  1. 100% no issues. I have a high flow, a custom dump pipe, had a Kakimoto 80mm de-cat front pipe and a Legalis cat-back. No issues whatsoever. Indeed... whether it is the engine, transmission, DVD "player", suspension or exhaust, there are very, very few sellers and workshops that get their shit right with these cars. Hmm... maybe someone needs to put a website together where people could easily get the right info on these cars....
  2. "thoughtless"..... suuuuuuure
  3. So you mean that wasn't God talking directly to me? I might just wait for it to go platinum before I pick it up... which should be by tomorrow anyway Quite a lot of negativity from reviews and what I have seen in vids... can anyone that has it confirm that there is only damage the cars that have cockpit view?
  4. So just to make it perfectly clear to my foggy mind, Leon, this TV tuner will not allow the factory reversing camera to display?
  5. Did you buy the "owners manual" or the "owners manual & service schedule maintenance book"? Any chance of some pics of some of the pages so we know what to expect?
  6. I am surprised that was all you got Graham.... future reference, it is a good idea to put the vas on one terminal at a time!
  7. Haha, and the driver.... and possibly a different ecu depending on build dates (there were 4 or 5 different RS ecu's so I assume there would have to be improvements made the later the build )
  8. Nice find
  9. Nope. The Nissan part number is 01553-09321 but they will cost you around $2 each over here! As an aside, Jesse can send you a heap over and I think they are around 60c each from memory
  10. Update to GB.... Price for 10+ units is still $697 each, but there is also a GB price of $747 each for an order of 5-9 units. Also, all kits will be shipped out of the HDi Sydney warehouse via TNT and will be on your doorstep (anywhere in Aus) within 3-5 business days.
  11. And protection they shall receive. I have negotiated with HDi (Sydney, Australia) directly to supply and ship the kits for the price stated at the start of this thread. All kits will be shipped via TNT straight to the buyers door (Australia wide) within 3-5 business days from when the order is placed. I have also negotiated a price for 5-9 units, but this will incur a $50 premium over the 10+ unit GB price.... so $747 inc shipping
  12. Hasn't this Nulon marketing BS been covered before?
  13. Dunno what the performance difference would be, but I am sure they would all differ slightly due to their pipe/muffler designs. RHD shipping is $412 express (same week delivery), so no, not cheaper - but it is uncut I was looking at the Kakimoto R last year when I had a kakimoto 80mm de-cat front pipe and also felt it sat a bit low. Having seen both, the Blitz does sit up a bit higher than the Kaki.
  14. Agree 100%, but as Ironpaw stated above, the 50560Y that Jesse quoted was exclusive of fees/commission.
  15. They are only mufflers, not a full cat-back system. But they are very good quality and give unique notes (depending on design) from what I have read. I know, just thought I would give you some other options you may not have looked into, but the 61,000Y from RHD includes all fees (but not shipping), so make sure you factor in Jesse's fees when comparing unit prices. Jesse is awesome to deal with and if you are willing to have the exhaust cut to fit in a box, there is no reason why you wouldn't got through him.
  16. Yeah, you won't have any performance loss. Or you could look at the Blitz through RHD. I don't know what Jesse has quoted you for either, but the Blitz is pretty good value... although it will cost you about $400 in shipping.
  17. Neither will be "too loud", but the Blitz will be quieter by a fair bit. I didn't think that Jesse could ship exhausts due to the box being over 1.5m long (unless you are prepared to wait for his container to ship). I know that RHDJapan/Bidjdm, Import Monster and Nengun can ship any cat-backs that you want from Japan - either new or via Yahoo Auctions. For a quick comparison, check out the M35 Aftermarket Exhaust thread I put together sometime ago.
  18. RWD = no grip at higher power levels (although that could be a good thing for some - but then you gotta keep buying tyres) Build quality = sub-par (still a Falcon) Can only seat 2 Bogan - means you would have to join a Ford forum, buy some flannel and drink VB (AND watch all of Bathurst in your garage)
  19. Tell me you see the irony
  20. Glad the car is okay at the moment. Did you change anything?
  21. LOL Consider that hint not taken Dunc!
  22. True, but at least he didn't think they were used to hold the fuel trigger on
  23. Farken LOL Andy, don't even get me started. Craig, if you ever look at and say "hey boy, you look mighty cute in dem jeans", I will punch you square in the throat.... but I am a little flattered that you fantasize about me Aaron, don't stop now mate, you are on a roll (btw, don't bother putting that "spank" emoticon near Craig's name - it only excites him more)
  24. Agreed.... and the difference in exhaust note as stated by PN-Mad - well in my experience this has been the case anyway. Exact same system, I don't see there being a difference in performance. You wouldn't bother heat wrapping a cat-back... but dump pipe or possibly front pipe? Definitely. Depends on the engine and driving conditions as to how long it will last... Take the VQ for instance, there is quite a bit of water vapour that goes through the exhaust (and sits in it when the car is turned off). With a stainless exhaust, this is not a problem... or how about if you drive on dirt roads? Having mud stuck to a mild steel exhaust would also speed up oxidation due to the moisture being "held" onto the steel. Even if it was painted, the protective paint could easily be scratched off in areas by stones or speed bumps. Why is modification easier for a mild system than a stainless one? They can both easily be cut and welded so labour charge is the same and both are readily available. Perhaps the prices quoted to you for a stainless system in the past have been a little cheeky? I suppose another plus to a stainless exhaust would be re-sale. There has to be a reason people will state in their sale ads "Full custom stainless exhaust" in they have one and only "Full custom exhaust" if they have a mild steel one. Both systems have their +'s and -'s, but for the sake of a couple hundred bucks I will always go with a stainless unit over mild.
