  1. yeah compression test, and take the cat out. Tangles, its making boost, so the exhaust wheel is probly still in the right spot

  3. you talking about the one built by the guy at gibson motorsport back in the day? from memory it was a bit 'showy' on the outside, but again, even with VL's its hard to make a sleeper, just because of all the bangers at calder that run 9's lol that 4wd was for sale for agggeeeesss too, coz he wanted like 150k for it.
  4. rather than how good those are, why not investigate how good your stock ones are? why the upgrade? stock ones are good for a shit load of power, or is it more for aestethetic reasons?
  5. so far, there have only been 2 sleepers in this thread, the 323 and the rolla above IMO. i cant make up my mind on the 31, on one hand it looks like a stocko 31, but on the other it looks like its got a standard VLT conversion, meaning it wouldnt be THAT fast. to me a sleeper is something that appears slow, but is actually quite fast. i think its a joke if you believe any GTR is a sleeper.... seriously. "hey guys, look at my lamborghini LP640, completely standard on the outside.... noone know what hit em " and the cars with big polished front mounts, again, hardly sleeper. this does 11's this does 10's 11's 515rwhp apparently but this would have to top them all, over 1100hp from memory had to add this one, just coz i love the plates. also makes 244rwkw
  6. strange. my mate got his Q45 AFM hack up, and the probe/electronics fitted into his stainless cooler piping. holding up fine at 18+psi/330rwkw
  7. its making boost thought, even if there is a leak, its still getting 12psi or whatever hes running in the plenum, should be making more than 48kw. the only powerloss from a boost leak should be the drop in effeciency as the turbos spinning hard to make the required boost at the plenum, due to the leaking air somewhere else. unless theres something im missing?

  10. got a graph? what valve springs are you using? any chance of float? drop the exuahst off first coz its easiet, lose as much of it as you can. you say power wont go up even if you crank the boost up, what happens to the A:F ratio when you wind it up? comp+leak down tests
  11. where did you pull this magic 19* of ignition timing from? every motor is different, that would be far too much in some cases. you can also run more than 17psi in a stocko RB30, been done heaps of times (probly into the hundreds when you look at VLT's)

  15. its not that hard to get to the top one is it? you need a new one anyway so buy one, replace the top one first, if it doesn't work, burn the car and claim insurance

    Tig Welder

    if you can handle not being able to weld Alu you should be able to get something. i've got a $400 Arc welder that i've got a tig torch/gas for etc, will be fine for most stuff. i dont rkn you really need a big $4k machine for the basic stuf you've listed

  18. you could do it by bumping the pressure a bit, but you wont go much passed 300, and you injectors will be hitting ~100% quite often

  20. where do you normally fly? my mates bro in law is really into that stuff, got a few choppers and hes built himself a jet too. think he fly's over at altona? as for how hard they are to fly, i've tried on a very realistic simulator, with the proper remote control, and i was offered $1000 by this guy who can really fly em, if i could hover it for 10 seconds.... thats how hard it is. and no, i didnt get the money

  25. hydrogen is great in theory, but i just dont like the idea of driving an atom bomb. theres alot of safety stuff around saying there fine, but thats on the idea that you dont rupture the tank, they are 'safe' because there designed around the tank so you dont hurt it, but if you should somehow manage too, FKN BANG! thats my understanding of it.... i like the idea of leccy cars, but give it a few years. biggest problem with them is batteries. they're big, heavy, and expensive atm, but getting better
