  1. i think i saw somewhere that a 997 turbo has made it at like 1.03 or 1.04 around tsukuba, how much quicker is the GT3/2? apparently the new GTR has pulled a 1.01 at the hands of Dori Kin, i think the GT2 could pull a 1.00, but dunno if its been run there? i just dont get it why theres all this fuss about nurburgring times, the track is just too long, with too many external variables. it doesnt tell you whose got the fastest car, it tells you who got there on th ebst day, with the best driver, and the most luck, with best suited tyres for the day etc so whose got times for tsukuba, GT3/2 vs. GTR? PS - i did a quick search but couldnt get the answer i was looking for
  2. its that close it doesnt matter, driving around a corner would throw it out more than that when the backwheels take a more inside line of the corner (it makes sense in my head lol)
  3. i wanna see what he hit, looks like it was in the bottom right of the last pic, looks like its ripped something out of the ground but wtf was it?
  4. if your looking to run 17-19 every day you might get away with a 38mm. when you say you've already paid for it, is it just a choice between those two or do you have to pay more for the 60??? if its just a choice of taking one get the 60, but im guessing its not so get the 38
  5. yeah depending on how modified your car is install + set up yourself. you plug it in and start the car, thats all it is, then after 10 mins turn aircon on, then 10 mins later turn heater on. theres a propper guide written up somewhere, save yourself the 300 and definately do it yourself
  6. holy crap how much timing did you have to pull to run 2.17bar on 98ron fuel? den001, its the compressor that determins airflow, so theoretically (in my mind) they should make the same power, allowing for restrictions of the exhaust housing which can be somewhat oversome by a big external gate
  7. eyah most of those cheaper turbos arent balanced, thats where the main problems come from. look at KKR turbos instead, still cheap and chinese but with proven reliability that said, go do a quick search on calaisturbo.com.au you'll find a few threads on monsta, alot of people say they are unreliable etc, but they're are quite a few people on there using em, only posting good things, so meh, who knows
  8. yeh, i did see one car that it looks cool on, was a late-ish Pontiac firebird i think, its got the nostrils in the bonnet like late model monaro's, guy had it in there spraying out, looks like a dragon with smoke coming out of its nostrils lol
  9. why have you limited yourself to those 2 wastegates? 38 is a touch small, 60 is waaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy oversized. go for a 44mm
  10. what fuel were you using while running 2 bar?
  11. yeh nitrous spray (possibly CO2) like i said earlier it can cause cold burns, guess why, its f*ckin cold, spray it over the cooler you'll get more power. you'll see alot of cars do it on the dyno
  12. whered this idea come about its to get air out of the lines? someone care to explain how th air gets IN th lines to start with? its from the bottle being open and letting the nitrous all the way up to the solenoid in the engine bay, which heats up heating the nitrous up turning it from a liquid to a gas, which isnt good, so you purge the gas off, no 'air' as such
  13. dont take this the wrong way but what in f*cks name were you doing running it on 91RON, let alone after modding it with bigger turbo etc, thats just stupid? again, dont take it persoanlly
  14. all vaccum lines reatached properly? did a line maybe come loose when removing/refittting the plenum. do you have a boost guage thats T'd into one of the lines that may have been pulled off during plenum work, and missed because its further down one of the vaccum lines and not plumbed to the plenum itself?
  15. fact 1: the fast and the furious is not a guide for modifying your car fact 2: if you decide to go this route, be f*cking careful, its all well and good to see paul walked spray it over some chick and get 'the look' from her, but reality dictates that nitrous oxide can cause cold burns (i think lol)
  16. from memory there should be a number somewhere on the car (inside a door or something) that you can give to a locksmith and he should be able to make you a key, i remember some one lost the key for their car, however i think it was for an old (80's) toyota, so might not apply in this case?
  17. im a bit of a toyota fan boy, so am ever so pleased to see toyota stickin it up the nissan how much faster is the V spec supposed to be round the ring? and was it the GT3 maybe that ran 7:32?
  18. normal speakers in 2 ohm are pretty rare, does it say 2 ohm on the bottom of the speaker? do you have a DMM?
  19. ahk yeah makes sense i guess
  20. well that doesnt f*cken help me, what the hell is turquoise?
  21. i think its more about directing air than downforce. they just dont have enough area to generate meaningful downforce LMAO ^^
  22. i am partially colourblind but to me that looks more green than blue, can anyone clarify this for me?
  23. f*ck man thats awesome, sucks your in QLD though. GL with the sale, looks like a car that you could have alot of fun in lol
  24. yeh even if you get GPS, dont rely on it, make sure you carry a melway too. friends and i went on a random trip to sydney, and he was relying on his GPS, sure enough the thing just died and couldnt get it to work again. i dont know sydney as im a melbourne boy, but still knew where the arterial was to get us home. f*ck it was funny watchin my mates panic though, they just had no idea what to do lol
  25. yeh mix catalyst and resin, put the sheet over the area and dab the resin on with a brush, dont use strokes, dab it on. i cant remember why or even if im right lol. maybe someone should clarify? depending on how bad it is, you might be better off putting it along the back or the damaged area, then when its all solid, bog up the front, sand it back and paint it pretty again
