  1. @@@@@ GUARD FLARES @@@@@ Hey Guys, Go to www.r31skylineclub.com, then open link to Forums, then scroll down to trading post, "Parts" and fatz (Pete) has a group buy for $300.00 set delivered. $50.00 deposit gets it all up and running. Cheers.
  2. I have been quoted under $450.00 for cooler with core size 700 x 270 x 65. Is the thickness all that critical, compared to the front surface area, where the air gets to it. I believe 600 x 270 would be the perfect size for R30's, as you wouldn't have to cut the guts out of your lower spoiler to accomodate it.
  3. Just been studying a set of S13 coilovers. Can't see how the fronts are anything like EASY conversion. But rears look OK, but has anyone thought of changing the tops, swapping the stock R30 top for the S13, then NO DRILLING required. Would this work???
  4. As far as I know, they are NON SERVICEABLE, But! the workshop manual says it is possible, so email me on [email protected] and I will scan and send you the pages concerning this procedure.
  5. COILOVERS????? You all want to modift to use S13. Why not make up, do the mods to your own R30 struts (front) only need to find a machine shop that will machine off the existing spring seat. The thread kit & nuts can be bought through Wideline or Noltec direct for about $400.00. If doing it this way, you can cut down the strut case to suit R31 inserts, that are about 40mm shorter, therefore the damper piston stroke doesn't alter when lowering. Rears can be made up using R31 rear shocks, they are 32mm shorter.
  6. When we get 8 starters.
  7. R30 POLO SHIRTS How many members of this forum, ACTIVE on this thread would be interested in our own R30/SAU POLO SHIRT, if we had one made up.
  8. 1. You would have to get your cross member and rear trailing arms to SA. 2. After modification they would then be reshipped to QLD. 3. 0300, I am a security consultant and work a lot of nights. 4. American Beer? get a few GMD's into you, a six pack goes down like water, but it kicks like a mule.
  9. ADJUSTABLE REAR SUSPENSION $400-500.00, supply own cross member and trailing arms. Minimum order eight (8) units. LET's get it together, sounds like a good deal to me.
  10. Waiting on price confirmation now! Asked the question this morning, but keep in your mind, it will ONLY be a goer if eight (8) of us go it together, g'teed, no pulling out.
  11. ADJUSTABLE REAR SUSPENSION Baz from DatSport in Adelaide will modify or make up the jig to make the R30 Suspension FULLY ADJUSTABLE, if we can get 8 people willing to get the job done. DO WE HAVE EIGHT (8) on this forum that want's the job done????????
  12. If you look closely on the thumbnail, just left of the bottom left corner of tail light, you will see a bubbly section. THIS IS RUST in the support bar and it looks UGLY if not FUGLY and the clips rust and break. GOOD 2nd hand is hard to find and NEW might be a better alternative. Mike, Is yours the same as pic?
  13. Certainly Has!!!! they all do!!!! Coupes, Sedans, Hatches, Jap imports & Aussie delivered, they all got one. To you it may appear to be part of the rear bar, but it certainly is there. Check Thumbnail!
  14. This thread was started, PRIMARILY to warn members what happens to OLYMPIC tyres in these conditions and should be avoided. Particularly when the tyre engineer says it is normal.
  15. That's an excellent deal, considering they want $8-10 for a wheel stud.
  16. Mike, There are 2 cars in my local that I haven't seen, but will this week, you want me to check and if so, which model is yours.
  17. Good luck, I search Sydney wreckers for them all the time. If they're not damaged from accidents, they're bubbling from rust, from the backing and clips. In about 5 years I have found 3 that are perfect, and those 3 are now drowned in fishoil. In your search, be aware that 81/82 are different to 83/85.
  18. I just contacted them by email & BAZ replied, ONLY FOR 510/1600's, doesn't know of any ARC's for R30's. Can your info be confirmed?
  19. The 3 slat grille came in series 1, 81/82 Aussie Delivered POVERTY PACKS, sedans. It was Ti sedans & hatchbacks that had the weave/milk crate/honeycombe effect between the slats. And a 3 slat grille should be in some wrecking yards, but WHY???? would you want one, they look like sh!t. I got one here with TRUST on the middle slat, that must be worth a motsa eh!!! lol
  20. If we can get a hook into Jenesis, there's are about $35.00 + frt/postage. I would think $70.00 is a bit rich. And I would wait a while to see if we can get something going with Option 1 Garages in Brisbane to get into Jenesis. Re your brakes: Globes more than likely problem, but check brake light switch on pedal arm, but globes would be my choice. Get some quality ones, Phillips, Tungsram, or Narva PREMIUM, don't buy the shit at a garage.
  21. boj01, The R/S badges have 2 vertical pins, primarily as locator pins as they are held on by the usuall black double sided tape, and I would be surprised if the R32 & 33 badges would cover. Where you get $70.00 each for new badges? [ant] Regarding the braces, I am putting in both. Making mine out of chrome-molly for strength & weight, but should be able to get them made from steel & powder coat cheap enough. Go and talk to your fabrication shops, sheet metal workers, light engineering etc. And the damper! go talk to your local bike shop, motor bike shocks are available in a large range of lengths and compression/extension options. I found a Spax model that would do the job admirably, I think it comes off a 50 or similar for my RB.
  22. Where does it say 185??? 195/60 x 15 is standard!
  23. I agree, I know what it looks like, but knowing the guy and how he treats the car, I can't believe he has driven on it flat for ages. I think it's a crook tyre and the purpose of this thread is to let everyone know that it happens and there is no warning.
  24. The section of road it happened on is a series of sweeping left & right turns, believe me, if the tyre was flat, the car would nearly go sideways.
  25. I've been driving over 30 years and travelled more than 1,500,000 miles, done some track racing along the way but have never seen a tyre do that, or look like it in such a short distance. I can understand if he had driven on it for 10/20/30 k's but he didn't. I have had tyres delaminate at over 100mph, had tyres go flat at similar speeds, but not explode like this one.
