  1. looks good esp. for diy the coppers can always argue it's not acceptable as it's not "fully enclosed" Rule of thumb, don't drive a dickhead on the road lessens likelihood of being pulled over if you're targeted for a "random license check" & bonnet inspection don't act like a dickhead to the officer & they usually let things like this slide, worked for me with my old R33/34
  2. my old GTT just cosmetic stuff genuine nismo rear bar, none of that Altia crap they flog off as 'nismo' LMGT3's clear indicators, carpet mats, leather gear knob probably more just can't remember
  3. hah! hope you're talking about benji, I'm a westie 4 lyf brah you running this one or steve-o? I should be right to volunteer for this one again, just gotta make sure closer to the event. I'd compete but I have a slightly buckled rim (tyre shop balanced it out but get wheel shudder when i brake at high speed) & don't have time to get it fixed until I go on holidays
  4. can be organised on the day no worries, but have either the cams L2NS or AASA form filled out prior to the event. There's plenty of time right now if you submit your application to get your fancy license/passbook in the mail first timer FAQ linked in the first post will have links to the actual forms These days are a lot of fun Benji give it a go if you haven't before
  5. those kids are gonna be winners when they grow up, they're good nominees for the darwin award at least PN-Mad beat me to it, paint codes are on your car's build plate, most are in the engine bay on some cars on the driver side door well you might need to get some dent removal too P.S is that hello kitty I see in the reflection on your first pic?
  6. http://www.myg37.com...ml?ref=esp-link you can always try making your own if you can't find what you're after The forum hosting the thread I linked is where I got the idea to try grounding wires on my car. I've never owned a v35 so cannot comment if it works on these cars but there was a definite lag in shifting on my auto v36 which the grounding wires helped with. Due to this it felt like the transmission delivered the power better through the improved shift response so it had a placebo effect of making the car "feel" faster. I was skeptical before I tried it, but it definitely made a positive difference to driving my car. a few things too; - it won't add anymore kw or hp - I didn't notice an improvement in my audio system quality - only makes a difference for improving auto transmission shifts as the manual won't make a difference, because you change gears manually (duh )
  7. silver V35s everywhere in canberra yesterday! one at the airport & a few getting around near the canberra uni
  8. well done fellas, I'm fairly handy with DIY but no way I could tackle a dash on my own
  9. Can you guys please stop quoting this post & bringing up the picture again?!!! Oh wait...
  10. can't say I'm familiar with v35 but can an aussie nissan service centre hook up a consult cable to troubleshoot error codes?
  11. Yep Blank canvas I'd much rather a stock car to build up with quality parts, I've seen some dodgey installs over the years!
  12. hmm sorry I can't be of more help but since nobody else has chimed in so far... I take it no warning lights on the dash suddenly lighting up with the beep? You could try resetting the ECU & see if that stops the beeping. hope you get it sorted soon
  13. Holy crap, nerd rage much? I hope he talks with a lisp ironically otherwise he just won the nerd gamer stereotype competition hands down
  14. his username explains a lot you know if you hit the play button at the right time, the music syncs up with the .gif in your sig
  15. maybe the next gen series depending if they turn out to be reliable, but Infiniti Aus will be trying to flog off old spec infinitis here for a few years that have already been available in overseas markets for the last 4 years, no thanks I hope they come to their senses & make the manual gearbox an option
  16. AHAHAAH loved 0:20
  17. definitely a rear bar lip, could just be a local made version of wherever the car is from or custom job. Looks neat either way, much nicer than vertex
  18. Sticker bombing is like when rappers started wearing grills, they dressed up everything else & got bored so went & did something stupid =
  19. Everything you've ever posted will come back to haunt you bro Good to hear you came to your senses on the dash though
  20. this is like when Borders went bust they wouldn't honour gift cards, absolute garbage
  21. This car is perfect
  22. offset old school badge is en vougue Centred old school badge is for individuals choose your poison
  23. very subtle difference but definitely noticeable. The gear changes in D & Ds seem much sharper & positive. upshifting feels a lot better in manual mode too. Grounding kit was one of the first things I did when I bought my car. manual V36's wouldn't need it though
  24. hi mate, you can get just the wires or a volt stabiliser kit which will cost a fair bit more, think I paid about $100 for mine? (bought aaages ago) the volt stabiliser is more wank factor than anything imo I just bought mine for convenience as it was already at the shop. Brand is Raizin volt stabilizer They will all pretty much do the same job just insulated metal cables really, try googling either grounding kits or bolt stabilizer. You can probably find something cheap on ebay. as long as it's got at least 5 cables of varying lengths you'll be right in my picture gallery I have pics of my install. It will give you an idea of what to do. Pretty much connect the cables from the negative battery terminal to a grounding point on the chassis, the engine block & the throttle bodies. Remember to disconnect the battery before you start work. The good thing about the kit I bought was it came with a metal bracket to connect to the negative battery terminal, & it had space to run the rest of the cables. I'll post a pic of this when I get the chance This is a pretty good instructional thread http://www.myg37.com...stallation.html A bit of common sense & 10 minutes you're done
  25. exhaust makes a bigger difference for turbos than n/a taking off the frontbar isn't a hard job, just a lot of screws, a small metal bracket on each side near the headlights & 3 cables to unplug as you pull the frontbar off (i think they are impact sensors for the airbags) I kept the screws & brackets in different bags so I didn't get anything mixed up 3) I was under the impression that a plenum spacer was more a necessity for the VQ35 in the v35/350z due to the intake design, I remember reading somewhere on Myg37.com ages ago that it wasn't really needed for the Vq37 http://www.skylinesa...s/page__st__120 my car saw a 21kw increase from Cat back exhaust 2.5" piping High flow panel filters I also installed a grounding kit, it helped improve the shifting feel of the auto gearbox funnily enough, the shifts felt that tiny bit quicker to make a noticeable difference after I installed. These cars have decent base line power output but nowhere near the potential of a turbo set-up. If you just want it as a comfy daily driver/cruiser with a bit of oomph it's perfect. The best bit, no cop drama I'd also suggest you look into aftermarket sport swaybars, springs if you want to lower it a bit & decent tyres Have fun, I love the sedans btw
