  1. yeah, it's kinda cool but an MFD just seems... under-utilised in a GTt pic of my old GTt with gauges, from memory they were 52mm & a tiny gap between the window & the gauge, I made up a custom mounting bracket that screwed into the factory mounting holes for the original gauge cluster & held the gauges in place. The small gap meant I was able to slightly angle the position of the gauges so they faced more towards the driver.
  2. Are Just jap STILL flogging those f**kin gauges? I remember about 4 years ago I bought an A/F ratio gauge back when I had an R34, it came with a warning light & it would beep every single f**kin time I lifted off the throttle, bloody annoying
  3. yup was gonna say, N16 sedan = Japan N16 hatch = sunderland, england shouldn't make a difference imo I have an N15 manual as a daily & it hasn't let me down, actually a pretty fun thing to punt around
  4. oh wow. Anybody who lowballs on this car will personally receive my knee to their nuts
  5. ^ random nobody who actually believes what they think or say actually matters this delete sau?
  6. ^Compared to my old GT-t the v36 feels like I'm steering a P&O cruiseliner even after my suspension mods but I still love it all the same Hi sorry for the late reply dude, I don't come on here as often as I used to... FWIW I actually have the eibach pro-kit on my car it was mainly to lower the front to get rid of the noticeable front wheel & fender gap. The big difference to the handling was when I got my 'hotchkis suspension' swaybars. I've got some pics of them somewhere in my profile gallery. Night & day difference to the handling, for the better. I've tracked my car with this set up & imo it's a nice compromise between daily driver/occasional track car without going full coilovers
  7. I'll give you my perspective as it does draw some parallels to your situation. I went from an R34 GT-t to a 350z, the two cars were from different eras in technology & design philosophy. Whether newer is better/more enjoyable is subjective. Obviously the interior/exterior is going to be more modern in the later car & the Z was more comfy to drive around in day to day, but man did I miss the raw mechanical feeling of my Gt-t, the little squeaks & rattles weren't even an issue just due to how fun it was to drive & the turbo rush, wish I could've kept it. Not saying the Z wasn't fun either, but it was just more... exciting in the R34 Definitely do your research on general maintenance & upkeep that comes with owning an R34GTR (not to mention modifications ), it definitely helps if you're a DIY kind of bloke when it comes to things like oil changes, fixing mechanical issues etc. Only thing stopping me owning an R34GTR right now is the mortgages & planning to propose to my gf down the track. I've test-driven relatively stock & modded R34 GTR's before & one thing I noticed compared to my v36 is the initial power when you take off in a GTR doesn't feel as strong due to the smaller displacement motor, but as soon as the turbos kick in you get that rush of power that is soooo satisfying I need to start playing lotto
  8. I get the flu shot every year & when the weather gets colder around May I start drinking a glass of juice in the morning & one in the afternoon when I get home from work. It works for me & haven't had a cold or flu in over 7 years since I started this ritual, even when I'm surrounded by work colleagues who get colds. I remember getting a lot of colds & runny noses as a kid so maybe that helped build up my immune system down the track?
  9. is this still for sale? have a workmate who might be interested. Is this phone locked to any particular network? p.s overseas at the moment so not always able to access internet conveniently
  10. ^ if you zoom in on the label it says: WARNING: may cause overly dramatic, suspiciously long drag races which cause danger to your manifold, causing you to end up owing some 'roided up baldy a 10 sec car with overnight parts from japan... but you do get to bang his ridiculously hot sister
  11. nah didn't buy bf3, those warshooters aren't my thing anyway & kind of all feel the same, I just buy them when they're in the $20 bargain bin as I don't really have the spare time to play video games anymore, as much I wish I did so I'm a bit choosy on what I buy nowadays
  12. I'm just here to brag, I had a GTt when I was 19, was working full time making shedloads of moolah for a 19yo by then so bought & paid for it all by myself growing up in my teens was an awesome time, just before the p plate restrictions & when all the girls wanted to be broad minded persons like paris hilton If you want an n/a R34 go for it, I had an n/a R33 for my first car & had lots of fun with it, just don't be surprised if you get overtaken by falcondores. You'll still have a great looking car but will be paying through the nose for insurance, but that's for young guys in general anyway I had mates with corollas & accords who weren't much cheaper insurance wise compared to my GTt (i think having an insurance policy with the same insurer since I was 17 helped a bit though) good luck
  13. crap I'm still overseas until the 5th march, got a week off work before I have to head back would've been perfect *Cue sad panda face*
  14. Who else out there is pumped for mass effect 3? I've continued my shephard since the first game & uber excited, which is awesome because I rarely get excited about anything anymore It's been so long since I played through I can barely remember the details but from ME2 I did 2 playthroughs; one where I destroyed the enemy base & one where I kept it for the illusive man other than that my whole team survived & all the crew was back safely afterwards, dunno how that will play out in the next game but will be fun to see. I had a squizz on the bioware forums to see some pre-release updates, but man those guys are more trekkie then trekkies I'm gonna steer clear of those types of sites, I hate spoilers, like being told the ending of a movie before you go to watch it
  15. I'm at lvl 57(i think) & still only up to "Alduin's wall" quest lol haven't played in a while as I'm currently Overseas This might have to take a backseat to Mass Effect 3 as I get back to aus a day before it's released, yeahh boii!
  16. It'll be worth it just for the chance of another "pack of arseholes" moment. You know this to be true
  17. mate I highly suggest getting grounding wires that ground the throttle bodies & engine block to the chassis. Made a noticeable difference to the shifting feel of my 5AT no joke, a lot of the myg37.com guys have done it to their 5at on point 2 you brought up I only get rev hang in DS mode when I floor it from a standing start, manual mode it's not an issue
  18. check out the 'V'series sub-section of the forums here http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/forum/170-v-series-skylines/ or check out myg37.com american forum with plenty of info generally you can get exhaust, aftermarket intakes but power gains will always be relatively mild with n/a in comparison to turbo cars
  19. Nissan/Renault will do whatever is profitable or cost effective for them over filling niches in a niche market porsche don't make cheap econoboxes. Horses for courses Cool vid nonetheless
  20. truly I would, seriously... if the missus didn't already have my balls in a vice my next car may as well be a people mover
  21. I got this as a present for Chrissie, all i can say is WOW! I spend more time hunting deer& elk with my bow & catching dragonflies than blundering around with main quests
  22. but...but... I am none of these things I got my P plates about a year before the restrictions first came in, good times running around on greens in a GTt, those were the days
  23. you'd think they'd want to compete with Lexus in cars & price point moreso than ze germans at least that's what I thought when I first heard infiniti is launching here it's closest competitor imo would be the is350 which is I'm guessing $70-90k on road depending on model spec? as much as I am a tragic nissan fanboi I don't see infiniti appealing to the german car buyers; The way i see it it's kind of like the R35 vs euro exotic; the G37/370GT will represent excellent value for money in performance & features vs comparable competitor cars but it's not going to steal too many sales from the "premium" brands. (Anybody that knows me long enough knows about my opinion on overpriced/over-rated euros ) The stock 'sport' model suspension on the 370gt is truly atrocious though, I can understand them wanting to aim for comfort more than performance but even turning through roundabouts felt like a heavy lifeless slug, spirited driving though corners usually meant intital understeer greeted by power oversteer. I canned the the stock swaybars & springs quicksmart & it's a totally different beast.
  24. I need to come on here more often do spill beans (via pm) does it work with aux? dvd is so last decade
