  1. the utes are lighter in the rear end but they aren't as light as you would think.
  2. Dear OP, You're a bastard! Sincerely, Jealous Person
  3. yeah the trayback falcon utes in the BA were tough. haven't seen an FG though (that pic looks like it's a BA/BF)
  4. yeah i know, i was just being a douche. but i have a feeling there are other cars that have done times in the high teens that aren't on the list due to the fact that they are too low, etc.
  5. a lot of people go the 32 because they think it's the fastest because it is the quickest over the 1/4 mile, which it is, but round a track it isn't the quickest and most people ignore that in their "the r32 is the fastest" argument
  6. i got an office chair like that, but mine is a monza race seat and it has wheels on it.
  7. yeah i have been spun a few times by AI drivers raming the side of my car on straights after getting in my slipstream.
  8. actually the renault f1 car is the fastest car around the track (59 seconds).....
  9. unless the ecu was tuned for GTR sized injectors it will be no better than the stock ecu. also what sort of chip is in the ecu? is it one of those powerchip type ones that you can't tune? if so, they are a major waste of time and money. if it is something that has been tuned by a tuner and you can have it retuned then you should be able to take it to a tuner and have them simply change the injector size to the GTR size in the settings (depending on ecu setup) and then you will be able to atleast run the car, however you should still get it fully tuned once you have the car on the road as you may end up damaging the motor if the tune doesn't suit your car. generally "stage X" stuff when it comes to ECU's are a load of crap. they are usually just generic tuned stuff and won't give the power gains of an individually tuned ecu, since it will be done specifically for your car. if you walk into a workshop and asked a tuner to give your car a "stage 3 tune" you'd find that it is more than likely the exact same tune as you would get if you asked for a stage 1 tune, lol. a tuner simply tunes an ecu to be at a certain AFR and timing that isn't going to make it ping.
  10. care to explain why? the only thing the 32 has going for it is weighing a tiny bit less. other than that the ATTESA system isn't as good, the engine suffers more from oil issues (33 still suffers from it but not as much), and the 33 actually has better suspension geometry.
  11. can't hurt to try. also just see if you can get a longer bolt the same size. you may be able to get it to tighten up without having to retap it or anything like that.
  12. so even if you swap the coils with another cylinder the misfire is still at number 3 cylinder? if so that narrows it down a bit. it may be a faulty injector, or possibly you have lost compression in that cylinder (that's worst case scenario).
  13. i'm not sure if the ecutalk program has it, but i think either datascan or conzult have it.
  14. i agree for the sedans but not for the utes. i don't like the FG utes anywhere near as much as with the holdens or the BA/BF utes.
  15. could be an issue with an injector not closing (or opening) properly, or not spraying properly/evenly and at idle the AFR of 1 or 2 cylinders at idle isn't ideal, but at higher rpm it is ok due to higher fuel pressure and cylinder temps. if you car is a series 1 then it may also be linked to the ignitor pack, or it could also be linked to lower compression in 1 cylinder. this is where a consult cable can be quite useful as with some programs you can individually turn off cylinders to see if any are weaker than others. if turning off 1 cylinder makes less difference than the others then you know that is where the problem is and can look closer at that. if you do a compression test and find that it is close to others then you know the issue is either spark or fuel related. one other possible cause is the idle adjustment. i have seen cars where altering the idle screw can actually induce a slight miss. again this is where the base idle mode of a consult program comes in handy, however putting the car into base idle mode without it is relatively simple.
  16. oh how that made me LOL. you'd probably be lucky to use 10mb a month on those ads
  17. half of the ads you move your mouse back over and they disappear straight away (or they disapear the moment your mouse is off the ad). the others though..... you have to hover over them and then wait until they have finished showing they little flash video or animation or whatever they may have. those ones shit me to tears.
  18. LOL, thread is now closed comments from the owner weren't that bad. typical of a lot of business owners defending their business, dodgy or not. the employee though, well he's just a cockhead. what sort of idiot threatens someone while representing a business? fkn tool
  19. QFT, lol i use traction control on some cars because you simply have to with a controller since you have limited throttle control (can't stand using the thumbstick).
  20. you tried having your injectors cleaned?
  21. pretty sure all cars are like that. not sure if they may even be required to do it for legal reasons.
  22. yeah. will need uber reflexes to drive really fast. nah i'm still only on about level 20. i don't play it that much though, only a few hours on the weekend. my B-sepc is up to level 7 (one driver at level 5, the other at level 3 or 4)
  23. i don't think it was because you were in a skyline on your P's, i think it is simply because you are on your P's.
  24. yeah could be from breathers, or it could possibly a bit of spilt oil from when they were filling them. maybe get under the car and give the gearbox and diff a good wipe down with a rag to get any excess oil off and see if that makes a difference.
  25. some tuners lock the ecu for 2 reasons. 1 to stop the car owner altering the tune and possibly damaging the engine and then coming back to the tuner and blaming them for it (it happens). 2 is to simply stop someone copying the tune. as for resetting it, i'm not sure if that will do the job (not sure if you need the code to reset it), but i really know very little about the PFC so i'm not the best to answer this question. one option though is to simply take it to the tuner who did the tune and see if they will unlock it for you.
