  1. i'm not a big fan of using plenumn vac lines for boost. i know people in the past (and myself) who have had boost spiking issues when using a line hooked to the plenum. that is why i welded mine into the pipe from the turbo to the cooler. before doing it i would occasionally get a spike up to 14psi (boost was set at 11). after moving it i had no spiking issues.
  2. surface rust you simply sand/grind off. deeper rust you need to cut it out and weld a new piece of steel back in.
  3. yeah it's simply a breather hose like 89cal said.
  4. +1 for it being awesome.
  5. also that yellow monstrosity isn't technically legal as it doesn't have an airbag steering wheel, which was a standard feature on the 95 model, which adds to the suggestion that it was in a front end collision which set off the airbag and they didn't replace it when they fixed the car.
  6. baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahaha, you're kidding right?
  7. Harvey have it at $77 for preorder in their catalogue, but that catalogue ends today i think (going by the ad on tv). so who knows what the prices will actually be on thursday. On another note, a heap of shops in france are already selling it.
  8. Talking to the guys at harvey norman here, they have 76 copies of the standard version on order, with 14 preorders. The collectors edition they had about 9 on order with about 5 preorders.
  9. an autech s15 should run in the 15 second bracket 1/4's (people have run high 15's while others have run flat 15's), which isn't much different to a NA skyline.
  10. i have a feeling that they are both the same as far as the clusters plugging in, etc goes. auto ones i think have the gear indicator (park, neutral, drive, etc) (only been in an auto skyline once, so can't really remember), but i think they should work.
  11. yeah ABS, was optional, not standard. my 33 didn't have it.
  12. the engine out joke goes back earlier than that. there was this thread back to june http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Gi...ay#entry5271356 engine out jokes start at post 12.
  13. difference being that 1 car is massively worked, has no form of factory warranty and wouldn't even come close to passing an emissions test or be close to being road worthy and the other is exactly how it left the factory. would also be interesting to see the top speed difference. i'm guessing that above 350kmh the r34 would struggle and the veyron would very quickly pass it.
  14. i'm pretty sure the stealth and chrome line packs are purely DLC, so i'm sure they will be available to purchase seperately, for a small fee (since EB games is doing the stealth pack with the standard edition of the game). also those cars will still be in the game, i'm just guessing that with the addition car packs you simply get those cars straight away and you don't have to earn/buy them, but i really don't know. it could simply be that they aren't in the game and the car pack simply adds them into the game but you don't get them for free. and as someone else replied to you, according to a reviewer with the actual game, standard cars wheels cannot be changed. no speculating involved here. i think maybe you should go and change your tampon. and yes, there will be 2 player split screen, just with limited views available (seems to just be bumper and above car views, and can't save replays)
  15. I've got to get my mate who works at harvey norman to ring me if they get it the day before so i can get it on my way to work. Otherwise i'll have to knock of work early to get it.
  16. do you happen to have the software that goes with it? if so, see gary at gympie mechanical and roadworthy centre in gympie. he should be able to help you out. and if he has any problems he can just give me a call since i've done one before (but he shouldn't since they are pretty straight foward).
  17. make you have it pulled out of the car. just because something comes from the factory with something illegal doesn't magically make it legal. as for your data usage, that is exceptionally high. it may come down to the fact that it is a windows OS phone (pretty sure it is anyway), and the way that it uses the mapping (and how zoomed in you had it). but on android phones it isn't bad at all.
  18. http://www.trapster.com/
  19. as above, the fact that you are putting in a different aspiration motor to what the car came out with standard counts as an engine modification, which you aren't allowed to do as a P-plater. so sorry mate, you can't legally drive your car even with a NA motor in it.
  20. i've beaten a natro 33 in the missus SSS pulsar, so it's all relative. the power isn't as high in the rev range as you would think. pull well from 3000rpm, pull really well from 4500rpm. i would assume tha autech sr20 would pull even better.
  21. does the key turn in the lock at all? if the key turns but the boot simply doesn't release then you may need o have someone pull up hard on the boot while you turn the key.
  22. +1 for the 350. if you were to mod it, an APS turbo kit would do nicely.
  23. baaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahaha, love his laugh at 0:19
  24. The australian version actually gets made here, so they hve been here for a little while now.
  25. anyone wondering about the game should read this. 40 minute install time is going to suck. i'll just start installing it the moment i get home and then it should be done by the time i finish dinner http://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=132738
