apart from the vct and valve springs, are the 32 and 33 25de's externally different in any other ways?

Even if my car was working, wouldn't of gone anywhere near the place with it. Been to summernats before, once is enough for me.

Will most likely need these in a few weeks, If I can't find any here, will buy retail. If someones gotes some for an rb25det, send me a pm or reply here. thanks.

Engine was built at a tuning shop in japan, put in 8 years ago, I would suspect it has about 100k's on it, I was suprised at the low compression myself, but that being the case I thought maybe it had been built as a low compression engine? Idk, havent seen the internals, will be talking to a local shop about the work I want done tomorrow or on wednesday. What's so special about not having the VCT? and it's implications re bigger turbos? Hadn't heard anything about vct being an issue before.

Yeah I new Mick (bullet32) was getting a 3076r, was hoping someone in canberra already had one, as I'm hoping to get the work started sometime this month. I have most of the supporting mods for this turbo already. How much is the water meth injection setup costing you? evl?

Yeah I've had a look through there and researched a fair bit, I'm thinking it will be a bit laggier from what everyones said, but no better way to find out than riding in a car with one

Sleepy was kind enough to take me for a spin in his skyline with a GT-RS hks turbo, very responsive, was wondering if anyone on here has a Garret GT3076r on a rb25 I can compare it to please? Don't really want to drive it, just sit in the passengers seat and see how it goes. Am thinking about both turbo's atm. thx

Far as I know S2 lights have a line through them, following the bumper line, S1 lights have no line through them. I've been told I have s2 lights heres a pic of mine. could be wrong but thats what I've been told

So by the looks of it I'll be getting a 3706r with a .82a/r and ext wastegate, as this would negate any boost creap issues? So I'd be up for a custom dump pipe? Anyone have an idea how much one of those should cost? Will need to source the injectors And I take it with my mods I should be able to get around 250-270kw on 16psi or so? atm not sure which wastegate size to pick as the calcs in there don't make any sense. but doing it myself, not sure the calculations right, I take it for that power I'd be after a 38mm wastegate roughly? Do I have to get the car taken to an exhaust shop to get the custom dump made up? as it is off the road atm

ok hang on I though 1kw was 1.34 hp, how are people getting figures of 340kw = 540hp? kW: kilowatt. 1kW = 1.34hp. EU countries such as Germany prefer to use kW http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.a...h=&t=186006 and from SK's early response 300kw * 1.34 = 402 bhp not 480 , even if you factor in driveline loss it doesn't add up, couldn't find any other stickied wastegate thread either. so someone tell me if I'm f**king up the calculation

i have a hks adjustable actuator on my now f**ked rb25 slide hiflow, but yes they fit and work on my rb25 at least.

what spec 3076r did you end up getting?

which traders selling gtrs turbos for 2800 here? As I don't see any at that price.

drift car maybe, but all cars under the new scheme need to come in as stock, as far as I know.

You were happy with the response on the 3706r? Was it running out of puff on the dyno or still had something left in it?

listing your mods would be good, I'm tossing up between the gtrs and the 3706r atm, from what i've read boost will come on later but if you have the right supporting mods you'll have full boost by 4000. no point getting the turbo if you dont have the mods to support it edit: do a search on the turbo and you'll find out about other peoples experiences as well.
