that shit so they can blow quicker while they sit around pulling eachother, talking about how tough they are. they're the same fags that hang around maccas in groups of 10-15 people talking rather loudly about how many guys they smashed (or 'drilled') in the last few weeks. its funny when you see how quiet and reserved they are when you see them later in the street, one on one, suddenly they aint so chirpy and dont seem to mouth of as much do you know where any of em live? go punch his cat right in the face edit - were these young, jap bike wogs, or old, harley type bikie wogs? btw, as for going to places to meet people, my mate bought a rex last year i think (just after the yellow S15 got stolen/owner tazered), and the WOMAN came alone, said she'd had too many freaks coming to look at the car, real wierd c*nts, thats why she wanted to meet at her house for that reason. i was like 'wtf ur crazy, at least bring people with you because people will car jack you *insert yellow S15 story*. she had her parents come in another car next time, i think i scared her, maybe she thought i was gonna car jack her lol. but my mate bought the car so it was all good. PS - shooting someone is attempted murder last time i checked? even if its only in the leg, isnt it still attempted murder? or malicious wounding or some sh*t?

dash is nice, but nothing that wouldnt say its anything revolutionary, what IS revolutionary, is having everything, lights etc switched by the PC, havent seen that done before, looks really well excecuted too

The Ultimate R32 Gtr, Powered By 2jz
VB- replied to fieds83's topic in General Automotive Discussion
how much is the 3 litre kit worth in japan? from memory its around 30 grand here, thats a pretty good reason to go with a 2jz..... PS - that was fully assembled i think, so i guess the kit itself owuld be cheaper.... but still, 2jz has heaps of cheap parts from the states compared to RB's -

Modifying Stock Intercooler For Water-air
VB- replied to Ionos's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
yeah you'll still have the same pressure drop from the cooler, you *MIGHT* cool the air better. i'd say go for another, better flowing cooler, and try it -
might aswell do it, its pretty cheap from memory. last time i heard (years ago) it was $5 a kilo, whats it at now?
-
on the issue of room, i'm 6'6" last time i checked, and imma fat c*nt to boot, and i genuinely found the S15 more liveable than the R34, although i dont think either is a realistic option, but i dont have that much money anyway i drove the cars at different times, and drove other cars in between, so my review might be slightly flawed, but it felt as though the S15 picked up quicker. its a bit lighter, plus 6 speed box with shorter ratios helps there. car felt a bit lighter on its feet, and was more eager to be pushed through corners, although i didnt really thrash it much (was test driving for a mate) and the S15 *MAY* have had a set of coilovers in it R34 with be easier to get bigger power out of, and gearbox is tough as nails, S15 will still get you plenty of power for a daily, but you may have issues with the top end and the gearbox drive both and see what YOU think
-
i'd be more worried about the cost of rebuilding the bottom end over the cost of fuel. look for ones that have reciepts/evidence of a rebuid IMO
-
i watched as a GTR got tuned with these turbos(-5's), and it was really flattening off/boost dropping off at ~430rwkw on race fuel @24psi, so you could make your target power but you'll be really pushing the turbos hard
-
could be an external company that plays with garrett turbs? like what bullseye does with BW

My Friend Wants A Skyline But His 6 Feet 8''
VB- replied to jakez88's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
i'm 6'6" (last time i checked, probly taller now) and have driven a few skylines, 34 isnt too bad for how far the seat goes back, i found width to be the problem (i'm a fat c*nt) and also found that my knee sits against both the side of the steering wheel and the shifter. can handle it for the short time im driving one, but woulndt even think about possibly considering maybe owning one, just wouldnt happen. even then, height is a very general thing, really depends on how your proportioned. just go to a car yard and let him sit in one. -
i thought normal operating temp is 85-90 degrees? your thermostat isnt opening if the bottom hose is cold, so maybe its just not getting hot enough, even though to you it feels like the top hose is 'boiling'? only other hting i could think of is blockages in the block or something?
-
yes, entirely possible that its other noise picked up by the sensor, some people say that general road noises can be responsible for like a knock reading of 15 or so. cant tell you how much to expect in skylines etc though, most issues i've heard of are in older cars with rattly top ends
-
sorry must have been mistaken with another one. whats the LC-1/LM-1 worth anyway?
-
what ECU are you using? innovate doesnt have auxilary outputs, so if you can put these to good use, maybe check out the site paulr33 mentioned
-
just change the load scale to suit. as long as the flow through the AFM is CONSISTANT in its ratio with the air going around, there will be no problem. which, unless there is turbulance through the pipe, wont be a problem. now, that internal pipe may protect against, or make the problem worse (only my opinion). very interested to see results.
