  1. I've got a Whistler Pro78 and it's great, haven't had a fine of any sort since I got it ~4yrs ago. It also gives you a much better awareness of what's happening on the road, especially as more and more emergency vehicles and road workers join the Safety Warning System programme.
  2. Is usenet a hosting site? I don't partake in torrenting so if there is another way..
  3. So that gets you to $600, but you still haven't addressed afm, injectors or ECU.. Just forget it and sell the car already.
  4. 2k? I found a VL turbo setup including injectors and computer, for just over 1k in the quokka. But as has been said to the OP, you will never recoup any money you spend on the car. We do up cars for our own enjoyment, if you're thinking of resale value when you're modifying, then you need a reality check.
  5. 2WD + LSD + shift kit Jus' sayin'.
  6. With turbos, you just want to get the gasses out of there as fast as possible, any back pressure post-turbine will slow the turbine down. With long exhausts on a street car, stepping the size of the exhaust down helps maintain velocity. For example, a 4" dump in to a 3.5" front then 3" catback would probably work quite well (or maybe 2x 2.5" so you still get the volume but you increase the velocity).
  7. If you didn't pick a stupid date I would be there P.S. and if you edit my post again I'll get real shitty
  8. wow.. even with shipping there would still be like a 500% markup!
  9. I got a complete RB30E for $100 out of the quokka..
  10. Well seeing as the RB30 was never released in Japan, I'm not surprised there's not a lot of support for them over there... Local business such as Lewis Engines, Proengines, JPC, Spool, RIPS in NZ etc will be your best bet for RB30 stuff. The majority of RB stuff is generic, such as oil pumps, I got Spool rods for mine, and as for a crank/block you need to hit up a wrecker or the Quokka (or whatever your equivalent trading type paper is).
  11. PCV valve is a one-way valve, the brake booster on our Nissans (probably only the turbo ones) have a one way valve as well.
  12. 16 flashes just means there is a fault, you need to run the diagnostic procedure for the trans.. it's the same procedure as for 34GTT auto, there are a couple of threads about it.
  13. Wait till you hear porn through the stereo.. strangely seems to have some serious bass to it P.S. good work on the NIStune front, keen to see results
  14. Under the sills, there is a lip, this lip has little notches at the front and back, these are the factory jacking points. I usually use the forward rear subframe mounts, and the chassis rails either side of the bellhousing (just before they bend upwards).
  15. 2 different prototypes made, just need to check fitment
  16. I'll be in for groupbuy #3
  17. Most use the Navara sender (pretty sure it was less than $30 new from Nissan) and graft on the cog from the 33gtst sender.
  18. Checked your tire pressures? If still in doubt, take it to WA Suspensions.
  19. +1 to not being able to find anyone to ship a pressurised pressure vessel. When we fly with our paintball tanks (High pressure air ~4500psi), we remove the regulator so there is no chance the tank can hold any pressure. P.S. http://www.summitracing.com/search/Departm.../?Ns=Rank%7cAsc
  20. I was going to make one out of an old paintball CO2 cylinder and some braided line. Maybe have a look at summit racing, pretty sure I saw some of these systems on their website
  21. Unfortunately the OP is in Trinidad/Tobago and they don't have RB30E's over there.. I've been telling him to build a 30 for ages
  22. I removed a 0.8mm and a 1.4mm shim and replaced with two 1.49mm, was pretty tight to begin with, a lot of clunking etc. Couple of months on now and I barely notice it except when full lock reversing out of a parking spot, but even then it's barely noticable. Still spins both wheels very predictably.. much safer in the bus than the old open centre
