No problem, but you will have to contact me [email protected] As your profile does not allow me to email you. But if you have a RB DOHC & gearbox, it won't work for you, but if FJ20, probably.

Adam, My contact in Japan tells me his is Metallic Blue, I guess same as our MR30 sedan dark blue, but his interior is black, grey & red. He says he has had it for 15 years and only one other exists in that colour, he has seen in that time. He also tells me that the WHITE is code # 002 & the metallic silver is # 028 & the combination of the 2 is # 441, if your interested for future referrence. Mine is black/grey, but will change a little as completion gets nearer. I am thinking of getting the instrument surround, centre surround & console done in this carbon fibre look finish, as the silver faces are looking a bit ordinary and I have some poverty pack black faced parts in mint condition, but all black will look a bit bland I thought. The SAAS Enforcers are going to be retrimmed in black with grey/red inserts, similar to VN SS trim, 2 tone grey with the red fleck. Keeping the door trims as is for now, with black plush pile carpet on the floor. As I have said before, I stand 192 and standard height seating does not allow space for me with a helmet on, so have had to lower the seating about 100mm, they are mounted on 12mm alloy plate (aircraft grade) & the tracks mounted to the underside of the plate. I have a set of Z32 front buckets with all electric drivers seat, but on full down, is same height as standard, so if anybody wants a grouse pair of front seats, they might be up for grabs. The drivers seat is for & aft, lumber, up & down, side wings, all electric adjustable.

$1800.00 faaaaarrrrrk! that's steep. Glad I accumulated a bit of gear, cause I have, for my iron mask, 2 spare grilles, 2 pairs of front guards, 1 spare bonnet, 2 pairs of headlights, 3 sets of tail lights, 3 spare radiator/thermo fan assemblies, 1 radiator support panel, 3 spare bumpers etc, etc. Should be right for a bingle or 2, but don't plan on any, cheap insurance having the spares. As a matter of interest, what clutch set ups do you have?
-
BUT!!!!! you really wouldn't want a 4 door in any case, SURELY!!!!!!! I can't fit in a 4 door, at 192 tall I was gunna be sitting in the back seat of my MR30 Hatch. I was more than appreciative when my 2 door Paul Newman came along. There was one sold in Sydney recently for $10000.00 that I am trying to track down.
-
Just Jap at Kirrawee wants $150.00 each for his. And I got a few sets and i'm keeping them, just in case. Just sold a set to Stu_bear for his, along with complete Iron Mask front, but the rest are going on ice. Shit! in a couple of years I might be the only one with them eh! Stocking up on parts does pay off.

Adam & all, The Paul Newman Version Just heard from a contact in Japan and he tells me a 4 door sedan version was made between 1983/5. A lot rarer than the 2 door, but was made and does exist. My query is, how many actually exist in Australia, so anyone that has one please get in touch. Would also like to know how they're marked, colour schemes etc, etc. My own version is 2 tone, white over silver and has the signature as a decal on the sides as well as the gold badge on the back beside the number plate, but most I have seen just have the gold badge on the back. Please all owners get in touch with vin/body numbers etc for identification. Thanks, Dennis

Mick, Got an L20ET engine complete minus turbo bits for FREE. In Syd, but frieght pretty cheap. PM me to chat vabout it.
-
Same as late R31 box
-
For Just Jap then, i'm not surprised. But for the attachment, email me and I will give it to you that way, but it won't be any good to you, as you have an R31 RB turbo box. Looking for an R33 GTS 25t Tailshaft, if anyone can help.

RSX, You no read properly. NO compliance plates on the firewall, not anywhere on the car. 84 model, imported in 97, under 15 year rule, not hard to work out why no compliance plates and a receipt saying 82 model. Something else, if your not sure of the year of manufacture of your import, are you aware the year of manufacture is on your front brake hoses.
-
If it's all badged and looks legit, it may be. If it's an HR on the compliance plates on the firewall it could easily be, but we have never seen one out here. Remember! there is a lot of cars in Japan that we don't know of & it's hard to believe someone would try to make a copy of a slug. What you think? Like to see a pic of it. How you going with them plastic inlet snouts RSX.

$175.00 EACH????? Shite! I just sold a front..... bonnet, both lights & grille for $350.00 Just Jap want $150.00 each for their's & a couple of years ago I was buying front nose cuts for $600.00. From these I got headlights, grille, lower skirt spoiler, front bumper, washer pump, radiator, thermo fans, a/c condensor and the front air dam that now appears on the Jenesis site. Best I keep mine for spares, one day I might pick up a cheap DR cause the owner won't be able to repair it eh! hahahahahahahahaha AND attached, maybe????? is the drawing for the short shifter conversion
-
I found it in Unique Cars about 6 months ago. The guy wanted $8500.00 for it and claimed it as a one off, only 1 in Australia until I rang him asking what mine was if his was the only one in Aust.

I wasn't aware of a 4 door version of Paul Newman Version, only 2 doors, as it was released as a limited edition thing to celebrate the winning of the US Touring Car Championships, by Paul Newman. I know of 4 door DR30's but not PN's.

Adam/Sam, Does he want a complete L20ET engine assembly? Got mine for FREE, just pay the frieght to Adelaide from Sydney. I can probably arrange it for under $50.00 if you could pick it up from the depot. I am taking the induction & exhaust system and any external parts I need to put on my MR30 L24E, probably take the tuebo rocker cover as well, but internals not going to be touched. Genuine 157K. My PN is actually an 84 2 door, but import papers say 1982, it was imported in 1997, so it doesn't take a brain surgeon to work out what happened, no compliance plates to be found. I have a small problem, the colour scheme is White/Silver, does anyone know the colours or their codes? Anything on the compliance plates???
-
Josh, You tried Jaustech in Adelaide, the import a few of them. If no good, give me a call, or contact Just Jap at Kirrawee NSW, they have a front cut advertised in the latest Zoom magazine #76. Ph: (02) 9545 0532. Be careful as they're pricy, I enquired recently for a grille and lower lip spoiler and they wanted $150.00 each. Cheers, Dennis

Listen guys, tell me how to posat thumbnails on this site and I will put up the short shifter pic for all to see. And I saw someone advertising a Paul Newman, claiming as a "one off" in Australia, but you have, as you say 3 down in SA, there is mine in Sydney, there must be more in the country, doesn't someone in WA have one on this forum. I was chatting to one of my friends in Adelaide just yesterday, and looking forward to getting mine finished, as I will take it down there for a cruise, might get in run in properly quickly. Cheers
-
OR!!! the monaro is a SLUG. probably the latter eh!!!!!
-
Adam, I think they quick, just depends on the comparison. My mates in Adelaide tell me there is a Paul Newman down there, that after caning it's ass off, it does 15's at the 1/4. Hold that thought for a moment, 15.??? second 1/4 time and have some consideration for our own aussie muscle. The 5.7 litre Monaro only manages 17's for the 1/4, off the shelf. Compared to that! the Paul Newman is pretty quick eh!!!
-
Careful Adam, You might be accused of being blasfamous, after all, my Paul Newman has a lot more than 200. LOL
-
Yeh! Well it seems he has a problem, although it is extremely rare, that an R200 breaks. It is considered after all to be the IRS equivalent to a 9 inch. The crown & pinion can go, but not usually the LSD centre. And L20ET is rated at 108Kw (145hp) engine power.
-
Sam, If you went back through this post I think you would find referrence to your problem, as I have addressed it before. The Paul Newman comes standard with a 3.9:1 R200 LSD, the problem is, Nissan used it as a marketing ploy, rather than a performance factor. Your R200 LSD is working as an open diff, primarily because the preload in the diff is to low, it's stock at 15/20lb which is far to low, hence it's tendancy to only spin one wheel. You have to take it to a Diff specialist, or I can enquire from my man here in Sydney if there is anywhere in SA that he can recommend, but for street use, the pre load has to come up to about 50lb and for track, 70/80lb. It's going to cost you about $400/500.00 for this modification. Hope this helps.
-
The modification I speak of, is for the STOCK AS A ROCK R30 shift lever, used on L series engines. Not RB conversions, for these the mod is a new shifter @ about $200/300.00 After modification the length of the throw physically shortens by about 20mm. Does not work or affect R32/33 shift levers. AND rsx84, the shifter you are looking at does shorten the stroke/throw by about 20mm also.
-
?????????????????????????????????????????????? What you going on about?????????????????????? Who's talking G200 Charade, I thought this was an R30 NISSAN SKYLINE POST????? Am I on the wrong web site or something?????
-
Hi Guys, Anyone wishing to convert their STOCK MR30 shifter into a short shifter, let me know. And it's not making it shorter in length, it's making the throw in the gearbox about 20mm shorter, similar to the Nismo RB short shifter, but the cost is ZERO.
